For this simple stamped manicure I used a base of China Glaze Thistle do Nicely. It was rather hard to capture the color of this bright beauty, it's neon pink! I put it on in the evening and went for a walk with hubby, I was staring at my nails the whole time. Turns out I like neons, lol! It was practically glowing pinky-orange and there's no way to capture that in a photo. It was a bit streaky for me and dried somewhat matte, but I got the coverage I was after in 3 coats and the glossy look with a topcoat. Black makes a great contrasting color for neons, so that's what I used. Ya Qin An in black, from BornPretty Store that I purchased recently. I'm definitely pleased with this polish and it's become my go-to black. The beautiful lace is from a recently used Loja BBF 34. I'm trying to use up all of the designs on this plate :D
Hey guys, I'm back with a new swatch post for you today; China Glaze I Sea the Point, from their summer 2014 line, Off Shore. I am, have always been, and probably will always be, a sucker for blue/green shade. And this one is no exception. even though I already have a very similiar color (Essie Butler Please, which I will talk about more below), I still had to buy this one. I got this from GlamCollection8, for IDR 70.000, which is a steal, because they're having a huge sale on all brands for this month! yes, you're welcome :p Swatch and more info after the jump! please excuse the nasty little cut on my pointer, I had a little battle with my kitchen knife a few days ago ;) For these I used 2 coats of I Sea the Point over OPI Nail Envy Original and topped with 1 coat of topcoat. I Sea The Point is a bright cobalt blue, the formula is a little on the thick side, but nothing not managable. The color itself is MUCH MORE vibrant in real life, but my camera couldn't capture it somehow :( Ever since Nails Inc came out with Baker Street and Sally Hansen with Pacific Blue, all the other brands have been trying to copy the vibrant blue, though it's really hard to find Nails Inc in Indonesia :'( And here you can see the comparison between Essie Butler Please and CG I Sea The Point. I used both 2 coats and topcoat, but I prefer CG's formula better. As you can see, there are still a bald spot on my middle finger. The color however, I think Essie's is much more vibrant than CG; although you can't really see the difference unless you squint really hard! And, I don't know if you notice it or not, but the Essie's pigment would sink and reddish fluid would float to the upper part of the bottle if you don't shake it. So ladies, do you have Essie Butler Please? Would you consider replacing it with China Glaze I Sea the Point? Talk to you guys again soon ;)

Since the Twinkie Nail Art Challenge is now on hold I've decided to join Stamping Saturdays that Of Life and Lacquer does in order to stick to posting four days each week. But first I thought that I would show you the base that I used for my first round since I don't have any other colors like it in my collection. I've had CG Ravishing, Dahling sitting in my untrieds for almost a year now. It's a deep red vampy jelly, and I have nothing else like it. This isn't normally something that I would reach for but I do like that it is a jelly and I'm happy to own it. It was a little tricky to apply in that it's fairly thin and loves to run. I used three medium coats with topcoat to even out some balding that I had. I can't wait to share the stamping that I did over this as it made me love it even more! This has been released in two collections and is now permanent so if you need a nice vampy shade I'd check it out. What do you ladies think? Even though this is a smaller collection, I really like that it contains a variety of shades and finishes as well. I found the formulas to be self leveling and no issues with the application at all. Generally I like the formulas on China Glaze polishes and these were no different. If you like China Glaze, you'll like this mini collection for sure.
