Christmas Cheer and Magical Moments. Blending on coloured card stock with clear embossing definitely magic.
LOVE this new set in the brand new catalogue - its called "Bloom with Hope" and its a new Hostess set. I am looking forward to using it for lots of different techniques as its the kids of set that will work well. I can see it embossed, watercoloured, simply stamped, masked.. in fact it is very versatile. So as a demonstrator I had an opportunity to get it early (it was free for me.. yippee!) and have a play. Today I did something simple but subtle with it. I stamped it in Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake card stock, masking some of the stamps as I stamped more over the top. Then I used a blender pen with some Whisper White Craft Ink to lightly fill in some of the petals, and added a little Pear Pizzaz ink to some of the leaves. The sentiment is from the same set. I love that this is simple but so effective! Have you booked into my launch events next weekend yet? I now am full for the Sunday afternoon event, but still have spaces at the Saturday evening event (5th July) so please click HERE to email me and book your spot. Its only $15 to attend and you will go home with 3 completed projects and of course a new catalogue. There will be prizes for everyone, and supper too. Its a great night! So I hope to see you there.. or at a class or workshop soon! Here's another shot of today's card for you:

Hoe je dat doet? Men neme de “Cross-stitched Christmas” stempelset, de Stamparatus, een voorgesneden velletje whisper white (bijvoorbeeld 8×10.5cm) en vijf kleuren inkt naar keuze.…
Trying to get over the Christmas period and regain my mojo! Decided to take the Stampin' Up set Wetlands out for a spin to see what I could use it for. This first one used a leftover background piece I made when I was playing around with the acrylic block technique from a previous post. The technique involved using Stampin' Up markers on the block and spritzing this with water a few times to give a watercolour effect I stamped the birds in Black Stazon ink. I mounted it on white card and then onto Sahara Sand. This one was done by masking off each area and using sponges to grade the colours. I think I used Sky Blue, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede This was so simple. I stamped two images, re-inking each time. The second time I stamped off to give the impression of the duck being further way. I used an Old Olive marker to ink up the reeds and Elegant Eggplant for the tops. The pattern at the side is the Delicate Designs embossing folder. This one is a single layer card. Early Expresso ink was used for the duck. I then stamped the Olive Green reeds. I was able to make it look like the reeds were behind the duck by cutting around the duck image on a scrap piece of paper and then laying this over the image before stamping the reeds over the duck. I cased the idea for this card from crafting large.blogspot.de. I just love the simplicity of this card especially the Whisper White cardstock on the Naturals White card base. Some old Designer paper makes a nice background for this card. The card base is Early Expresso. I rounded the corners which gives it a different look I embossed the reeds onto Pear Pizzaz and then mounted this onto Whisper White card. The card base is Crumb Cake. The Early Expresso mat is embossed with the Moasiac folder. The card base again is Crumb Cake. I was inspired by Lisa Young's design on http://addinkandstamp.blogspot.com.au/search?q=Wetlands I didn't have the designer paper she used so instead I masked 3 sections of a piece of white card and brayered Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Early Expresso. Stazon ink was used to stamp the design Then I used a Stampin' Up circle die with the Bigshot to cut the circle. It was mounted with dimensionals on Naturals White which in turn was mounted on a card base of the same colour. I think this is a great, versatile stamp set which is useful for masculine cards in particular. Happy stamping!
All of a sudden there are lots of my friends having birthdays, and I'm so excited that I just got the new Special Reason Bundle!! It's fresh and lacy ~ just what I need for birthday cards! The stamps give real texture and dimension to the tamped images. They are very detailed, and so pretty! And, look at the beautiful die-cut flower and leaves!! The dies in this Stylish Stems set are made to cut positive images, like these, and also negative images. Below is a photo from Stampin' Up! showing the negative image. The sentiments in this set are sweet

Hi! Hello, and welcome to Pear Pizzazz week of the Colour Creations blog hops. Pear Pizzazz is in the Subtle Family collection and is a bit of a so-so green. I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either. I decided to pull out my Plentiful Plants bundle to play with, and to use some of the plant stamps that hadn't seen ink yet. I paired it with Sweet Strawberry for the sentiments and the Stitched Greenery Die for the background. I don't know what this plant is called in real life, but in my head it's become the Brian May plant. It reminds me so much of his hair, and that's all I can see now! I actually created the inside of the card before I'd finished the front. In hindsight, I wish I'd stamped the Brian May plant again on the Whisper White base, as I did on the front, to extend the height of the plant. Next time! Speaking of next, the next stop in our Blog Hop belongs to Michele Taylor. Jump on over to her blog to see what is sure to be a fabulous card. And don't forget that Cathy Proctor is here to save the day if you run into any problems. She's got a list of all participants in case of an emergency 😉 Bye for now, Tina
