Happy August! We are starting the month with a taste of fall! This fall card is fun to make ... lots of circles and glimmer paper and flowers! What could be better? The stamped image here is a pretty floral sketch from the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set. What I like about it is that it doesn't have to be colored to look spectacular. Here I just added a small bit of color with a Peach Pie Stampin' Blend Alcohol Marker. Peach Pie is one of the new In Colors this year, and I really like it. It's not so light

Enjoy! Thank you and M E R C I !!!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Clean And Simple (CAS) card. A Clean And Simple card has lots of white space, minimal layers and little or no embellishments. My card evolved from this color block design in the Ful of Life Designer Series Paper. I planned to go in a completely different direction, […]
This week the CASology challenge #7 clue word is "green." When I first thought of this I thought of the color green but then also the thought of "being green" entered my mind; the idea of doing what we can to save this beautiful planet that God has entrusted us with. While I do a little, I could do much more to help our planet. ANYWAYS...this is my take on the CASology challenge this week... When I think of "being green" trees always enter my mind. I used the Betsy's Blossoms large stamp and stamped it 3 times; once with Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade, and Certainly Celery. I then used the 2 1/2, 1 3/4 and 1 inch punches to punch out and layer the tree. I like how this gave the tree some dimension. The trunk of the tree was cut out freehand using the Core'dinations paper. I then used the Wood grain Impressions folder to add some texture to the truck.. The grass is a stamp from the Dinoroar stamp set and the sentiment is from the Hostess Set Summer Afternoon. I thought by adding a heart this would be another subtle touch of how we should care about our beautiful planet and all God has blessed us with. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #4. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. It will turn red when you have voted. The card I'm featuring is made with Sending Love Dies and Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Paper. I am going to show you a selection of pictures of this card then provide you with a link to a free tutorial with all the dimensions and instruction. To assist you with constructing this card, I have provided links to all the supplies I used. The cardcase is an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Pebbled Path cardstock and the next layer is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece from the Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Paper pack. I wanted to show you that the letter is just placed in the mailbox. I'll probably adhere it before I mail give it to someone. There is a die in the die set that cuts out the letter. The mailbox was cut from the 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty Paper (page 127 in the Annual Catalog). I liked the shine this paper gave the mailbox making it look realistic. The flag was cut from Real Red cardstock. All of these dies are in the die set. I ran a Garden Green vine and grass up and around the mailbox. The vine die and leaves are from the Notes of Nature Dies and the grass from Sending Love Dies. Look at this! The mailbox door folds up! So cute! You have the option to send it with the letter showing or just close it up. You could put a little surprise in there! Click on the box below to download your free tutorial. Links to supplies are listed below. Visit my YouTube Channel to see the construction of this card from the beginning to end. Just click on the picture below. Today I'm sharing the Bee My Valentine stamp set and punch with you. This is a fun & cut stamp set. And the Bee Mine designer series paper is just way too cute.
Welcome to the January 2020 Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar from Australia and this month's theme is 'Case a Card'. I hope you are inspired by my projects today as I have been inspired by Stampin' Up's! Artisan Jackie Aitken and her beautiful Painted Poppies cards Although my cards aren't exactly the same I have chosen the stamp set Painted Poppies the layouts, the colours and certain elements Jackie has used for her cards. These cards will be featured in my upcoming Stamp Club class. As a part of the January class every year I normally include some form of calendar. This year the ladies will be making this little covered notepad which holds a coordinating Stampin' Up! pen. The inside reveals a the notepad plus a tear-off calendar and a perpetual calendar to record all those important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries to help keep track during the year. I have stamped the covers of the notepad and perpetual calendars with the stamps from the Painted Poppies stamp set. I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. You are currently visiting Karen Farquhar. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. Have fun! You are invited to the Inlinkz link party! ...

January Reveal - Day 2 - Love Quarry Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Hi my friends, Here is another sneak peek of some of the new products from the upcoming Mini catalogue, using the Forever Love Suite Collection (#162590). I have used the Gold Foiled Flowers Cards & Envelopes (#162589) for this elegant card. The card has the design on the front & back, so you could also cut the card in half and use both as card fronts. There are many possibilities as you could also colour the images. The co-ordinating envelope has a gorgeous die cut flap. I used Vellum card stock (#106584) and attached this to the card. I cut the Gold Glitter from the Silver & Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper (#162288) using a die from the Lifetime Of Love dies (#162583) and attached this to the Vellum. I stamped the sentiment from the Lifetime Of Love Stamp set (#162574) using VersaMark (#102283) and using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I then cut this with the same die and used the inside piece with the sentiment and fitted it into the gold die cut piece. The Gold Blooming Pearls (#162238) and the Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to finish the card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hi everyone! It's time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Are you ready to play? As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on February 16, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. I've recently started making ATC Coins, which are Artist Trading Cards that are 2.5" circles, so I knew I wanted to create a sketch with a 2.5" circle. So I picked out some papers from my scrap pile that went with the ATC coin I had already finished and set about creating a layout. The ATC Coin background was done with distress paints, stencils and the Texture Tiles 1 set Next I stamped images from the adorable new Springtime set that just released from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I colored the boots and flowers image with Copics then hand trimmed, doing the same for the butterfly image. A sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti set is tucked in and I then added the finished coin to a large scalloped circle and sponged the edges with wild honey and spiced marmalade distress oxides. I sponged a few of my layers with black soot, and the yellow one with wild honey and spiced marmalade. I thought it needed just a bit more, so chose the polka dot background from Texture Tiles 5 to stamp over the yellow patterned paper in wild honey. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Can't wait to see what you create! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Click here to enter Thanks for stopping much for by! I hope you have a super creative start to your week! If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to hop on over to Sweet 'n Sassy to check out their February Release. I've linked them all up below.
