The 2nd picture for this rug is an example hooked by Rose Raymond -She says "I used several values of New Zealand wool yarn and a myriad of specialty yarns and mixed medium. This includes stretch velvet and organza fabrics, pieces of sparkly fabrics from salvaged garments, ribbons, metallic cording, faux suede and chenille yarns. Each yarn and fabric was selected for it's texture and amount of sheen. Metallic cording was used to create the bracelet on the mermaid's arm and her silver belt. I hooked crinkled organza into the tail fins so they appear luminescent.
