Hello! Rainbows just make everyone happy, so what better theme for a Happy Birthday card? I've gone a little overboard on the rainbows for an entire set of cards, all using the CAS-ual Fridays Shenanigans birthday sentiment. I lined up the rainbow of Catherine Pooler Inks, put the birthday stamp on my MISTI, and started stamping down the card. Based on how high the sentiment is, I moved the card down 9/16" before stamping the next color. When I got to the green "birthday" for this card, I left more of a space and indented so I would have room to stamp "happy." It was important for me to line up "happy" with the left edge of "birthday" so the left margin was consistent. It took me awhile to get the spacing right. The first cards I stamped on the left will most likely go to some of my sons' friends, who probably don't pay attention to the cards anyway (unless there's a gift card inside!) I happen to like this card with the yellow birthday highlighted, maybe because it separates the warm colors on top from the cool colors on the bottom. I was having so much fun with the rainbow look, I buckled up for a few more ... For these cards, instead of moving the card down 9/16" every time I switched colors, I moved the card down a smaller 5/16". The overlapping effect made more of a focus on the sentiment that was all by itself, with the "happy" stamped on the side. I started the rainbow in the middle, with yellow, for this card. This one is full-force rainbow, to the 100th power. The blurring effect runs completely down the card to the last purple color. Kinda like an exclamation mark with a long line and a point at the bottom. I think this card could be used for anyone ... child, teen, male, female, they would all work. I just really enjoy looking at this card : ) These cards are over at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today if you'd like additional information. Feel free to use my code "KELLY2017" which will save you 15% off any purchases at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Thanks for looking! -Kelly
Hello friends! Welcome to day 3 of release at CAS-ual Friday's Stamps and I am super excited about this one too. Today on the day 3, we are showcasing the one new stamp set "Mon Ami" and accompanying Fri-die "Mon Ami Fleur" you will love these for their fonts, and gorgeous flowers and leaves So here are my cards...I ended up creating two cards To make this card, I used patterned paper to stamp and die cut the flowers. I used a green patterned paper to stamp and fuzzy cut the leaves. On the card base, I adhered another patterned paper and laid it all to finish my card. To make the first card, I stamped the smaller flower on the card base to build a background. In the upper half, I added patterned paper. I stamped, colored and die cut the flowers and adhered it all together ti finish my card. There are some amazing cards created by the Design team to check out by clicking HERE and there is an awesome prize... one random winner drawn from one of the sneak peek days to win a $25 gift certificate to the store. All the stamps and dies will release on May 1st. Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment :)
Happy Saturday! Deepti has done it again. She has created not only a stunning card that will make your jaw drop, but she also has an easy to follow tutorial for you! Yay Deepti! Supplies used - Mon Ami Stamp set, Mon Ami Fleur and Shuffle Fri dies Gorgeous, right?! Here's how she did it... Step 1 - Stamp, color and die cut the flower stamp Step 2 - Cut out a window from the panel using shuffle Fri die Step 3 - Make a pencil guide line through this window on the card base Step 4 - Mask the edges with post it notes and ink creating a gradient from dark to light. Step 5 - Stamp the stems of the flowers Step 6 - Adhere the top panel on the card base adding some foam dots. Then add the flowers and some sequins to finish the card. I love how she tucked one flower under the panel and popped one on the outside. Super pretty!! Did you hear that Deepti has a brand new class that just opened at Craftsy?? If you love water color techniques, or wish you could be better at them, this one is for you! You can click on our Craftsy link on the sidebar to get more details :)

My card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays blog! The challenge is "Incorporate gold into your card" I made a card with this sweet set from this CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami Thanks!
