The more we look, the more we love the Seligia hypercar concept. This low-slung speedster features an ultra-light construction with an aerodynamic body using ad
If you're going to call it a sidecar, might as well use a real car in there, right? That's exactly what Francois Knorreck did with the Snaefell, a motorcycle with an attached car on the side. Quite possibly the oddest thing you can hope to see on the road, the vehicle combines a triple-engine 1000cc
The Tatra 77 homage pays tribute to the Czechoslovakian automobile that paved the way for the curvilinear cars we see today. Widely regarded as the world's first serial-produced, truly aerodynamically-designed automobile, the Tatra 77 was designed in 1934 by Hans Ledwinka (an Austrian automotive designer) and Paul Jaray (an aerodynamics specialist and zeppelin designer). For
the conceptual and realized car designs of the swiss-italian '3D philospher and scientific reality artist', are presented in a 1,500m squared outdoor space at the triennale bovisa, milan.
Part of the motivation behind our efforts to design the sailing version of the RowCruiser came from the Race to Alaska (R2AK). As competitors in the race, we wanted something that was fast by oar and sail and could be raced non-stop for more than one week by two people. We feel this overall concept will also make a fu

The KTM X-BOW has the power to induce automotive lust. It seduces with its dramatic and brutal beauty, tantalises through the sophistication of its carbonfibre monocoque, the potential of its advanced aerodynamics, and its motorsport parentage. This book is a fitting tribute to this unique car. A tribute to the dazzling KTM X-BOW – the world’s first production sports car with a full carbon composite monocoque. To fully understand and enjoy this car it should be appreciated on many different levels: a racing car for the road, and a road car that can excel on the track; its unique composition and aerodynamic qualities; its design and aesthetics. The X-BOW was brought to life by the virtually unlimited resources of an industrial giant steeped in motorsport, which demanded that it be technologically cutting-edge. The car was honed to perfection by arguably the finest racing car engineers in the world, for whom ‘best in class’ was a minimum requirement. It is an objét d’art that can race in anger, or can transport in style. It startles, it fascinates, it wins. As Mr Toad (of The Wind in the Willows fame) would undoubtedly have said, it is “A most unusual car!” – we are lucky that this most unusual car, the KTM X-BOW, exists in our lifetime. This book details the design and development, the build process, racing history, and what it’s like to live with and maintain a X-BOW, written by joint owners and enthusiasts, with the full cooperation of the car’s designers and developers.

Is that so much to ask?
Recently formula 1 race car for 2021 has been annoucned. Significant changes have been made in the design of the F1 2021 car e.g. simplified front wings, sweeping bodywork, bigger rear wings, simplified suspension etc. How will that impact the aerodynamics to answer this question I have done aerodynamics analysis of F1 2021 concept race car. Some initial results are included in this project. Simulation is performed using ANSYS CFX. Around 18 million mesh cells are used in this analysis. For capturing turbulence SST turbulence model is used. More details and short PDF report will be added shortly. ANSYS CFX case file also included for download. Note: These are initial results of F1 CFD based on a not very accurate 3D model of F1 car, more advanced results will follow in near future based on more accurate 3D model.
