HOBE' Floral Bead Spray Necklace Unsigned, Hand Wired Glass Choker, Flowers Dangles, Vintage A stunning vintage Hobé necklace (unsigned) that fits more like a choker. It's a double strand filled with frosted white glass beads, pink faceted translucent beads, and green glass carved swirled beads. Each bead has gold-tone end caps, and is separated by rhinestone spacers. The focus is on a gorgeous center floral cluster comprised of small glass flower and leaf beads, pink swirled glass beads, a few clear rhinestones, gold-tone fern-like leaf, clear green glass protruding leaves, and moon glow white tear-drop glass beads. The main cluster is hand-wired to a gold-tone round filigree frame. On the bottom of the frame are dangling glass beads, flowers, and leaves from gold-tone links. Features a hook closure with a small cluster of the same floral motif beads on the other end of the fastener. Although unsigned, the detailed workmanship, variety of specialty beads, and grand style are typical examples of Hobé jewelry. Length .... 15-1/2" Central Cluster .... 3" x 2" Hallmark .... none Condition .... I see no missing rhinestones nor beads. Spacer rhinestones are clear. Hand wiring is tight. Light wear on the back of the filigree disk. There is a wide range of designs from Hobé. Among the most sought after and recognizable are the sterling silver floral pieces and the beaded necklaces. The latter showcasing specialty stones and unusual bead combinations. Hobe’s pieces were often very colorful and glittering, especially those he made for celebrities.