Well, here we are, the 6th and final day of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps New Release!! Its been an amazing week seeing all your comments about these new products and for me, being blown away by my fellow 'Girl Fridays' use of the new stamps and dies. We have one more stamp set to share with you, Heart to Heart: I don't own many background stamps in my stamp collection, so was extremely happy when I saw this one. It will be perfect for so many occasions, especially Valentines Day!! For my card I really wanted to show off the patterns of the stamp and make it the star of the design: This is such a fab size for a card front and is fantastic for colouring too with all its different shapes and details. I white heat embossed the stamp on a piece of water colour CS. Since I don't have any daubers, I pinched the blending circle to make a point and added Distress Ink 'Barn Door' to the small hearts. Once they were a deep red, I blended 'Picked Raspberry' over the whole area. After fussy cutting around the edges I popped it on foam tape on the card front. The 'Friend Fri-die' was die-cut 3x from black CS, stuck together and then over the hearts. I then covered it with Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle. The rest of the sentiment (from Girlfriend) was stamped in black on a strip of white CS, fussy cut out and then adhered into place. I then glued on a few black half-pearls for a bit more detail, instead of sequins. If you've fallen in love with this stamp set or any of the new products and intend to have a shopping spree, don't forget to use my special code to save yourself 15%!! Thanks so much for joining us over the last six days. And if you pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog there's lots of inspiration from the other Girl Fridays and our Guest Designer Amy. I can't wait to see what you all purchased and what you make with them all. Will be keeping an eye out on Facebook, Instagram and the blogging world! Take care Shona
Hi everyone and I bet your ready for the weekend as much as I am!! I'm back today with my second 'Girl Friday' post for March and this one is a doozy, so grab a BIG cup of coffee, an EVEN BIGGER packet of chocolate biscuits and settle in for possibly something new...... I love die-cutting!! Stamps are fantastic but I love die-cutting so much and any way I can find to get the shapes and designs I want with my dies on a card, makes me very happy indeed. And I found one! Well, for me anyway....someone else has probably already come up with this and I'm usually a bit behind with my techniques so I'm sorry if you've seen this before.... I've always wanted to create a circle or pattern with my dies where the die-cuts are of an equal distance. My eye-sight is terrible so I could never eye-ball it and it frustrated me so much....until......I realised I could do this by using my Gina K. Design Wreath Builder Template and any stamp set with matching dies! This is what I did: Using the 4x4 inch template, I cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as the whole template. I used temporary tape to adhere the template on top of cardstock and put in my MISTI. Using a flower from the Mon-Ami stamp set I set it up to stamp in all four corners. I then used it again to stamp in the other four corners. This is what you end up with. You could use whatever colour or type of ink you liked as it depends on whether you want to use the die-cut flowers again or not. I removed the template and grabbed the matching Mon-Ami Fleur Fri-die and die-cut every flower. I now have a PERFECT circle/wreath of die-cut flowers!! Now you could simply colour the flowers you just die-cut and in-lay them back in but I went a bit further..... I trimmed the panel down so that it would sit on a 4.5x4.5 inch card base with room around it. I held it in place with some washi tape and stamped the flower in each die-cut hole. I was then able to add foam tape to the back of the die-cut panel and pop it up PERFECTLY over the stamped flowers. You won't believe how excited I was that this worked and I have MILLIONS of ideas of different cards to make with this technique. All I had to do then was die-cut a circle of white cardstock with one of the Ornament Tag Fri-dies (which turned out to fit perfectly in the middle of my wreath), stamp a sentiment from Frankly'isms and pop it up on foam tape. I glued on some sequins from Neat and Tangled and a clear jewel on each flower from Studio Katia. Ta-Da!! What do you think?? I really hope this has given you a different way to look at your stamp sets with matching dies. And if your thinking of purchasing any of the products I used today or any others from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps don't forget to use my special code to save yourself some money!! Whew, that was one long blog post and I hope your still hanging in there with me. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you back here again soon with some new card ideas. Take care Shona

