I'm so excited, as today is my first time as a guest designer for Paper Players! It's so much fun to stamp with such a great team. AND I couldn't be happier that the first challenge is a "let's go to the beach" theme. Sea shells are definitely what I think of when I think of the beach! I really got into this and decided to make a card set of four. Here are the other three: I used SU's "Hardwood" stamp and pool party ink for the background. The shells are stamped in brown sugar from" By the Seashore." The sentiments are also SU, from "Endless Birthday Wishes." I used white textured card stock, along with some pool party and brown sugar. I love those colors together! Be sure to check out all the other cards over at paper players!

Today is about making simple SHAKER CARDS that sparkle! The star of today's show is the Seas the Day Bundle! I have a list of the products used below. Several items are retiring so once they are gone, they are gone. (While supplies last for retiring items). Don't miss out! Seas the Day Bundle Shaker Cards Ombre Specialty Paper in Blue with Misty Moonlight Card Base Ombre Specialty Paper in Orange with Misty Moonlight Cardstock Ombre Specialty Paper in Purple with Misty Moonlight Cardstock All of the Different Ombre Frames with the Sea Dies CARD MEASUREMENTS Score 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock at 5-1/2" and Cut at 4-1/4" You will have two card bases with one sheet of cardstock. (I used Misty Moonlight for all card bases) NOTE: Misty Moonlight Cardstock is retiring! Retiring items are while supplies last. Get them before they are gone! Your Sea Frame Layer will be 4 x 5-1/4" - All frames were cut with Specialty Ombre Paper Window Sheet - Same size as the Frame Layer - 4 x 5-1/4" (This is only needed if you plan to make a shaker cards) You will need enough foam adhesive strips for a 4 x 5-1/4" size layer. If you are making multiple shaker cards like I am then I recommend having a full pack. You want to make sure your sequins do not escape the shaker so having the right foam strip frame is really important! Get your card layout the way you want it. I recommend stamping and die cutting multiple of the sea creatures so you have a variety of options for your ocean scene, especially if you are making multiple cards like I am. I have to have coordinating colors so I tend to stamp in those coordinating shades. You can do whatever is best for you. If you only have a few colors, that's ok! If you have a variety of shades, have fun with them! The Gorgeous Grape Octopus went with the purple frame. The Mango Melody (orange) fish went with the orange frame and the Pacific Point fish went with the blue frame. You will follow the steps for your shaker according to the video tutorial: -Adhere your window sheet to your frame layer with Tear and Tape Adhesive -Build a rectangle (completely closed at each corner) with Foam Adhesive Sheets. This will become the barrier frame that keeps your sequins in the shaker card -Place your sequins (a few pinches) of sequins in the center of the card so the area where your foam adhesive strips go are clear -Remove backing and place the frame down. Press down so the shaker is secure and then shake those sequins! Add your sentiment. You can add it as one piece to the side. If you want to add a fun visual element cut the sentiment into pieces so each word is on its own and glue them down with glue dots along the side of the card. Finish your card with a crab or star fish along with the die cut seaweed. Add with glue dots or adhesive of choice.

Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, ET, I create three projects live for my followers. You can watch the presentation on my Facebook Group Page, Stampin' Gala Stampers Group, or on my YouTube Channel. If you were unable to watch live, you can view the replay below. There is very little stamping required with these projects. The fish and seahorse are die cut out of the Expressions in Ink DSP. I love how each one has a touch of gold leafing. I always add some DSP or stamp something on the inside
At last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa, we used the Sea Life Dies – again! From the previous week’s project, there were some leftover pieces from the Layering Diorama Dies. It seemed silly not to use them in another design. So, rather than just fish, this design uses the seahorse. Once again, I’ve also added […]

My mom has always loved the beach. It's where she really comes alive. I love seeing how happy she is when she finds the perfect sand dollar. It's like a kid at Christmas and it's a contagious feeling. This was my inspiration for her birthday card. I had hoped that when she saw it, it would remind her of her love of the ocean. I even embossed the starfish with copper embossing powder to give it realistic texture. This card is a very special work of love, with a beautiful memory as inspiration. Click on this link to order Stampin' Up! - Decorative Stamps, Handmade Cards, & Papercrafting and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator. My share for today is a How Wonderful You Are Card that I designed using Stampin' Up!'s new Seascape Stamp Set and the coordinating Sea Life Dies. Let's take a look: My first order from Stampin' Up!'s new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog arrived late yesterday. Great fun in a Stampin' Up! box. Yay!!! My Card Base is Sahara Sand Cardstock. My Card Front Panel is the Pool Party/Paint pattern from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper in the Mini Occasions Catalog cut to measure 4" x 5". Using the Seascape Stamp Set, I stamped the Large Coral Stamp in Sahara Sand Ink by stamping off once onto a scrap piece of paper then onto the Panel without re-inking. I stamped the Dots Stamp in Shaded Spruce Ink by stamping off once onto a scrap piece of paper then onto the bottom of the Panel without re-inking. I did this twice. I stamped the Sea Weed Stamp in full strength Shaded Spruce Ink onto Panel and adhered the Panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using the Sea Life Dies, I die cut out the Coral from Old Olive Cardstock and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue. I die cut out the Sea Horse from the Pearlescent Specialty Paper from the Mini Occasions Catalog. I brushed on Wink of Stella and adhered the Sea Horse to my Card with tiny pieces of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. (I wish the Wink of Stella on the Sea Horse would show up in my picture. It's so hard to capture on Camera.) I also die cut out three Fish from Seaside Spray Cardstock and adhered them with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above. I stamped my Saying in Shaded Spruce Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, die cut it out with the Tasteful Labels Dies and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue. I adhered three Opal Rounds to my Card as shown in the picture above. Thanks so much again to all my Blog Reader's for visiting my Blog!!! You're AWESOME and you've really made me feel special!!! A one sheet wonder made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the retiring Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set by Stampin' Up!
One of my co-workers recently welcomed a new baby boy into his family! I decided to whip up a quick card for all of us to sign and thought I'd share it today. I confess that I don't own a lot of baby-themed stamp sets, so I had to get a little creative. I ended
I don't think I have shared this card with you yet - I made it a few months ago now. It was such fun to make, I love these bundles where you can just cut out all different shapes in different colours either stamped or not and then assemble them together. For this card I was inspired by a card on Pinterest - I loved the use of the banner framelit to create an extra layer of interest. It might look like a lot of supplies but this is a fantastic way to use up those little scraps of cardstock as each element is not all that large. I then keep any left over pieces for the next project. I used a base of Tranquil Tide then added Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Soft Seam Foam and Old Olive. I would strongly recommend using the magnetic platform with the big shot machine as these pieces are quite small and once stamped can be tricky to die cut without the help of magnets!
