Today is the day! Mehndi Medallions & Hooked on You are now available at Wplus9. I've got some more Mehndi Medallions to share with you today... Stamped the largest medallion in Fresh Snow onto a kraft panel and rounded the top corners. Layered one of the sentiments (from the same set) and leaves (from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions) over the medallion, embellished with a pearl and attached it to the top of a white card base. Created a lacy pattern trim by stamping the Mehndi border image once (in Fresh Snow ink onto a Simply Chartreuse strip), then flipped the image and stamped it a second time. I really love the way this turned out! Attached Simply Chartreuse cardstock to the bottom of the card base, rounded the corners and covered the seam with the hand stamped lacy trim. Finished the card off with a Simply Chartreuse button strung with white silk ribbon. For more inspiration, stop by and check out what the rest of the design team has created... Happy Friday friends! It's Just Add Ink challenge time and for this one Di has provided a great sketch to get us started. The Timeless Arrangement bundle was my go to for this one and this is my very first play with it and l'm in love! It's so pretty and has loads of elements in stamps and dies, so very easy to create with. To start with, l stamped the little circles roughly in the shape of the two circle elements in the sketch and added some soft shading in Soft Seafoam using blending brushes. Using various foliage colours Mossy Meadow-Old Olive-Granny Apple Green-Soft Seafoam, l diecut a heap of bits, then stamped and coloured the flower images with Stampin Blends in Bubble Bath-Lemon Lolly-Mossy Meadow. I then just started layering in rough circles to emulate the sketch and finished off with a greeting from the Artistically Inked stamp set & some Basic Rhinestones. Lots of fabulous sketch inspiration from the team, so make sure you click the link if you haven't already. Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!
Hello stampers! If you grew up in the eighties like me, chances are that you know Lady in Red by Chris de Burgh. I really do love this song and I also love the colour red. No surprise then that I chose to highlight the colour red in my creations using the Parisian Blossoms suite. Cherry cobbler to be specific, but Lady in Cherry Cobbler doesn't sound quite as catchy, more like a gluttonous mini person caught in a dessert pan! Some More Cards I do love this card so much with it's luscious red flowers. Combining
Good Morning Everyone Happy Sunday - Today we have Share it on a Sunday Projects for you and the theme is Masking! I absolutely love this technique and it has so much scope to create some beautiful projects. But I kept my Masking simple and used the technique to create a scene using the Treasured Kindness stamp set and this beautiful Tree. Masking this way helps you create depth and real look imagery on a flat surface. Measurements Early Espresso Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" 1pc - 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" Basic White Card Stock 1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" 1pc - 3" x 4 1/2" Subtles DSP Pack Pear Pizzazz 1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" --------------------------------- Take you larger piece of Early Espresso card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the DSP to the front and the larger piece of Basic White to the inside. On the remaining piece of Basic white stamp the sentiment towards the bottom of the card stock in the centre. Above this add the tree, slightly towards the right hand side. This stamp set gives you a solid image and a detailed image to really bring your stamping to life.Use a darker colour for the detail, and a lighter colour for the solid image. I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake for the Tree trunk and Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen for the leaves. Now on a post it note (over as much 'sticky' as you can) or masking paper stamp the leaves again and then fussy cut, keeping very close to the stamped image. Add the Post it Note directly on top of the leaves on the tree Ink up the Sun image in Mango Melody ink and stamp right onto the basic white card, covering some of the leaves you covered. Now gently peel away the post it note and It looks as if the sun is behind the tree! Repeat this masking process with the tree trunk, then ink up the wavy semi circle image and stamp over the base of the tree. This will make it look as if the tree is grounded on some grass. One of my friends made some of these cute nugget frogs. She found the directions here. I liked them so much I made a bunch for cards! Here are a couple I just finished: I did change mine a bit. I used the circle punch for the body...drew the mouth in and use the flower punch for the feet. Soon as I get a chance I'll be finishing some more frog cards...I still have about 8 frogs to use up!
Today I'm sharing one of the Club cards we made during my April Card Clubs. I chose the 'Let's Chat' stamp set seen here. I love this set! Between the fun old-fashioned telephone, the greetings and the curvy 'cord' images it's a blast to create with. I chose to use the retiring Hot Air Balloon designer paper seen here for my color palette of Fresh Freesia & Balmy Blue. We did fussy cut the head set to add at the...
