For one of my mother's birthday gifts, I created (what I consider to be) a FANTASTIC set of assorted cards featuring Stampin' Up!'s Sweet as a Peach product bundle. These products are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and oh so fun to use. I'm sure you just want to see the cards, so let's get to it: The above design features Soft Sea Foam and Calypso Coral cardstock. Stitched So Sweetly and Peach dies were used for the die-cut shapes. All of the die-cut shapes in the above card were cut with the Peach dies except for the tag, which was cut with one of the Tailor Made Tags dies. That cute cloud? It is from the Give It a Whirl dies. Dies featured on the cards directly above and below are: Give It a Whirl, Stitched So Sweetly, Tailor Made Tags, Peach, and Pierced Blooms. Embossing Folders are: Brick & Mortar and Bark. All of the peaches were given a pretty shimmer with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The card below features You're a Peach designer paper and Checks & Dots embossing folder. Those embossed checks are the perfect amount of texture for the background! Do you love the Balmy Blue tag? I'm telling you . . . those Tailor Made Tags dies are something every card-maker should have! Just look at all of the texture and dimension on this card: Below is another of the crisp and clean designs featuring Stitched So Sweetly, Pierced Blooms, and Peach dies. The embossing folder featured on this card is Parisian Floral. Yes, it's gorgeous! It was completely unnecessary but, since I was playing with peaches, I couldn't resist using the peach image from the retired Fresh Fruit stamp set. I still love this stamp set, and I loved having the perfect opportunity to use it again. The card below just screamed for a die-cut tag, don't you think? The Wink of Stella Glitter Brush brought to life all of the peaches in this card set. Want to see inside the box? On the left interior, I placed a small pocket to hold postage stamps. The box on the right side held all of the cards. One last look at the front, which features Artistry Blooms sequins. I liked this set of cards so much that I need to make a set for myself. You just can't go wrong with peaches, and the most important thing was that I gave my mother a gift that I was quite proud of. UPDATE: I appreciate all of the views, comments, and compliments that this post has received. This was an interesting and fun project to work on; however, creating the box was a progressive task. Measurements that I mapped out ended up having to be tweaked, and I do not have a tutorial or exact dimensions at this time. If I ever re-visit this project, I will be sure to make note of exact measurements and add them to this blog post. Your understanding is appreciated.
It's time for a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge! Aren't these colors fun?!? I had some fun with the Friends For Life bundle with this color challenge! After die-cutting the heart, I randomly stamped HI in Petunia Pop, Daffodil Delight and Summer Splash. I added one Tuxedo Black Memento HI to coordinate with the die-cut "friend". There was a little too much empty space on the other side of the heart. I filled it with a cheerful flower created with the Translucent Florals Dies. The center of the flower was filled with single Iridescent Faceted Gem. A sweet and simple card that is guaranteed to brighten a friends day! Happy Stamping! Products Used:

I’ve brought together a few different products to create this pretty thank you card. One of the products that I’m completely smitten with lately is the Paper Lattice in the Annual Catalog. Any time Stampin’ Up comes out with anything similar to a lattice, I’m all in. Lattice creates such a pretty backdrop especially for floral images. I’ve paired it with a DSP “concrete” pattern from the Bloom Where You’re Planted collection and hand cut… Continue reading

This is my first card created with a new bundle called Happiness Abounds. In the catalogue it is shown in really bright and vibrant colours, I wanted to tone things down a little so used the colours featured in Texture Chic dsp which I love.I’ve actually created this one for a CASE the catalogue challenge. I’ve used the same layering as the catalogue card, how clever is the ‘notebook top’ detail on the Pool Party layer!Once I had chosen the colours of Pool Party, Petal Pink and Soft Succulent, I
Welcome back to me that is. Yes it's been a few weeks since you have heard from me, but that's what happens when your computer dies. But, I'm finally back and excited to share my crafty creations with you. :) Since I made a card for the new challenge at Sunday Stamps! but was not able to upload it in time, I am playing along and sharing it with you here and now. My focus was using the Encircled in Beauty Dies which is a new die set (love it!) that I recently added to my collection. I decided to pair it with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set - which I haven't used in a while. My project colors follow the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! I love how awesome Night of Navy looks with Calypso Coral. They look awesome together and I love how the intricate die from the Encircled in Beauty really pops against the DSP. So pretty! Following the challenge colors, I colored my butterfly using Pool Party, Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends. I added a strip of Pool Party cardstock to the center of my card and a sentiment from the Prized Peony stamp set that was hand cut out. I used the leftover piece of DSP to finish the inside. Don't miss out on my new card class: There are 9 projects in my Sweet as a Peach PDF Card class (a summer gift bag, an easel card, a matchbook card, a money/gift card, and the five remaining are A2 cards). Each project focuses on 9 different patterns from the You're a Peach 12" x 12" DSP and uses most every image, sentiment and matching die in the bundle. Plus, as an added bonus, I have provide completed insides for you to case! Happy