What??? That's who I have spent the last three days with ... singing mountain goats ... aka my daughter and her friends. We took a little "Senior Trip" down to Zions Park. And those kids ran me into the ground!! Of course, they were SINGING all the way, so how I am going to get frustrated with THAT?? I have soooo much to do in the next couple of weeks before Stampin' Up Convention. I have Girl's Camp NEXT week, and I have a BUNCH of "secret sister" gifts to make. AND I still have a MOUNTAIN of swaps to do (mountain goats, mountains of swaps ... I have a theme goin' on here). I had a box of new stampy goodness waiting for me when I got home yesterday, so I made up a quick card (the new stuff is the framelits and the woodgrain embossing folder). I realized when I opened the box that the stamp set/die cuts I wanted the MOST were not there!! I had ordered the WRONG ones!! (I ordered "Friendship Preserves" instead of "Pefectly Preserved" ... DRAT!!) Here we are on the top of Angels Landing ... this hike is NOT for wimps!! These guys were mostly unfazed by it at the time (although MOST of them took a nap after we got back to the house!). Great bunch of kids ... LOTS of singing, laughter, hiking, eating and good times. Now, off to swap-making land! Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Petite Pairs Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede Accessories: Woodgrain Textured Impressions Folder, Window Frame Framelits, Large Oval Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Linen Thread

Happy Tuesday Peeps!! I have another card I made using the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I used the Stamp Set Serene Silhouettes from Stampin Up. I decided to go monochromatic with this one. The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock and then a layer of Very Vanilla. The DSP on here is from the Comfort Cafe paper pack. The sentiment is from the Hostess set Express Yourself. I used the Fancy Fab EF on the strip and added some basic pearls and a vanilla button with a twine bow. Thanks for stopping by today! Vicki
Hello stamping friends! Happy Friday! It's new challenge day over at Just Add Ink and do we have a fun challenge for you - Just Add Ink #604 | Just Add a CASE of Yourself Challenge suggested by fellow JAI team member Jan. How fun!!! When I am stuck for new ideas I sometimes go back to my older card designs and CASE myself and that will usually get the creative ideas flowing. Do you do that too? I know I'm not the only one. With CASEing the idea is to use the original design but to change it up and 'make it your own'. This is my original card that I made back in January 2021. So not that long ago. I really loved the layering of the cardstock and the DSP along with the flowers in each corner. I thought this card design really lended itself so well to the Stampin' Up! Abigail Rose suite that I had just ordered and really wanted to use. And this is then my CASEd card. As you can see I've kept to the same basic design but I've changed it up a slightly. I really thought the floral image from the Cottage Rose stamp set was too large to add two of them to this card as like the original. I still tried to layer ribbon, twine and die cuts with this flower to make a floral 'spray' like my original. I've finished off the card with some heat embossed gold splatters, basic pearls and the Happy Birthday sentiment stamped in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I do hope that you are inspired by my original creation and my CASEd version here today. I can't wait to see your CASEd creations and how you changed up one of your original creations. The slightest change can make a card look completely different. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see their CASEd projects and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see your creations. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping!
