"I like contouring because it’s easy and it can save you a whole load of construction trouble if you do it right. I’ve had times when I haven’t contoured and I’m left with a whole load of excess fabric that I can’t get rid of, rendering the garment unwearable and it’s annoying! This tutorial will probably make a lot more sense if you watch my more in-depth tutorial on contouring! It’s not a prerequisite, but it will help."

This pattern is a mini version of my women's A Whole Dot of Love Jumper, designed with the same stitches and shape and including a round neck. It is unisex. The sizes correlate to a child's age so that ages 1 - 12 are covered. The pattern uses DK/8ply/light weight yarn and a 4mm/G hook, or hook to suit gauge. I’ve noticed that some DK weights are slightly finer than some of the ‘8ply’ equivalent I’ve used from Australia. Keep this in mind as you aim for the right gauge. You can adjust the neckline to suit your gauge as long as you follow the measurements approximately. As usual I am happy to answer questions via email or through my Instagram page. A lot of the techniques used in this pattern are available as full tutorials on my Instagram on IGTV and highlights. Sandra x
