To a Wild Rose stamp set was inspired by Million Dollar Sales Achiever Mary Ellen Byler. This is a beautiful DistINKtive Two Step Photopolymer stamp set. I love the DistINKtive style, Two Step stamping, AND photopolymer, three of my favorites! The coordinating Wild Rose dies include the flower and leaf framelits, a sentiment frame, and the flower strip on the left side of my cards. I love both the Balmy Blue and Whisper White card bases. To A Wild Rose is a fabulous new stamp set that involves two-step stamping. However, it also works great with a variety of different coloring techniques.

Today's elegant card design was made with the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set, a new item in the Stampin' Up! 2019 - 2020 Annual Catalog. A DIY stamp pad was used.
I love flowers! I just wish my husband would bring me some every week - ok I would settle for once a month - lol. This card was one of the cards that I created for my Extravaganza that I held last month. It is a two step stamp which means you stamp the outer image first and then the inner image. I have used Memento ink for the outline and Seaside Spray (new 2019 - 2020 in color) for the inside. Lining up the stamps took a bit of time, but once I found the right placement I marked the stamps so that going forward, I knew exactly how to line them up. This card also features the "masking" technique where you cover the main image and then stamp the other images. It gives the appearance of one image being behind the other. I also stamped the greeting that comes with the set in white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I love how it pops on black card stock. I hope you enjoy this card and all the items can be purchased on my online store. Purchase $60 net from my store during Bonus Days in July and you will receive a $6 coupon that you can used towards any order in the month of August 2019!
Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend is going well. I will admit I am bit sad since we were supposed to be on vacation right now in New Orleans for French Quarter Fest. The organizers announced they were postponing to early October, but now that is in jeopardy which I totally get. I am trying to bring a little bit of New Orleans to my life by streaming the local radio station WWOZ. They are having a #StayHome French Quarter Fest broadcast. My card today features the To A Wild Rose stamp set for a so long to the retiring in-color Blueberry Bushel. I am playing along with the CASEing Tuesday Facebook group. I used to play along every week, but have fallen off getting my cards posted each week. I absolutely love how they post the measurements. Will you play along? Here is a closer look at the stamp set: Measurements: Gray Granite card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼ Blueberry Bushel cardstock – 3 ¾” x 5” Whisper White cardstock – 3” x 4 1/8” for stamping, then cut into three strips 1 3/8” x 3” Whisper White cardstock – ¾” x 2” In other stamping news the Clearance Rack on my Online Store was updated this week so run over there to check it out! There are embellishments as low as $2.00! I am offering make and take packets for orders in my Online Store with host code CCKYNJQY this month. If you spend over $25 you will receive three birthday projects featuring the Birthday Bonanza DSP and if you spend over $50 you will receive four thank you projects featuring my Ornate Garden card class. The To a Wild Rose stamp set is a Three Step Stamping Set in the New 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! Make sure to check out Jill Olsen on StampingJill.com...
Welcome fellow stampers to our weekly hop. Today we have a color challenge. You would think it would have been extremely easy for me, but it wasn't. First of all, I made my card with Gray Granite. Whoops! However, I persevered and made another with Smoky Slate and this is what I came up with... Thank you Jackie Bolhuis for your inspiration! As you can see, the color of my choice is Seaside Spray. Card cuts and supplies are listed after my team mates' links to their projects. I do hope you have time to hop with us. I adhered a mat of Smoky Slate to my Seaside Spray card base. I cut a piece of 2019-2021 In Color DSP and adhered it to a Whisper White mat. I put glue dots on the ends of the Seaside Spray Metallic and adhered the ends to the back of the mat. Then I stamped the leaves from the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set in Smoky Slate to the right of the ribbon. Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the rose from that set in Seaside Spray and the outline in Smoky Slate on a scrap of Whisper White. This is a three step stamp and you have to have the stamps lined up just so. With that being successful, I cut out the rose with the matching die from the Wild Rose Dies set. I adhered that to the card front with Dimensionals. Because I used a die, I am entering my card in The Flower Challenge #39. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and it's stamped in Seaside Spray ink. I adhered three different sized Seaside Spray Faceted Dots. Then the art panel was adhered to the Smoky Slate mat. For the inside, I kept it plain and simple using stamps from To A Wild Rose. I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. I used the Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose stamp set bundle to create my card to share with you today.
I'm knee deep in preparing for about 8 different things that I've got going on so there hasn't been much stamping time so I'm digging into the archives for today's card! I made this one as one of my samples back in June for my new catalog party. Neutral with a pop of color are always a fun theme to explore in stamping. So many great colors to choose from not to mention deciding on which stamp to highlight. The To A Wild Rose stamp set has that great big blossom that can be colored in so many ways. Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Pineapple Punch are a great color trio. The card base is Basic Gray, then a layer of Whisper White stamped with the rose outline image in Basic Gray ink. A thin strip of Basic Gray cardstock embossed with the Subtle embossing folder goes down on side of the card front. A bit of retired Smoky Slate ribbon brings the eye down to the bold rose stamped in Basic Gray and partially filled in with Pineapple Punch ink. It's cut out and popped with dimensionals. The 'Hello' sentiment is embossed in white onto Smoky Slate and then cut out with the Stitched Shapes oval. I added a retired white enamel dot to the side. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: To A Wild Rose Ink: Basic Gray, Pineapple Punch, Versamark Paper: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Smoky Slate Accessories: Subtle embossing folder, Wild Rose dies, white embossing powder, dimensionals, Smoky Slate ribbon (retired), white enamel dot (retired)
What inspired me on this card is I had a bunch of the Highland Heather die cuts left over from another project and wanted to use them up. So I made this card and will be using it at my event on the 21st because I have so many of them. This is made using the To A Wild Rose Bundle. The die set with this bundle has some great different dies. There are the dies to cut out the flowers, a flower and leaf die, lust a couple of cool shapes. I have used one of them down the side of this card with Purple Posy cardstock. This is one of the In Colors for this year. I have stamped the flower in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then stamped it with Purple Posy and Highland Heather Ink. this is a Distinkive stamp set is also two step stamping. This is a fun set to stamp with. I have made three cards with this set and will be showing the other two very soon. If you would like to order this set and any other great products you can check them out at my online store here. Remember there are only a couple of weeks left of Sale A Bration, so you can get free products until the end of this month. They are while supplies last. The Golden Honey Designers Series Papers are sold out already. Also due to the Corona Virus some things are taking a little longer to produce and ship than others. Happy Stamping! Stamper Gyrl!

