Hello Friends, Today's card was inspired by our recent visit to Georgia to see family. Our grandsons were learning about not giving up and growing their brain by trying new things. The highlight of th
Whoop! Whoop! The new catalog is now live and there are SO many great new stamps sets and accessories. One you may have seen is a sneak peak set we got at On Stage in April. It is "This Little Piggy" and it is adorable. I can't say I'm into pigs but Charlotte's Web is my favorite children's story and so, when I saw this, it reminded me so much of Wilbur. I will be making some cards with that theme in the future. For now, here is the card I created for our team's Virtual Swap, which was to create anything using a new product. I'm showing the outside and inside. Stamping this little piggy works best if stamped with Black Archival Ink onto Watercolor Paper. That way you can use your blender pen to color him in. On the inside I, obviously, didn't have watercolor paper, but it still seemed to work pretty well. To get the spots, I just dipped my Blender Pen into the lid of the Sahara Sand Ink Pad and made random splotches. And don't forget those really cute Enamel Dots, which are back again! Come back next week to see posts using the new Crate Die and matching stamp set. I am demoing at stamp fest so I have several samples. Have a great weekend.
Hello and Welcome. Yep! It's Stamp Review Crew time. We are hopping with a super fun and super cute set. This Little Piggy. So fun! If you are joining us for the first time we are a group of International Stampin' Up! demonstrators that show one Stampin' Up! stamp set at a time, every first and third Monday's of the month. Be sure to make your way around the hop by clicking the next button at the bottom of each post. If you get lost along the way click on the banner at the top of each post and that will lead you to the list of hoppers so you can continue seeing all the fabulous creations. Now on to the fun part, the cards! I had to use some pink for today's card. Pigs are pink right? So I've gone with using one of the new 2017-2019 In Colours, Powder Pink. So pretty and so pink. Perfect to go with the This Little Piggy Stamp Set. My card is pretty straight forward today. Little bit of colouring, little it of stamping and few embellishments. Sometimes that's all you need for a fun card. I started with the stamping of the pig. I first stamped it in Versamark Ink and then inked it up with Memento Black ink so that I could emboss the image with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. I find that when I'm colouring an image I like to Clear Emboss the outline. You don't have to be so careful when colouring if the outline is embossed and the ink doesn't bleed outside the lines when water colouring. I just started with a light wash of colour when colouring the image and then gradually added more colour to the areas that I wanted to be darker. To colour the pig I just squeezed the Powder Pink Ink Pad so that there was some colour in the top of the lid and then picked up the colour off that using and aqua painter. Love that the ink pads are designed like that. Less mess. Once the cute little piggy was coloured I fussy cut it out and then added all the other elements to the card. The 'This Little Piggy' words were part of the pig image so to stamp the words with out the pig I masked off the image above the words with Washi Tape, inked up the words, removed the tape and then I could stamp the words down without the outline of the pig as well. On the inside you could then stamp any one of the other sentiments like 'Loves You' or 'Says Thanks' to finish off the card. Now on to the fabulous Ann Schach for some more cuteness and fun. Hi there! A few weeks ago, I shared this card I created featuring the adorable dragon for the new “Celebrating You” stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp. I think I mentioned in that post that I had another card coming using that same set. Well, this is it! This little piggy is so adorable. I smile just looking at his happy face and his big belly. There’s some serious cuteness here – and with the whole stamp set! To make this card, I colored the pig and balloon with my Ohuhu markers (listed below), then mounted them on a die-cut opening that I turned into a shaker. I think this card is just so festive and I hope it inspires you to create something fun. The Ohuhu colors used: R1, 2, 19, 200, 120, and YR070 Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

We have just heard some fantastic news! Stampin' Up! is opening up within Ireland and Belgium later this year! That's incredible. Hooray!!! That means any of you in Ireland and Belgium can start looking and downloading the catalogue from Stampin' Up! NOW! We will be informed of the dates in the coming months but anyone who is interested in buying the beautiful products or hopefully even joining this amazing company, the time is getting much closer.. Oh! I'm really excited this is at last happening and hope that you are too! Now changing the subject.... today's card is one that I haven't made for a while but I enjoyed making it anyway so using This Birthday Piggy stamp set, I started by stamping the pig on the motor scooter and then had great fun colouring it in with my stampin' blends pens. I don't know what it is about colouring pictures but I find it so very relaxing. I guess that it takes me back to being a little girl at home with my brother and sisters, just enjoying the family fun. Once it was coloured I took the Stylish Shapes Dies which have the stitched edges and cut out the image. I have used Soft Sea Foam for the card today and adhered a mat of the lovely silver, spotted paper that will be available during Saleabration which starts in only a few days. I then took the slightly larger die and cut the circle from the centre-front of the card base. I added the coloured image to the green circle and using Dimensionals, placed it through the front of the card and adhered it to the inside. Adding a few sentiments, flowers and butterflies completed this card.

