Woodshop Lesson Plans / Carpentry Lesson Plans - Perfect for teacher or sub use, Woodworking Tools of the Trade Trivia Game is one of many carpentry and woodshop lesson plan class ideas that promote knowledge recollection, collaboration, and leadership skills. The PowerPoint-based game contains directions for game play and 15 questions (which is actually 14 questions, plus each student gets to design and present their own (communication and leadership skills) question to their classmates. The actual number of questions per game will be 14 + the number of students in class that day. Round one consists of a base question and bonus question being asked. Once the questions are finished, the slideshow is started again and answers, for each question, are shared in class. Points get tallied and tie-breaking questions appear. Questions are designed to test the student's knowledge of one or more of these areas: a product category, the most appropriate tool for a job, use critical thinking skills on how they would solve a task, and apply that knowledge to solve tasks given (Example, how would you repair a wooden picture frame with side separation?). Since there is more than one way to solve this; questions encourage students to think critically. There is a total of 21 slides consisting of game play directions and game questions. * *Note, there is no answer key because there can be multiple answers per question. The goal is to have students collaborate and figure out all possible ways the question can be answered. ** ________________________________________________________________________________________ Terms of Use: Please note, this lesson plan is for personal classroom use by an individual teacher.
