October 15, 2020 The AUGUST 2016 – BOLD BOTANICALS kit was an interesting mix of the feminine and masculine. The paper elements were decidedly masculine: bold swaths of strong color in Cajun Craze…
My August 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived in the mail! I admittedly found myself feeling a wee bit jealous when my mom called me yesterday to say her kit arrived. She was kind enough to give me a sneak peek at the entire kit contents! This month's kit is called Bold Botanicals and features two cute cards and one gift card holder or mini card. Look at all of the supplies that come with this month's kit! The wooden leaves and flowers are really sweet. I like the Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron printed paper too. The little note cards with the ruled lines are darling! I have some ideas for the corner flower stamp! The ideas are coming! Stay tuned for alternative project ideas. The colors are Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron, Tangerine Tango, and Tip Top Taupe. I love this color combination! It reminds me of leaves turning to oranges and browns against an early fall sky. Our next Paper Pumpkin Kit Club is Saturday, August 27th from 1pm to 4pm. We will assemble and create alternative projects using the kit's supplies as well as additional Stampin' Up! products. Bring your Paper Pumpkin Kit and scissors. This event is free. However, please RSVP at least two days prior by text, phone, or email. I want to prepare enough refreshments for everyone. Even if you are not a subscriber, come to our club meeting to try a project and to see how fun Paper Pumpkin is! You may just sign up! Check out the Paper Pumpkin Kit Coordinating Colors Chart to see all of the colors used in this kit as well as past kits. Thanks for stopping by! Beth

Hello and Welcome to my Blog! Today I am sharing some alternatives for the Paper Pumpkin August 2016 Bold Botanicals. When I first saw the supplies and coordinating colors, perfect to use with the new Stampin'Up Copper embossing powder! I knew I wanted to make a set of cards and a Box with a little bit of a Western look, and this is what I came out with. For the Gift Card Holder I wanted to create a bigger package, here I placed the gift card pocket inside a 4" x 5"note card. I also made a very simple box (with a little Western look) for the cards using some of the stamps, colors and supplies in the kit. I hope you liked these alternative ideas and found some inspiration to create your own. Paper Pumpkin kits are so much fun to create since includes all the supplies and instructions to make a set of cards or if you have extra materials you can make your own alternatives too! I've heard such rave reviews about our August 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit and I totally agree. What a great stamp set that was included in our boxes and what awesome elements and layers we got to play with
Click on any of the photos below to download the associated Paper Pumpkin stamp set Clear Mount Case insert pdf. Stampin' Up! has made these available for us. I update this resource page as often as I can remember to do so. So if you find that I'm behind, please contact me. Sorry they do not go back any further to when Paper Pumpkin kits first began. I'm not sure if these will all print the same size as is. You may need to adjust settings before trimming and inserting into our Stamp Cases. ~Rachel January 2024 February 2024 March 2024