Hello Crafty Friends!! Larissa here today to share an Encouragement Card!! I LOVE creating Cards like this, to send when I KNOW someone Special needs a Pick me up!! I Started by creating the Stenciled and Inked Background using the Tin Roof Stencil!! I Sprayed the back of my Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray!! If you've NEVER used this on your detailed Stencils, it's a game changer!! I then placed the Stencil over my Card Panel and Inked with some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using an Ink Blending Brush!! I then removed the Stencil and Inked over the entire Card Panel using the same Picked Raspberry Ink, just applying a lighter coat!! Next I Die Cut the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die from some coordinating Glitter Cardstock!! I layered it over the Stenciled Card Panel and adhered it with some iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive!! I only adhered the main lines and the center of the Flower so that I could POP up the Flower Ends for some FUN dimension!! Next I wanted to Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment from the This Sucks Stamp Set using some Versa Mark Ink and some WoW Embossing Black Puff Embossing Powder!! SWOON!! I think the Puffy Sentiment will bring a SMILE all on its own!!?? Seriously though, little details shouldn't be over looked when you're creating a Card to BRIGHTEN someones Day!! They not only make the sentiment POP, but they provoke sensory feelings that we ALL NEED when we're feeling down or stressed!! To finish off the Card I Stamped and Embossed the "well that didn't go as planned" ~Life Sentiment on the inside of the card and my Design was finished!! I also created a coordinating Envelope to go with the Card!! I'm trying to do more of this, so I have NO excuses when it comes to sending out the Cards that I create!! Sending MORE "Happy Mail" was one of my Goals this year and so far I'm off to a GREAT start!! Let's hope I can continue to Send Handmade Kindness through out the Year, and INSPIRE you to do the same!! Feel Free to use my special discount code LARISSASENTME, to save 15% off on all of the NEW, OLD and SALE goodies in the CFS Shop!! Beam me over to the Shop! THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! LARISSA 💖

Hi All - it's Vicki here today. I do find that I am drawn to flower images. A few years ago, they intimidated me [as far as coloring them]. Thankfully, with [lots of] practice I feel I can accomplish that now. Oh I am far from good [have you seen whats out here in internetland!!], but passable works for me :). I used the newly released, Flowery Background. I do love the current trend of NOT coloring but just stamping with this type of stamp. This is not intimidating. I stamped and colored [with Copics] the flower from Mon Ami, and then cut out the circle panel. Using a sentiment from the same set, I white embossed and banner cut it out. Yes, I do love flowers on my cards. :) I hope you enjoyed my card today. I enjoyed making it. If you are interested, you can save 15% off your purchase by using my code. I have used affiliate links in my post, what does this mean? She is having a girl. Thank you for asking.
It's Day 6 of the CAS-ual Fridays New Release Inspiration! Today we're showing off the new Just Breathe Fri-Dies. You can get all of the new products in the shop now! Here's how I was inspired: You don't know how excited I got when I saw this die set! A couple years ago I chose Breathe as my word and I searched high and low for a die... I found some stamp sets and I even bought a couple... but I really wanted a die... and when I saw this one, it was perfect! I decided I needed to do something special with this one... something for me that I could hang in my room and just stop and remind myself every once in a while. So I pulled out a mini canvas and pulled out some paints and gold texture paste and went to work! I started by painting my canvas with some metallic acrylic paint in a deep but bright blue. While it was still wet, I swiped in a little bit of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine... I was splattering it on something else and rather than just letting the extra run down the sink, I decided to use it here. While it was drying, I cut the Just Breath from some brushed gold foil cardstock and then 3 times from some turquoise cardstock to stack them. I wanted them to be really durable and like chipboard. Once the painted base was dry, I pulled out the new Starlequin Stencil and used it to apply some gold texture past to my canvas in both corners. While that was drying I pulled out some goodies... a nylon flower that I received in a package of goodies from Yvonne Yam some time ago... that wonderful old key that I received in a package of goodies from the oh so talented Mitralee... A flower I crocheted from some gold yarn with a button I picked up at a second hand store.. some paper flowers, gold bling gems, a whole bunch of my favorite things..I attached them all with some liquid glass. And then my favorite goodie of all... as good as these Just Breathe dies... Another treasure from my box of goodies from Mitra...this dangly jewel... I used the tails from the crocheted flower to tie it on and I left the tails on purpose because I like them! I'm going to enjoy seeing this in my room... now to decide where to hang it.... I'm playing along at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge which is Anything Goes this week! I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is Play With Paint! I'm also playing along at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday with Favorite Product or Technique. I have so many favorites on here, but one of my very favorite products is a great Word Die.. and my favorite technique with them is to cut multiples and stack them for a 3D look. And even better when I can attach them so they are suspended, like on this little canvas! Thank you for stopping today and I hop you enjoyed it! Be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog and see what everyone has created for you and find out how you could win some of the new products! Should you decide to shop, I have this for you: We've got one more day of inspiration for you tomorrow! Come back!