Like I said yesterday, my one goal of the weekend was to come out of it with 4 cards for my Punch It Punch Art Class is April-more details below. I far surpassed that goal and ended up making 14 punch art cards!!! Some you might have already seen on my Facebook page, but now you're getting all the details. Some of them are CASED some are actually my original ideas!! I'm not showing the ones that we'll make at my punch art class until after the class, so these are the ones that didn't make it. Just imagine how cute the ones that DID make it will be!!!! The ONLY reason this one didn't make it is because it uses 2 retired punches. The ears are the 5 petal flower punch and I also used the small oval. This card I did CASE from a card I found on Stampin' Connection (a demonstrator only website). I loved it and had to copy it. The giraffe alone is adorable but when you pull the card up...... .....shut the front door that's so cute!!!!!! When I showed it to Logan he said "It's a baby giraffe that grows up to be a Daddy." This card is one of my favorites from the weekend. (I'm sure I'll say that about EVERY card) His spots are just circle punches. His legs are a square punch, cut into 4 pieces. His head is ovals and circles. I added a little bow tied ribbon, because why not???!!! The greeting says "Hip Hip Hooray" from the Hip Notes set in the Occasions catalog. A stamp set I didn't think I needed, now I'm pretty sure I can't live without it! I thought it was perfect!!! Now details on my punch class, I do a punch art class at least once a year. My customer love it and so do I!!! Saturday--April 5, 2014 at 9:30am St. John's Cathedral, 318 Silver SW, Albuquerque NM Punch It!!!You asked for it, here it is!!! It's time to break out the punches for some pretty awesome punch art!! This class is all about SU punches (and a few framelits). You'll make 4 amazing punch art cards! This class is $20 or FREE with a $35* order at the class. Please RSVP by April 3rd. Kits are available for this class for $25 (plus shipping if it has to be shipped). I've made this kit a little more than the class because there's so much prep work included with the punch art class. Kits will include instructions on each card. I accept Paypal for the kits, only shipped within the US. Sorry kits no longer available. If you'd like to attend or would like to purchase a kit please let me know, you can comment on this post or email me. Thanks for looking, see you soon!!!!!

Hi.. Crafty friends.. Here I am with my detailed for this month on peek-a-boo blog. I made these 3 cards using one die as focal element. Last week was bit hard for me as I was not at all in creative mood. Hope I did justice with my supply. Card #1 This is somewhat simple card. When I loose my MOJO I make simple monochrome cards. They boost my confidence a bit, as I need not to make any colour combination. * Its a topfolding 7x5" landscape card. * I took another panel, ran through an embossing folder. * I die cut leaves and panel for the sentiment ( I used small scalloped rectangle die partially to make smaller panel which can fit my sentiment). * Heat embossed the sentiment (Partial stamping) and edges of embossed panel, leaves and scalloped rectangle with gold embossing powder (I have fallen in love with this embossing powder). * The embossed panel is mounted on card base with foam sheet, glued scalloped rectangle flat with liquid glue and sentiment panel with foam tape. Then glued leaves beneath rectangle frame. Here is the card I am entering this card to Paru's card making challenge - September Stamplorations - Theme and sketch challenge - Have used both theme and sketch Penny black and more- September - Add a sentiment Ranganjali - September challenge Card #2 * I die cut several leaves from white CS. * Blended distress inks on another panel and spritz with pearlised on the panel. * Glued all leaves on the panel randomly to fill the area and trimmed the edges. * Die cut the sentiment with metallic CS. * Glued the panel on the top folding 5x7" card base and the sentiment strip. * Added few sequins. Here is the card I am entering this card to Stamplorations CAS card chellenge Stamplorations - CASEploration challenge Color throwdown challenge Mod Squad challenge Addicted to stamps and more The card concept - 57 Card #3 This is my last card for the day. I had never heard of dream catcher. But few days back had seen so many posts on FB about it. So thats the inspiration for my next card. * I used Scalloped circle die and die cut twice. Except the outed scalloped circle i glued other diecuts on top of each other. * Stamped the sentiment and heat embossed. * Then stacked 3 die cuts on each other to make the hangings. * I glued the circles first on each other, then tied leaves with green embroidery floss and glued another end beneath the last circle. * Added few green sequins. When you send a Halloween card to your spooky friends, you're participating in a tradition that's more than 600 years old. Oh I LOVE this Fun Fold Card idea!! I had never seen this fold before until I attended a 4 day retreat in So. California in February. Amy Combs hosted the retreat and this fun fold card pattern was my favorite card idea! The great thing is, it basically uses up 1/2 a sheet of 12x12 DSP (Designer Series Paper) with minimal cutting and just 3 score lines, AND showcases both sides.. I think that's the best part! There are 4 different ways you can make this card. I'll be highlighting them in my Facebook Live today at 10am PT.

Hello friends! I'm sharing a FREE Card Class this first Saturday in June, 6/1/2024. This month I'm sharing the Sweet Peas stamp set from Stampin' Up! I fell in love with this adorable imagery the minute I saw this set and knew I'd want to create a class around it.Sometimes, stamp sets with smaller images can be more difficult to use in design. In this class, I'm going to share a couple of ways to work with smaller images to give them the spotlight they deserve and make your card designs shine!Y
My friend Annie will be celebrating her birthday this week. Since I am traveling to the Stampin' Up! Incentive trip to Alaska, I knew I would miss her special day. So, before I left the island, I took her out to lunch to celebrate a little early.
