Use these fun chemistry-themed student grouping tables (Periodic Partner Appointment Clocks) to mix up your middle or high school students for activities and labs! This is similar to an "appointment clock", only Chemistry themed using the Periodic Table and element names! The first three pages are for pairing students by twos, threes, and fours, respectively. Use these sheets if you plan to use this system often for grouping your students. The fourth page accommodates various sized groups in one; using this sheet makes the pairings quicker, although there is less diversity of groupings…use this sheet if you are planning to use this pairing system sparingly. To use these groupings, just tell the students which element group they will be working with for the activity and have them check their 'Periodic Partners' table and sit with their group members for that element! I have included helpful hints for the teacher for smoothly facilitating the pairings. This is a great activity for one of the first days of class when the kids are getting to know each others' names.