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of CAS-ual Friday Stamps February release sneak peeks! Today we are spotlighting the set, Breathe. This set has 7 beautiful sentiments and 2 flourishes. My card uses some new paper from MME the Collectible "Notable" 6x6 pad as well as some wood veneer tiny stars. The roses and leaves are from Spellbinder's set, Bitty Blossoms (my go to set for roses!). It's pretty simple, I just wanted the gorgeous sentiment to shine on it's own. Once again, be sure to check out what my fellow Guestie Glenda has made and the Girl Fridays have more samples to share on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog (not to be confused with the CAS-ual Friday challenge which is a different blog). And as always, Michele will be giving away Breathe to one lucky commenter on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog, so head on over!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come by again tomorrow where we will peek the final February set, Only You! I'll leave you with a close up picture. Card Deets: Stamps - Breathe (CAS-ual Friday Stamps) Paper - white cardstock; Collectable "Notable" 6x6 pad (MME) Accessories - Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and Bitty Blossoms, Say it With Bling aqua rhinestones (Want2Scrap), Tiny Stars wood veneers (Studio Calico), White twill ribbon
Hi Folks! If you have any little girls in your life, you are going to love this new stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! It's a set of ballerinas ... with flower tutus!! Ack. Adorbs! This is one of the quickest cards to make, as you're only stamping this ballerina a couple times in different colors, and then the twirly sentiment below it. I added a few sequins to the tutu to pretty it up a little more. And that's it! I love them all lined up like this and overlapping. I used that same idea to create a whole troop of ballerinas in blues and greens (lighter images with second generation stamping) and then added the star of the show ... Ms. Pink Ballerina in the middle of her big ballet pose! The sentiment is from an existing set called Whole Shebang and fits quite nicely with these pretty ballerinas. Check out the rest of the Ink Squad to see more awesome projects with these stamps. All the stamps you see this week will be released on Friday, August 4th. And don't forget, the code KELLY2017 works on everything, including retiring items, sale items, and even these new release items. Thanks for looking! -Kelly
It is the final day of the CAS-ual Fridays May Release. For my final 2 cards, we are focusing on the [very unique] Sands of Time 2 and Hourglass Fri-Die. I just had to see how a shaker card would work with the Hourglass Fri-Die. So fun! For my 2nd card, I stamped the image on vellum using the "sand" image with white embossing powder. [All the new stamp sets and fri-dies are available for purchase!] Don't forget, you can save 15% off your purchase by using my code! I stamped the tiny leaf border on the paper along the bottom and the tag with one of the sentiments (love the fonts in this set). The papers are from Carta Bella and the adorable heart border is also from Spellbinders new On the Edge set (which is my favorite set from the last release). Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! I'll leave you with some close up pictures. Welcome back to Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps July New Release Sneak Peeks!!! Today we have two more stamp sets for you. First up is Patridge in a Pear Tree: This was one of my favourite songs to sing when I was a little kid, so really excited to see it as a stamp set!! I decided to use the stamp set a little differently for my card: When I first saw the stamp set I immediately realised that the pot the tree is planted in looks just like a present. So I stamped the pot on some white CS, coloured the ribbon with pencil, fussy cut and went round the edges with a black pen. I also stamped out the partridge and three pears, which were coloured with pencils and fussy cut as well. I added a strip of red CS to the card front first and then a circle of white CS using the larger circle die from 'Tag Ornaments Fri Dies' which was introduced yesterday. I was then able to pop the present, partridge and pears up on foam tape. All that was left to do was stamp the sentiment, add some sequins (from Neat and Tangled) and put lots of Glossy Accents on the present ribbon. The next stamp set we have for you is Starlequin: The patterns are gorgeous and would create a fantastic, festive background or side detail for your Christmas cards. I wanted to create a background straight away with the pattern on the right, could see it in my mind in black and white: This was pretty easy to line up (the joy of clear stamps) so I just stamped the image down the card front. I used the smaller circle die from 'Tags Ornaments Fri Dies' (told you I would use that one alot!!) to cut a hole in the front and then stamped the sentiment in red ink. The holly images were stamped on white CS, coloured with pencils and die-cut with their matching dies. These were simply glued to the card front and it was finished!! The sentiment and holly images/dies are a sneaky peek from the sets we are showing you tomorrow....shhh, don't tell Michele I showed you...... Apart from the Day 1 products (which are available now!!) the rest of the release is available to purchase on July 16th. We still have six more products to show you and if you need to race out on release day to do some shopping or buy the Day 1 goodies now, please use my special 'Girl Friday' code to save yourself a few dollars!! I hope your enjoying all this Christmas inspiration so far and if you pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog you will see even more incredible ideas from the rest of the Girl Fridays!! See you tomorrow for Day 4! Take care Shona
