Sizes: XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) Size guideThe Maggie Cardigan is designed to have approx. 5 cm [2 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 5 cm [2 inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm [29½-31½ (31½-33½) 33½-35½ (35½-37½) 37½-39½ (39½-43¼) 43¼-47¼ (47¼-51¼) 51¼-55 (55-59) inches]. The measurements for the finished sweater can be found on the front page of the pattern. Please note that these measurements can only be achieved if the correct gauge is maintained throughout. Measure yourself before beginning your project, to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 90 cm [35½ inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 96 cm [37¾ inches] which in the given example would give you 6 cm [2¼ inches] of positive ease. Bust circumference: 89 (91) 96 (101) 106 (115) 125 (136) 143 (153) cm [35 (35¾) 37¾ (39¾) 41¾ (45¼) 49¼ (53½) 56¼ (60¼) inches]Length: 48 (52) 54 (56) 58 (59) 60 (63) 66 (70) cm [19 (20½) 21¼ (22) 22¾ (23¼) 23½ (24¾) 26 (27½) inches] (measured mid back excl. neck edge) Materials:175 (200) 200 (225) 250 (250) 275 (275) 300 (325) g Önling No 2, 100% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool, 25 g = app. 131 yards (120 meters). Gauge: 23 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm [US4] needles Needles Circular needles: 3.5 mm [US4] / 60, 80 and/or 100 cm [24, 32 and/or 40 inches] 3 mm [US2½] / 60, 80 and/or 100 cm [24, 32 and/or 40 inches]Double-pointed needles: 3.5 mm [US4] and 3 mm [US2½] (unless the Magic Loop technique is used) ProcedureThe Maggie Cardigan is worked from the top down. First, the back yoke is worked flat, back and forth, shaped with increases. Then each shoulder is worked separately, from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the top of the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up and knitted along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke and the body is worked back and forth on the circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a long circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. At the end, plackets are worked along the front edges and along the neck. Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Wash and block the swatch before taking any measurements. Please Note:The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.

This stole is worked in a manner similar to Orenburg gossamer. It starts at the lower left corner with the bottom teeth border. Then the stitches for the bottom frame are picked up along the straight selvedge of the bottom border, and both the frame and the field are worked with the side teeth borders. Finally, the top teeth border is knitted sideways onto the live stitches of the top frame, and then its remaining stitches are grafted to the left teeth border at the upper left corner. The pattern is charted in Orenburg style with colored yarnovers. Download consists of two parts: o-stole mio.pdf - written description with colored holes chart and regular lace charts of motifs used o-stole worksheet.pdf - enhanced colored holes chart with all decreases included Please note there are two files for each language. Danish version is here. Translated by Marianne Holmen, thank you! Morrígan, the great queen, is a goddess of Irish mythology. She is a godess of War and an omen of death, but also a symbol of fertility. Heading into an ominous time of year, this shawl should give you strength and gird you against the cold and dark. Indulge yourself in a truly luxurious knitting with the warmest and softest of cashmere yarns. This stunning triangular lace shawl uses basic lace stitches only. If you have knitted lace before, this one will be a breeze. Suitable for an adventurous beginner also, the charts are easy to read and to memorize. Chart only, no written instructions. The instant I saw this beautiful yarn by Julie Asselin I knew I had to design something with it. I love fall and I love rivers and I love how this yarn encompasses all the colors of the season not just the typical ones associated with fall. Since it is speckled it had to be a fairly simple design as far as stitch pattern so I added interest with the construction. The sweater begins very much like a garter stitch tab shawl. And then to compliment the design I went with a sweat shirtstyle that is loose and comfortable, perfect for wearing on your glorious fall walks! Gauge: 17 sts and 26 rows/rnds = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, with largest needles. Notes: This sweater is constructed from the top down in one piece with raglan shaping. It starts with very small saddles, similar to a Garter tab cast-on for shawls, except they are worked in Reverse Stockinette stitch. Stitches are picked up around the saddles, and the back neck stitches are cast on between the saddles. It is worked flat until the front stitches are cast on and then it is worked in the round. The sweater is designed with 6 - 10”/15 – 25 cm of positive ease; choose your size according the amount of ease desired. The sleeves are also are designed to be loose-fitting. The length of both the body and sleeves can be easily adjusted. The hemmed collar is knit to twice its length, then turned under and stitched in place.
If you purchase 5 patterns from my Ravelry Store at the same time (place them all in your cart before checking out), you will automatically receive the least expensive for free! The three-way collaboration on this elegant stole began when I saw Elena’s beautiful yarn. Although my first idea had been a shawl, I later came to the conclusion that something more streamlined would showcase the scrumptious yarn in a much better way without distracting from its hand-dyed beauty: A stole, to wear over a Little Black Dress to the theater or for an evening at a nice restaurant - nothing too ornamented, but rather understated and elegant. Inspired by an intricate stitch pattern I had spotted in a Polish knitting magazine, I then set out to develop the cabled design. When I showed it to Kam from Everyday Peacocks, to whom I had talked a while ago how nice it would be to have a pin designed especially for one of my accessories, she found it a neat idea and then came up with a unique pin to replicate the knitted leave motif from my stole. Isn’t her pin just wonderful? I think the three of them are a perfect match: yarn, stole and pin! Distinction was designed in collaboration with Colour Adventures and Everyday Peacocks.