Saturday, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a card I made for a neighboring friend who is dealing with some health issues that I just found out about. Praying that it goes well for her and that she makes a complete and full recovery. I have the awesome (and must have) Encircled in Beauty Dies on my radar still and decided to pair it with my most favorite stamp set from the annual catalog- the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. Do you know what DSP I used? It is one of the new Sale-a-bration items that you can earn for FREE starting on August 3rd when you place a $50 order. It coordinates with the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle and therefore was a no brainer selection for me. :) There are four each of three double sided designs in the Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" DSP Sale-a-bration paper. It is monochromatic with black and white designs on it that you can use as is or color it in the desired color of your choice. For my creation, I used a Blending Brush with Pool Party ink to color half of my front DSP panel and a small strip of of it was flipped over to the other side and colored using a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend. And what can I say about the Encircle in Beauty Dies? All I can say is that they are gorgeous. I used another new item for this creation but it is not very obvious. It is the die around my sentiment. It comes from the new Seasonal Labels Dies which is part of the Christmas Season Bundle found on page 18 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. There are so many different sized dies in this set that I know I will be able to use them with lots of other sentiments I already have. Lastly, I added a few Playing with Patterns Resin Dots and some retired Daffodil Delight ribbon from my stash to complete my card. NEW CARD CLASS ALERT! There are 9 projects in my Sweet as a Peach PDF Card class (a summer gift bag, an easel card, a matchbook card, a money/gift card, and the five remaining are A2 cards). Each project focuses on 9 different patterns from the You're a Peach 12" x 12" DSP and uses most every image, sentiment and matching die in the bundle. Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a color challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!! Either way, you're in for a treat!!! I used the Sweet As a Peach Stamp Set to create my card for today. We had to choose three from these colors... I chose Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz. My card base is Basic White cut at 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2" and 4 1/4" to make the fun fold (Book Binding). Fold the score at 4 1/4" back on itself. Next take a piece of You're a Peach Designer Series Paper cut the left piece at 1 1/8" x 4" and the right piece at 4" x 4". Adhere them to the card front. I love the flowering blooms of the peach tree, don't you? I hope Time Out Challenge #193 - Inspired by Words DT does! I'd love to have a garden full of peach trees...mmm, peach pie, peach cobbler, peahschnapps...oh, I digress...let's get back to my card!! Wrap a 6" piece of Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave ribbon around the left portion and secure it on the back. Put liquid glue on the back of that part and close it shut. Bend back the right side and go over the score with your bone folder. Make a bow and adhere it on the front with a glue dot so it is centered on the ribbon. Stamp the sentiment from Sweet As a Peach on a scrap piece of Basic White and cut it out with the die from the Ornate Frames Die Set. Adhere it to the Pear Pizzazz that is cut out with another die from the Ornate Frames. Adhere it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Ready for the inside? I was able to do this after watching a You Tube Video by Rachael Coon. It's easy peasy! With the side you want to see in your card face up, fold it in half lengthwise. Unfold it, turn it 90 degrees and fold same way again. Then flip it over and fold diagonally. It should fold up nicely into a square by meeting the two center scores at the point. Create your sentiments with the Sweet As a Peach stamps. I cut a Basic White square 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and stamped the Happy Birthday in Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the leaves with the same color but 2nd generation. I inked up the peaches with Pale Papaya ink and used a sponge dauber to add Calypso Coral ink to portions of the peaches. For the other sentiment, I used Calypso Coral ink on a piece of Pale Papaya card stock that I cut out with a die from Tasteful Labels. I used another die from that set to cut out a Basic White mat and sponged the edges with Calypso Coral Ink. Adhere the sentiments to the portions that are square with no crease line in the middle.. Fold it back up, do a trial run to be sure it's oriented correctly with the sentiments. You'll need to place the square diagonally so that the points touch the edges of the card and don't show from the outside. Then put liquid glue on the bottom part and adhere it to the right inside of the card base. Put liquid glue on the top part of the folded square and press the inside left portion of the card of top of the glue. Open up the card, et voila! I'm also entering my card in the Krafty Chicks Challenge #570 - ATG and Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2021. Thank you for taking a look at my post. Now, on with the hop! Good Evening Everyone Today I'm hopping with the Stamping with Friends Group and with the upcoming New Annual Catalogue, we are focusing on the products that unfortunately didn't make the cut and are retiring very soon. It's always sad to see products hit the Retiring List, but it is exciting that we have lots of New things coming out. I decided to use the You're a Peach Suite, I absolutely love this suite - much more than I thought I would, so I thought I'd use it for this hop and with the Reverse Easel Fold, gave me an opportunity