I am so happy with how this card turned out. I had played with the Brusho Crystal Colors a couple of days ago and today I pulled a piece and only stamped the fern over the colorful background. I had already textured it with our new Petal Pair embossing folder... the rest just fell into place... so today is the third part of making three totally different cards using the the Stampin Up stitched framelits to make three totally different cards. Check back on this blog for part one and two tutorials. So once you have die cut the largest circle from the stitched framelits you are left with the waste which makes a perfect mask. With so saffron and crushed curry and using the sponge daubers ink Up the sky using light circular motions building the colour slowly. Around the edge sponge some peekaboo peach to give dimension. With th sea area use marina mist and dapper denim in the same way building up the colour adding the darker colour at the edge of the mask to create dimension. Taking the High Tide stamp set and with the mask still in place stamp using dapper denim the sea. Take the mask away and continue to stamp the, wading birds, sun and seagulls building up the picture as you go. Add a sentiment of your choice from the set and then mount on smoky slate and put on your card base. So there you have it 3 totally different cards with the stitched framelits as the centre focal point. All products used are Stampin Up and can be purchased by clicking the shop button above. Come back tomorrow where I will be showing a short video of the finished cards. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day 💜

Played about a bit with some offcuts, a few pieces of linen textured card and some dies. Result was a batch of CAS cards which always go down well as ' buy and keep them 'cos you'll never know when I'll need one'! Sharing on this post two cards very similar and some inky fingers.... actually I managed to keep myself very clean for a change as normally once the inks are out I have a mad desire to go all grungy and start slapping paint and ink on canvas but the mojo wouldn't switch on to anything fussy and fancy for some unknown reason - perhaps it's pre holiday blues!! I like this blossom die a lot and have used it on several cards. This is the first time though that I tried shading properly with Distress Inks. I used Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Tumbled Glass and sponged across a piece of textured card. Cut out the die twice and cut out some small squares. Overlapped all the squares, and then put the dies on sticking them at the bottom only so they kind of 'waft about'! Added a teeny piece of hand dyed ragged seam binding tied into a knot and 3 pearls on the bottom square and then layered it all up onto the card with 3d foam pads. I left it sentiment free - might add one but can't make my mind up! Second card was made using up the left over bits from the first! Just cut out the die blossom from a piece of white card and then layered it onto the inked up left over before mounting it onto a white card . Simple sentiment inked in Chipped Sapphire and a couple more blue pearls! Challenges - Pixie's Playground - Snippets Sweet Stamping - Got the Blues Bloggers - To Die For 613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes Bunny Zoes - Something Blue Crazy 4 Challenges - Flowers & Pearls Will see if these get taken - quite enjoyed doing them so if they get re-housed by one of my ladies then I know that I can use all my bits up! Quite a nice day here so far - much cooler but dry and there's even some blue sky in between the large white clouds! Have a great day whatever you're doing and thanks for sticking with me to the bottom of this rambling post!! x

Hello my crafty friends! How about a quick sneak peek for my shows starting Saturday morning? We will be featuring my New York Collection and the Gemini dies. They have also brought back the Finishing Touches and the Dainty Frames in case you missed them two weeks ago. Today's card was started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with a new embossing folder called Braided Vines to give the background some texture. Next I cut the Lyra Gemini die in silver card using all three pieces. I cut a backing in white using just the two cutting edges. I mounted it with foam to raise it for dimension and added it to the bottom of my embossed background. A piece of silver card was then placed so it peeked out from underneath. The focal element was created using the Herald Square die from the New York Collection. I cut the largest die in the set out of silver card for a square. I used the next largest die for a decorative white die cut, then glued the two together and cut them into a frame by using the smaller square die in the set. I added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension. I made a two tone Camellia flower using both the Complete and Open Petal styles of the Camellia die sets. I stamped my sentiment (Bold Sentiments by Creative Expressions) and cut it into a strip and added my flower to the end surrounded by Mosaic Leaves cut in white. I tucked in a bit of metallic silver cording from my stash to top off the floral element. The card was then finished with a white pierced mat, a thin silver card mat and a final white mat in my usual style. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 3/4" in size. John Lockwood has shows on C & C today at 10am and 4pm with some great MDF products as well as other items (including a few of my dies!). Don't forget to tune in! Just a quick reminder, my shows are scheduled for 9am, 12 noon and 6pm on Saturday and 11am, 2pm and 7pm on Sunday. I am particularly excited to be doing this set of shows as I have something new to share that I have been working on for absolutely forever! It is finally available here and over the past few years, I have answered a lot of emails asking where to find this item. While you can't see this new item on this card, it has made an appearance on the blog within the past two weeks (how is that for a tease!!) and is likely to show up even more often now!! All for now, Sue x Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello and welcome! The card I have for you today is for two challenges: I chose the middle horizontal row of the grid - splatters, any sentiment, circle - and as luck would have it, items from my favourite-of-the-moment Curators Meadow collection use exactly the right colours of turquoise, yellow, brown and green. Here's my card: I added touches of the challenge colours on my background too but muted them with gesso to allow the circles to stand out. Materials used: stamps - Create Happiness - Elements (Stamperia) card - watercolour, Curators Meadow (49andMarket), crumb cake (SU) distress sprays - antique linen, uncharted mariner, vintage photo distress archival inks - vintage photo, ground espresso circle punches - 38mm, 32mm, 1", 3/4", 1/2" other - water spritzer, white gesso, paintbrushes, white calligraphy ink, Dimensionals, Curators Meadow rub-ons (49aM), craft foam, sponge dauber, Small Talk stickers (Tim Holtz) Thanks for calling in. Cheers Kerry Edited to add: My card was picked as the Designer's Choice for the Tic Tac Toe challenge. Thanks so much to the design team for this honour!
Hi everyone! It's time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Are you ready to play? As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on February 16, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. I've recently started making ATC Coins, which are Artist Trading Cards that are 2.5" circles, so I knew I wanted to create a sketch with a 2.5" circle. So I picked out some papers from my scrap pile that went with the ATC coin I had already finished and set about creating a layout. The ATC Coin background was done with distress paints, stencils and the Texture Tiles 1 set Next I stamped images from the adorable new Springtime set that just released from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I colored the boots and flowers image with Copics then hand trimmed, doing the same for the butterfly image. A sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti set is tucked in and I then added the finished coin to a large scalloped circle and sponged the edges with wild honey and spiced marmalade distress oxides. I sponged a few of my layers with black soot, and the yellow one with wild honey and spiced marmalade. I thought it needed just a bit more, so chose the polka dot background from Texture Tiles 5 to stamp over the yellow patterned paper in wild honey. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Can't wait to see what you create! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Click here to enter Thanks for stopping much for by! Hi friends! Can you believe it's already time for a new Mojo Monday sketch? Time is flying! As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on November 1, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. Today's card is a rare no-stamping card for me. I can't remember the last time I made a card without at least some stamping. But this was an early morning creation where I was trying to be super quiet and not wake the boys, so I just pulled out a paper pad and the coordinating ephemera and got to layering. The Prima Pumpkin and Spice collection was a don't even think about it, just add to cart purchase for me. I love fall, I love Prima, and I love shabby chic. But since most of my design teams moved into Christmas in September, this poor paper pad has just been sitting on the shelf unused! Determined to use it, I picked a few papers, cut them to size, matted with white cardstock and then distressed the edges. I then chose some of the coordinating ephemera pieces to layer behind the focal panel, distressing the edges a bit as well and adding a few stickles accents. Then It was just a matter of gluing it all together, adding a seam binding bow and voila... a no stamping card is born. Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see what you create!
