Handmade in Southern Spain, the Candela is the studio’s smallest yet warmest creation so far. “Candela” by POTT goes off on a tangent and takes its concept of organic lighting a step further by exploring natural incandescence. The result consists in a reversible ceramic candle holder morphing seamlessly from a tea light holder into a taper holder. Handmade from POTT's workshop in southern Spain, each piece is moulded individually by master potters, ensuring uniqueness to each one of them.

Miniature-builder and ceramicist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz constructs tiny homes, studios, and workshops perched within or around domestic objects. Previously we’ve covered his mini treehouses—impressive structures that scale succulents and other common houseplants with the support of petite scaffolding. Recently the artist has combined two of his preferred mediums, building small-scale interior scenes in the cross-section of his handmade ceramic vessels. The multi-piece sculptures feature workbenches, complex machinery, crystals, and telescopes which peer from the top of the converted pots. More

Deep in the handicraft workshop of the town, there is a designer named Xingchen. With his exquisite craftsmanship and deep understanding of traditional culture, he has launched a funnel-shaped creative teacup, which skillfully integrates traditional tea rhyme with modern design concepts. The uniqueness of this teacup lies in its funnel-shaped design, which not only has practicality, but also adds a touch of artistic flavor to the process of tea tasting. When hot tea slowly flows from the teapot into the teacup, the smooth and elegant lines seem to tell the profound heritage of tea culture. Xingchen devoted great efforts to the design of this teacup. He deeply studied the traditional tea culture, excavated its essence, and combined with modern design elements. After repeated scrutiny and experiments, he finally presented this work with both traditional charm and modern aesthetic feeling. In the choice of materials, the stars are striving for perfection. He chose high-quality ceramic materials, and after careful polishing and firing, the teacup not only looks beautiful, but also feels comfortable. In the details, he is not careless, and every small part has been carefully polished to be perfect. This funnel-shaped creative teacup, with its unique design concept and exquisite technology, has become the first choice for tea lovers. It is not only a work of art, but also a practical thing that can bear the tea culture and convey the aesthetics of life. For you who are pursuing quality life, this teacup is undoubtedly a rare choice.

These saucer-inspired candle holders are designed by Nicol Boyd and Tomas Rosén of ‘Office for Product Design’, an international design studio based in Hong Kong. They’re made of zinc, with a rough matte finish reminiscent of cast iron. There are two options available; one suitable for a standard candle and one for a tea light candle. Both share the same form factor and diameter, so they can be displayed together with a uniform look. Made by No.30, a family-run workshop, specialized in zinc casting (Their brand name is based on zinc’s atomic number on the periodic table) Designers Nicol Boyd and Tomas Rosén Maker No.30 Material Zinc alloy Dimensions ø4 × H0.85 in. / ø10 × H2.2 cm Origin Taiwan