Day 6 of a four week lockdown passed quite slowly today, despite the gorgeous autumn weather. I had a hankering to do some water colouring. For inspiration, I turned to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge at The Paper Players. I've played the right-hand column: Patterned paper, birthday and flowers. I've also used pink and die cut. To a Wild Rose is a great set because you can use just the outlines, as I have here, to colour as desired or you can use the rest of the three-step stamps to build up the colour through stamping alone. I've gold embossed the outline and used ink and aqua painter to colour the flowers and leaves. The DSP is from the Sale-abation set, Golden Honey, which retired yesterday. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. This post originally appeared on the Stampin' Up! Facebook Page in the Notes section on 20th December, 2019. You can see the original post here. Hello there, stamping friends. Rochelle Blok from Melbourne, Australia, here. I have the pleasure of sharing the last projects with you from the 2019 Artisan Design Team. Today I'm sharing one of my all-time, most favorite coloring techniques: “no line” watercoloring. If you follow me on my blog/Facebook or Instagram, you'll know that I just love anything to do with coloring, and today’s technique is no exception. The “no line” watercoloring technique is still fairly new to me, but with more practice and time I'll be able to master this technique a whole lot more. All my cards today use the To a Wild Rose Stamp Set (item 149452), Wild Rose Dies (item 149547), Sahara Sand ink (item 147117), Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (item 149612), Shimmery White Cardstock (item 101910), Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item 133676), Basic Black Cardstock (item 121045), Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim (item 149593), Silver Metallic Thread (item 138402), White Stampin' Emboss Powder (item 109132), Aqua Painters (item 103954), and Rhinestone Basic Jewels (item 144220). To begin, ink your image with Sahara Sand ink, then stamp off once before stamping the image you want to color. This will leave a faint outline of your stamped image. To color the image, put a drop of ink in the lid of the ink pad, mix in a drop or two of water, then pick up the color from the lid using an Aqua Painter. If you mix a tiny amount of ink with water on the Aqua Painter brush and then wash out the color, you’ll end up with a lighter variation of the ink. Though this process takes a little time, the results definitely give you that “WOW” look. After stamping, there will still be lines where you colored the image, but they will be light. And once you color the image with your chosen ink color, the light outline of the image will practically disappear, giving you the “no line” watercolor look. When I colored each rose, I started with the center petals and colored every second one. I waited until they were all dry, then moved on to coloring the rest of the petals. If you try to color all the petals at once—all right next to each other—the petals will bleed into each other and you may end up with a “hot mess.” Trust me, I know! Ha! For my first card, I used Blackberry Bliss ink (item 147092) to color the roses. When watercoloring I use the “wet on wet” coloring technique. This is where you go over the portion of the image that you are want to color with water first, then go over the water with your desired color. The water helps to pull and move the ink around, making it easier to color your image. I sponged some Pool Party ink (item ) on the Shimmery White Cardstock base layer, added some leaves, ribbon, and trim to accent the roses, then finished the card off with an embossed sentiment and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels. For my second card, I used Gorgeous Grape ink (item 147099) on the rose, then used the “trellis” die cut as an accent base layer. I die cut a frame using the Stitched Rectangle Dies (item 148551) and then adhered it to the die-cut shapes frame for a fun background look. I then adhered it to the card base layers. How beautiful is the contrast of the bold, dark colors against the white card base. Love it! For my last card, I went with a softer look using Highland Heather Ink (item 147103) to color the rose. The lighter purple really gives the project a softer look against the Shimmery White, but it still gives you a “WOW” look. I used the inner piece of cardstock left over from cutting the frame in the second card and embossed it with the beautiful and very versatile Scripty 3D Embossing Folder (item 149634). I've added some layers of Scalloped Lace Trim and Silver Metallic Thread over the base cardstock layers and then finished the card off with the beautiful Mossy Meadow leaves, heat-embossed sentiment, and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels. While this technique looks fabulous, you will need to take your time to practice. Practice makes perfect, right? Practicing this technique is the perfect way to de-stress and unwind. Why not try it with other colors and see what you end up with? I hope I have inspired you with this technique and that you’ll give it a try, too! Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Don't you just love the new Stampin' Up! designer series papers?! There are so many beautiful ones. The Mosaic Mood dsp makes it so easy to create a card! I made two different cards for class so everyone could have an option to choose from. I simply fussy cut the roses and the hummingbirds from the paper. We stamped a sentiment on this beautifully shaped die from To a Wild Rose and then added the Mosaic element. It was so easy! I love the colors in it. I used So Saffron as a base and added the strip of Mint Macaron. I added texture to one with the basket embossing folder. You could use just about any of them. The Mosaic Tile folder would look even better! (note to self: order that next). I finished off the rose card with the metallic pearls, another favorite of mine! Let me know which is your favorite! *edited to add a Mint Macaron version below. I needed several healing hugs type cards this week! Shop here: Not used, but it would look great!
