some traditions never die. i've been doing these portraits w/ my 1st graders for about 13 years now. and every year i love them even more. incase you don't know, the "100th day of school" is a big deal in most elementary schools. the kids celebrate and do lots of counting activities. in art, we always do portraits. the kids imagine how they think they will look when they are 100. we embellish w/ gaudy jewely, flowers, wrinkles, grey hair and more. we also attach a short story to them about what they'll do, where they will go, etc. they are hilarious!! :) enjoy (and happy 102nd day of school! wooo!).
