Here are a few more versions of the Vertical Stretch fun-fold cards that I shared last week in my Facebook Live Online Paper Crafting Class but this time using the Myths & Magic designer paper

This is the card I started to make when I was testing colors, which resulted in yesterday's card. I've seen some other really intriguing color combinations on Pinterest, too! Think "purple mountains majesty." There are lots more looks that I want to try! The Pool Party textured cardstock is retired. It would be wonderful if that textured cardstock was brought back. It sure adds a nice, subtle bit of texture without using an embossing folder. Get ready for the release of the 2018 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog, and check out page 48 where you will find this amazing new stamp set called Waterfront! (available beginning Jan. 3, 2018) For my first 'playdate' with this new set, I decided to try out a mountain scene and a beach scene. I used the same 3 formats for both styles, and just used different stamp images and colors. Print a copy of the Occasions catalog wish list! This was one of the Sale-a-Bration sets that I thought I wouldn't want or need, until I took a closer look at the sentiments. There are greetings that cover love, friendship, thanks, and sympathy....quite a spectrum. So, I went ahead and chose it for my free SAB item. It wasn't even in the house 24 hours when I needed to make a sympathy card. (Gosh, there have been a lot of those recently.) I found that when using the DistINKtive stamps, I get a much better image if I ink the stamp using a sponge dauber, rather than pressing the stamp on the ink pad. Because they are so finely detailed, the ink tends to get in the grooves and mess up the details. A light inking with a sponge dauber works quite well for me! For good measure, I huff on the stamp before pressing it on the cardstock. The soon-to-be-available Rectangle Stitched Framelits were used here, but I shortened both the image and the greeting panels. How, you ask? Easy! After cutting the image and the greeting (with both of them placed close to one side of the Framelit), I popped them out and then moved the Framelit over to cut off the part I didn't want. You can feel when the "teeth" fit into the previously cut stitches, so it lines up perfectly. Feed the cardstock through the Big Shot with the part you want cut off going in first. You only need the make sure the first part goes through (don't crank it all the way through!), then back it out. Here's another tip: Cut a mask by stamping on a sticky note and trimming just inside the edges of the image. Make sure some of the masked image is showing when you stamp the next layer because the stamp won't reach right up to the mask, leaving a gap as shown between the two larger lilies. I did better when I stamped the smaller lily. As pretty as this card turned out, I sure hope it's a long time before I need to make another one. Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator. Waterfront stamp set. is a great value stamp set at £15 and can be used to create many landscape backgrounds. These beautiful cards have been created using Brusho crystal colours. Brusho are little pots of crystal pigmented ink which you just shake and spritz to create a myriad of colour combinations. Place the stamp on an acrylic block and shake Prussian Blue and Mossy Green over the stamp. Being photopolymer the crystals stick to the block easily. Spritz lightly with water and wipe excess away from the block leaving the water on the stamp. Stamp on cardstock. Spritz again lightly and using second piece of cardstock to stamp a second image. Warning. the photopolymer stamp will stain but does not effect the stamp. Repeat with the tree image and other image to create your scene. Stamp sentiment at bottom of card. I chose the birthday sentiment from Beautiful Day. This idea was CASE'd from Lydia Fielder of Understand Blue a fellow American Stampin Up Demonstrator. So thank you very much for this great idea. Don't forget we are still in Sale-a-bration and for every £45 spent throughout the catalogue you can choose a FREE product, SALE-A-BRATION.

Hi everyone, sharing the card I made for our Stamparoos Stampin' Up! Group Swap that was held last night. We had to make our card or project using something new out of the new catalogue. As my preorder arrived last week, I was a bit spoilt for choice. I changed my mind several times. This is the card that I decided to use as my swap. I have used a new In-colour, Grapefruit Grove along with patterned paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. The stamp set is "Love What You Do". These products are part of the Share What You Love Suite that is available from 1 May 2018. I reckon that the person who gets to name all the Stampin' Up! ink colours has the best job in the world. I love all the names that they come up with. Thank you for visiting. Carolyn Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest Group Swap

I'm so in love with the Magical Day stamps and the Myths and Magic Suite! The Magical Day stamps include mermaids, dragons, unicorns, a wizard and a knight. Just what you need to make your own castle scene. So how did I do it? I started with the castle wall. Easy peasy with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder; I pounced some Smoky Slate ink directly from the ink pad to the raised side of the folder, placed the Smoky Slate cardstock inside and gave it a trip through the Big Shot. It looks so real! But wait! That window! I knew the retired label punch would be perfect, but it was too long. So I just snipped along one of the "seams" in the brick wall, punched the window, and carefully glued the wall back together. Each image was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampin' Blends. The coordinating Magical Mates Framelits dies make cutting them out super simple! And look at that pretty grass and vine to Rapunzel's window--that's the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper cut with the framelits. The sentiment is an "original" . I took the "Wishing You a Lovely Day" from Lovely Wishes, and masked the "lovely". Then I carefully masked everything but the "N" in "wishing" and stamped it to make "AN"--whew! Good thing these are photopolymer stamps that I can see through! "EPIC" is made using individual letters from the Labeler Alphabet--with this set you can make ANY word! My nephew is a total Disney fanatic and loved to play with Legos when he was little. I thought this would be a perfect card to celebrate his birthday. Are you sold yet on Magical Day? I'll have more samples soon; I can't stop playing with it!
