Rendered dot by dot by Muniz's own hand, the famous Warhol portrait becomes slightly abstracted, making for a more impactful and interactive visual experience. After painstakingly creating this portrait, Muniz photographed the drawing while the glistening ink was still wet. Using the traditional Cibachrome printing process, the resulting photographic print captures every detail of the ink with mesmerizing clarity. Juarez Machado is a Brazilian painter, born in 1914 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Juarez studied fine arts at the School of Art in Parana, Curitiba. Machado started showing signs of talent in art at a very young age, and by the time Machado was 20 years old, he had several awards to his name.
Giulia Bianchi is a Brazilian artist, living and working in São Paulo. She creates images surrounded by synesthesia, evoking textures, aromas and flavors through painting and drawing. In her paintings, she challenges the subject-object separation, inspired by an animist vision of the world and contemporary anthropological thinking. Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira (previously) recently completed work on his largest installation to date titled Transarquitetônica at Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade in São Paulo. As with much of his earlier sculptural and installation work the enormous piece is built from tapumes, a kind of temporary siding made from inexpensive wood that is commonly used to obscure construction sites.