One of the most sought-after sets from the upcoming 2017 Annual Catalog is This Little Piggy. I still remember the way the crowd 'aaaah'd' at OnStage in April - it told me that this set was going to be huge (as if I hadn't already decided that for myself when

Thursday 13 July 2017 Where do the weeks go? It's the first week of the School Holidays here in Christchurch and the weather has been very wet and cold, and it even snowed yesterday - perfect crafting weather! This week the challenge at the Global Design Project is a theme - Kids. As I had a few classes for little girls I had ordered the "This Little Piggy" set. Each little girl made a card and bookmark to take home - they loved it! So it seemed the perfect set to use for this challenge. My little piggy was stamped on the Shimmery White cardstock and water coloured using my Aqua Painter and the Blushing Bride ink. Then fussy cut and adhered to a Very Vanilla Stitched Shapes Framelit circle using dimensionals. The Soft Sky and Very Vanilla background DSP is from the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped the "Happy Day" in Soft Sky. It is from the "Happiest of Days" stamp set. As I didn't have room for the whole sentiment I covered the "oh" in washi tape, stamped it on the ink pad, took off the piece of washi and stamped it on the cardstock! You must remember to take off the washi tape before you stamp it! If you are looking for inspiration on cards for kids make sure you pop over to the Global Design Project and check out all the fabulous projects from everyone. Take care.

Well, it's Friday already and I hope that you've managed to get some ideas to make your own cards too. Today's card using the This Birthday Piggy stamp set, I have made a real fun fold card, sadly though I have no name for it! If anyone does know the name I will be very grateful to know too. I started by cutting a piece of Blackberry Bliss A4 card to 14.85cm by 23cm and scored along the long edge at 14.85cm. That will be then giving you a square card. I then took another piece of card 14cm by 10cm and scored at 12cm and adhered Tear 'n tape to the back of the 2 cm strip. I lined it up along the right hand side of the 14.85cm squared card and centred it along the edge of the card. Now for the left hand side on the card. Using my trimmer, I cut a slot 3cm in from the edge starting at 2cm up from the lower edge and 2cm from the top edge. I then moved the trimmer across 3mm to the left and repeated the slot. Then I cut the small strip out to expose the postal flap for the piece of card on the right to slide into. I used a piece of vellum from the Layering Designs 12" by 12" printed vellum papers. I then cut another strip of Blackberry Bliss card 1.5cm by 12.5cm and cut a larger slot through it to finish off the edge of the slot on the card. I used a white mat 14.4cm by 14.4cm for the inside of the card and another piece of Blackberry Bliss 10.5cm by 10.5cm and white mat 10cm by 10cm. I stamped and coloured the image of the birthday cake and piggy using Stampin' Blends pens then embossed it using the Timeworn Type Embossing folder before adding it to the Blackberry Bliss mat. I then stamped the sleeping piggy onto a white mat 11cm by 9.5cm. This too was coloured in using Stampin' Blends pens before adding to the inside flap on the right. I stamped the piggy on the scooter and cut it to 7.5cm by 6cm and added it to an 8cm by 6.5cm mat in Blackberry Bliss card. I die cut a piece of white card using the Potted Succulents large die then using the Stampin' Blends, I coloured in some of the individual flowers. I added Tombow multipurpose adhesive and added it to the front of the right hand panel on the card, cutting the excess off after it was dry. Using Dimensionals, I added the images and sentiments to the front and insides of the card. I stamped a few of the balloons and coloured and fussy cut them and added them to the left hand panel. That's it from me for this week once again, thank you for stopping by and having a look, we really do appreciate you all. Cary will return on Monday with some more of her amazing creations so until then, please stay safe, take care and as always, KEEP ON CRAFTING. 😍 Gill xxx 😍

I am so in love with these piggies. The set is called 'This Little Piggy' and it personally came out just at the right time. My Sister in Law loves pigs. So, yes. This is her card. But Shhh! I made a little fence with the Hardwood background stamp set and made it into a Double Z-Fold card which made for a perfect little pig farm. The front pig is traditionally holding a flower but I switched it out for a balloon to make it more birthday-ish. Click below to order
Welcome to Monday Morning Makeover Madness. Once again I have used the Give it a Whirl dies to CASE a card I made with the Way to Goat Stamp Set. Today I have used the retired This Little Piggy Stamp Set. My colors are inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink #565. This is the 4th time I have used the Give it a Whirl Dies for a card. Fair warning: it won't be the last...lol! I made this for the daughter of one of my team mates. The daughter loves piggies as much as I do. I used the wood grain pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. Today is the last day to catch the sale on it. The colors on my iPhone capture leave a lot to be desired but I don't want a camera AND I am not tech savvy! So it is what it is. My Polished Pink Stampin' Blends don't seem to be the right hue (could be they are drying out?) but my Polished Pink Stampin' Write Marker is just fine. My Light and Dark Pale Papaya Blends seemed to have worked great, although my coloring/shading leaves a little to be desired! The recipient won't care, I'm sure!! I punched the bottom piggy out with the Label Me Lovely Punch and sponged the edges with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. to make it look elevated as I did not want to add more Dimensionals. It also looks a little muddy, but that's what piggies are all about! For review, let me show you the cards I have made so far with the Give it a Whirl Dies. For the next Give it a Whirl, I'll use a different shape for the opening...maybe a circle or a heart instead of the fan. I could also do a rectangle. Peeps, you need these dies and tomorrow is the perfect time to order them. The new mini catalog will be available AND it's our second Sale-A-Bration promotion. Want to know more? Just let me know in a comment. I'm also entering my card in these challenges: Crafting Happiness Challenge #107 Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2131 Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August 2021 Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends #163 Thank you for stopping by today. “For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.
