This weeks Can You Case It? challenge is a colour challenge! Some gorgeous colours at that! I've been playing so much with my Holiday Catalogue products that my Annual Catalogue products were starting to feel neglected. So time to pull out a favourite stamp set - Watercolor Wings. It is such a stunning set and you really cant go wrong when using because the results always turn out amazing! The striped panel looks black in this picture but in fact they are actually Early Espresso from the DSP from the Neutrals Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stack. The butterfly is actually stamped using one colour, Hello Honey. I used a simple but very effective technique called 'Stamping Off' (that's what I call it). The lightest layer I stamped on to scrap paper twice and then onto my cardstock. The second layer, the very edge of the wings I stamped off onto my scrap paper once and then onto my card stock and then the darkest layer I stamped straight onto the cardstock. So you can get varying shades of colour out of the one ink pad. LOVE THAT!!! Do you see the gold foil doily just popping out underneath the circle? I love the scalloped edge that the doily gives to the circle. Gold is a shade of yellow, isn't it? I just love gold elements on my creations. Now to go an find the butterflies body that fell on the floor when I was making this card and for the life of me do you think I can see it! Grr! Hope I can find it! Make sure you check out the rest of the awesome creations from the other Can You Case it DT peeps! They are a clever and creative bunch! Come and show us your creations using the challenge colours! Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for Stopping By! Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Tweet

I was invited to a baby shower for Saturday afternoon and wanted to make a cute little baby boy card. So, I decided to try another card using this week's colors at The Color Dare, but this time add in Chocolate Chip like I was supposed to (unlike my first card). I really love the addition of Chocolate Chip with the colors Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise, and Pear Pizzazz. Updated to add on 6-7-11: What an honor it was to be chosen as the Featured Stamper at The Color Dare for this card! {punch art sailboat inspired by Mary Fish} **The sails of the sailboat are created using a 1 3/8" Square punch cut in half, then I cut a 1" square and cut that in half. The little "flag" at the top is cut free-hand. The bottom circle is half of a 1 3/4" Circle punch.** Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes Paper: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Brights Pattern Pack (Tempting Turquoise) Ink: Chocolate Chip Accessories: 1/2" Poly-Stitched Pear Pizzazz ribbon, Itty Bitty Buttons, glue dots (for button) Tools: 1 3/4" Circle punch, 1 3/8" Square punch, Word Window punch

#stampinup This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a simple sketch. Sometimes the simple sketches are the hardest--for me, anyway. The challenge is doubly hard because I only have one package of designer series paper while I wait impatiently for my first order to arrive tomorrow. I had to improvise on the background of the design. I knew the medallion from the "Moroccan Nights" stamp set would be perfect for the circle element, but I wasn't sure how to fill in the "blank" space. Fortunately, this set has a small star element that worked nicely! So, I stamped the medallion in Cajun Craze onto the corner of a Very Vanilla panel and then randomly stamped the star in Dapper Denim. I adhered this piece to a Dapper Denim mat and then onto a Cajun Craze card base. Next, I stamped one of the lanterns from the "Moroccan Nights" set in Cajun Craze onto a 2" x 4" Very Vanilla piece. I stamped a sentiment from the "Pun Intended" host set in Dapper Denim. I adhered this to a just-larger piece of Dapper Denim. I tied a length of Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon around the top of this piece before adhering it to the card. I really like how the new Dapper Denim In Color works with the classic Cajun Craze for these Moroccan-flavored designs. tams# 7514 Product List Moroccan 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [141646] $8.00 Pun Intended Photopolymer Stamp Set [141804] $9.50 Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad [126965] $6.50 Dapper Denim Classic Stampin' Pad [141394] $6.50 Cajun Craze 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [119684] $8.00 Dapper Denim 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [141414] $8.00 Very Vanilla 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [101650] $9.00 Dapper Denim 3/8" (1 Cm) Ruched Ribbon [141424] $8.00

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! This months theme is all about some of the new products that were available on a super special Sneak Peek just for demonstrators. All the new products go live on June 2nd, so be sure to hop over to my online store so you can see all the amazing new items - this is the best catalogue I've seen in my 5 years with SU. I have created a few cards today using the Layered Letters Alphabet Photopolymer stamp set. It has so many uses too. I love how with the clear photopolymer sets you can see what you're inking and stamping - below you'll see a cool tip from me. I've also joined the latest craze and made a carry bag for my cards - which is in the shape of a handbag! Its really easy - I have adjusted the measurements for Australian C6 cards - I saw the idea from Linda Bauwin - really cool!! Here are my creations... For more info on this card - click here Love this bag!! To make this size bag you will need half a sheet of dsp (6x12") x3 - 3/4 x 12" carstock (rims) x2 - 3/4 x 10" carstock (handles) x1 - 2 1/2 x 5 1/4"" carstock (base, scored at 1/2" around to make a base) Carolina's Tip's and Techniques I used some of the other letters and characters in the alphabet set to create the extra little pieces on my Hungry Caterpillar - the letter 'V' for the antennae, the exclamation dot '!' for the nose, and the letter 'I' for the legs - here's how... Clear view of what I'm inking makes making other shapes easy! Please leave me a comment I'd love to hear what you think Up next we have Sue Wdowik, hop on over to see her beautiful creations.
