The Turvy Compass Pocket Jacket features a unique construction with shirttails that have been rotated 90 degrees along its circumference. This results in the split “side” seams of the jacket ending up at the front and back while the curved front and back panels end up situated at its sides. The spacious pockets that run along the entire width of the body are drawn with a compass and then folded in half, resulting in a semicircular shape with ample storage space and added durability. The medium-weight cotton calico cloth has been woven with a textural grid of Tender’s beekeeper’s cloth. Approximately 11" x 14"; 17" x 23"; 23" x 30" The compass rose has been used on nautical charts for centuries. I drew this one in a way that appears to be an old wood cut print. Each print is hand aged by soaking in staining solutions, crumpling, ironing back out, tearing edges, touching up damage, signing, and numbering.