Hi everyone! Welcome to CAS-ual Friday Stamps February sneak peeks! I am thrilled to be guest designing and joining Michele, her team and fellow guest designer, Glenda this month. I really love Michele's designs and have been a fan since her first release last October. I also had the pleasure of meeting her at CHA and have to say, she is as nice as she is beautiful! Am I right?!? Here is a picture of Michele with me and Glenda at CHA Today we are peeking the set, Beanstalks. This is a set of 5 images and 4 sentiments and is my favorite set of the release! I know you will love it too! I stamped the sentiment and leaves flourish and colored them with a Copic marker. The fun, bright papers are from Fancy Pants, The Good Life 6x6 pad. I even busted out some oldie but goodie felt flowers from my stash. The pale green flower is actually white colored with the same Copic marker as the leaves. Be sure to check out what Glenda has made and the Girl Fridays have samples to share on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog (not to be confused with the CAS-ual Friday challenge which is a different blog). And as always, Michele will be giving away Beanstalks to one lucky commenter on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog, so head on over!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come by again tomorrow where we will peek the set, Breathe! I'll leave you with a close up picture. Hello and happy Friday! I'm Allison Cope and we're here to celebrate two amazing stamp companies! Today we're showcasing Catherine Pooler Designs and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! In honour of our amazing sponsors, we have come and combined the two companies products together on fun projects. I have made three cards to share with you today. Who doesn't love a cuppa something special to share with someone celebrating their special day?!?! I used the CP "Plaid Background" stamp in Grape Crush to ink up behind the fun "Birthday Die" from CFS. I added some stamped and stencilled confetti as well using the "Jacks Stencil"(CFS) and the "Punctuated Party" (CP) stamp set. My ink combination is: Grape Crush, Juniper Mist and All That Jazz. Who doesn't love a rainbow of happy wishes? I stamped the large greeting from the "Happy Birthday" (CFS) stamp set in yummy rainbow inks. Then I added all the fun confetti images from the "WooHoo" (CP) stamp set. My ink selection includes: Tiara, Tiki Torch, Party Dress, Pixie Dust, It's a Boy, Garden Party and Bellini. For my final card I wanted to include some of the fun cupcakes from the "I Eat Cake" (CP) stamp set. So I created my cupcake tier and then softly sponged my back ground using the fun "Jacks Stencil" (CFS) using Suede Shoes, Fiesta Blue, Flirty Fuchsia, Party Dress, Tiara and Sand Castle. And who can forget the hilarious sentiment from the "Happy Birthday" (CFS) stamp set? Too fun right!?! Make sure to check out all the amazing creations by our talented designers from both companies; Catherine Pooler Allison Cope -- you are here! Larrisa Heskett -- GO HERE NEXT! Nanette Tracy Vicki Dutcher Chrissie Tobas Shona Chambers Susan Powell Michelle Wallace Jen Carter Lisa Bzibziak Karen Baker Maria Russell CAS-ual Fridays Both of our sponsors today will be giving away a $30 gift card each to one random commenter. Winners will be announced on Tuesday Sept. 29th on their blogs; Catherine Pooler Designs Blog and CAS-ual Fridays Designs Blog. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, ~ Ally ~
Well if you didn't have a smile when you got here I sure hope that you have one now! It's Day 2 of the new CAS-ual Fridays Release. We're showing peeks at all the new stamp sets - one a day through Friday - March 16 when all the new products will be available in the store. The minute I saw this set it was love at first sight. I'm a HUGE Christopher Walken fan and I can't help but think of him in the Saturday Night Live Skit demanding more cowbell on the Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reeper" track. Not familiar with it? You can see it here ... That's right... I got a feeevah! LOL! And sometimes laughter is absolutely the best medicine. I cut the small cowbell die from the matching die set several times in shades of red, orange and yellow. I lined them up on a yellow card stock panel leaving room for a sentiment. The Cowbell stamp set includes lots of great sentiments sure to make you smile. I topped the colorful cowbells with the "MORE Cowbell!" die cut to complete the sentiment. You can see images of the full stamp and die sets below. Want to see more designs made with this fun set? Here's a list of designers with projects to share today!