to use up lots of the lovely DSP! I have made this card style a few times, but the original measurements came from Crafty Karen Designs, thanks for that Karen!! Measurements Bumblebee Card Stock 1pc - 5 7/8" x 10" 1pc - 3" x 4 1/2" 1pc - 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" Pear Pizzazz Card Stock 4pc - 5 5/8" x 2 1/4" 1pc - 1 1/4" x 3 1/4" Calypso Coral Card Stock 1pc - 5 5/8" x 4 3/4" You're a Peach DSP 3pc - 5 3/8" x 2" 1pc - 5 3/8" x 4 1/2" Basic White Card Stock 1pc - 5 3/4" x 1 1/2" 1pc - 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" 1pc - 3" x 1" ----------------------------------------- Here's a few more images before we get into the "How To" On the long side, score the Bumblebee card stock at 2 1/2" and 5" and fold and burnish as though you are making a Z Fold card to create your card base. Take all the DSP and adhere to the relevant sized Card stock mats. Also add the 2" x 5 3 /8" of Basic white to a matching mat. Add the largest panel to the card base, then two identical DSP panels above. I specifically cut my DSP so that the pattern followed through on the mats, I cut two small and the larger in a row and just wrote on the back to make sure I remembered the correct positioning! haha On the reverse of these sections add a DSP panel to the top and the basic white panel below so there is somewhere to write a message. Stamp the sentiment onto the smallest piece of basic white making sure it is over to the right hand side, then layer to the Pear Pizzazz and Bumble Bee mats. Add the sentiment to the card base centrally about 1/2" away from the edge of the card with dimensionals. this will give height to tuck the vertical panel behind and keep the card upright. On scraps of Basic White stamp the cluster of three peaches and one large peach. Ink up the stamps with Pale Papaya and then add some calypso coral ink with a dauber to create some depth. Run these through the die cut machine. Also stamp the leaf for the larger peach in Pear pizzazz, but I fussy cut this and left some length on the stem, you will see why shortly! Stamp the branch image in Pear pizzazz to fill the top of the remaining piece of Basic White. The Stamp the sentiments below to fill the rest of the space. Layer to the remaining Bumblebee card. Pop some dimensionals onto the top third of the snowman panel and adhere to the top panel of the card, again making sure it is centered with the sentiment and the card base. Pop a little glue onto the leaf image, on that extra length you kept and adhere to the large peach from behind. Then put this onto the sentiment piece - overhanging it slightly - this is why we kept some length on the stalk - otherwise it would not be very secure. Add the three small peaches to the branch image. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card today as much as I did creating it! Please continue through the Hop and get lots more inspiration for those retiring sets. Hello and welcome to the June Stampers Showcase Blog Hop! This month we have a lovely theme Summertime Florals I love the thought of Summertime florals especially as we are in the middle of winter here in Australia. I have chosen a sunny colour palette for my card to bring some sunshine into my creation. I have used the Hand - Penned bundle as it is a perfect summertime flower stamp set. Start with a Basic White card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half Cut another piece of Basic White card stock to measure 14.3cm x 10cm for a mat layer Cut another piece of Basic White card stock to measure 9.8cm x 14.1cm and emboss this with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. Glue this to the mat layer Cut another piece of Basic White card stock to measure 7cm x 10cm for the layer on top of the Bumblebee layer Cut a piece of Bumblebee card stock to measure 8.5cm x10.5cm and use the scallop die on the long side to create decorative edge Stamp the floral image on a piece of Basic White card stock in Gray Granite ink. Colour the image in with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends. Die cut this image then secure floral die cut image to the 7cm x 10cm piece of Basic White card stock using Dimensionals. Glue this to the Bumblebee decorative edge layer Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set in Bumblebee on a piece Basic White card stock die cut with the coordinating die from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle. Or trim with your paper snips. Any small to medium sentiment would work Run a length of the Gingham Bumblebee ribbon around the centre of the card securing at the back with Stampin' Seal+. Then run a piece of the White Twine on the top of this securing in the same way. Tie another small length of twine in a bow on the right hand side of card Use Dimensionals to secure the Bumblebee and floral layer to the top of the Ribbon Use Mini Dimensionals to secure the sentiment to the right hand side of the flower Use a Glue Dot to secure the sweet little Bee to the top left hand side of the card My very talented friend Annette Ball is up next. I wanted to play with the flowers from the You're A Peach suite so it worked perfect for the sketch challenge over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com this week. I started with a 4 1/4" square white base. I added the You're A Peach DSP print cut 4" square. I then added the white square to that after stamping in Petal Pink the splatter stamp from the Color & Contour set. I also stamped some on the white die I cut with the Potted Succulents dies before stamping the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink. I stamped the flower set twice from the Sweet As A Peach set-once in Petal Pink and once in Calypso Coral. I stamped the peach in Coral ink and the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink. I cut them along with the Granny Apple Green branches with the Peach dies. I added champagne rhinestones to the centers for bling. Hope you have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by!
