W papierowym rękodziele, choć w sumie nie tylko papierowym, Pierwsza Komunia Święta zdecydowanie dominuje w naszych wiosennych pracach. A przecież wiosna to także czas przyjmowania Sakramentu Bierzmowania i z tej okazji też często tworzymy różne pamiątki. Najczęściej są to kartki, ponieważ jest to taka "najłatwiejsza" forma i uniwersalna - zmieścimy w niej życzenia i jakiś ewentualny pieniążkowy prezent ;-) A wiadomo, że personalizowana, ręcznie robiona kartka zawsze jest wyjątkowym podarunkiem. I dziś nasza Wiola przygotowała, w ramach swojej dzisiejszej inspiracji, taką kartkę na Bierzmowanie. Wykorzystała tu papiery z kolekcji "Złote sny", które idealnie pasują na taką okoliczność. Chyba się z nami zgodzisz, prawda? Pięknego dnia Ci życzymy!

Jak to mówią - święta, święta i po świętach. Zleciały bardzo szybko, wręcz mam wrażenie, że ekspresowo. Teraz w inspiracjach z pewnością będzie królować temat majowych Komunii ;-) Na naszym blogu znajdziesz naprawdę całą masę komunijnych inspiracji, ale oczywiście wciąż będą pojawiać się nowe. Nasze Projektantki naprawdę zachwycają swoimi pracami, a dziś właśnie taką komunijną szkatułkę przygotowała Angelika. Popatrz tylko: Angelika bardzo często ozdabia takie drewniane szkatułki, i to na różne okazje. To naprawdę rewelacyjny pomysł na komunijny upominek. Potem taka szkatułka może służyć do przechowywania komunijnych pamiątek lub zdjęć. Jeśli chodzi o papiery Angelika wybrała pastelową, akwarelową kolekcję Paper Heaven - Płatki na wietrze. Jak Ci się podoba te papiery w komunijnym projekcie? Czy Ty też sięgasz po tę kolekcję, gdy tworzysz coś na Pierwszą Komunię Świętą? *** Miłego dnia!

Today I can show my first project I made as a guest designer for Craftliners. Used them the first time ever but they 'll be used more often ;-) Vandaag mag ik mijn eerste projectje laten zien dat ik maakte als gastdesigner voor het blog van Craftliners. Today is a double color challenge for me since both challenges where I'm on the design team have color challenges this week. I really had fun with both these cards although one proved to be more challenging than the other. CAS Colours & Sketches posted these colors: And Splitcoast Stampers has these colors: I created the card for CC&S first and I'm happy I did. It took me quite some time as the colors were difficult for me and I went through several versions (using several stamp sets) before I arrived at this card. I felt everything I came up with was dreary. This happened once before with a card using gray. I think I need to practice more with my grays! In any case, I was trying something else when FedEx rang my doorbell with my new MFT order. And that was it. When I opened up the bunny stamp set I knew I would use it. I admire the coloring I see on kraft card stock but have never tried it. Here I used Prismacolors to color on Sahara Sand card stock. I'm pleased with my first attempt. To add a bit more color I stacked some die cut Pacific Point card stock under the white panel. It gives just a hint of the blue. I'm the hostess for this week's SCS color challenge and chose the colors and theme (wings). I fully intended to use parrots on the cards but ended up with the butterfly. It was one of those days where I looked at the stamps I was going to use and didn't "feel it". LOL! So I went with Plan B. For this I used Stampin' Up! water color pencils in the challenge colors along with an Aquapainter. I've seen similar cards on Pinterest using flowers but I needed the "wings" so - a butterfly front and center. To make it sparkle I added several coats of Wink of Stella. We're having a really busy half term week. Indigo has been keen to 'plant' stuff so we've made a dish of cress and have planted some lettuce seeds in an indoor tray :-) I'm trying to get her to hold off with the potatoes until we've passed the frost season!! This is a sample I made for Samuel Taylors. I'm only allowed to use what the sell so no flowers, lace and all the other scrummy embellies I can't usually resist! The stamp is one from Woodware and the papers are 'Eau De Nil' from Papermania. Sunday was the day of my daughter's dance show. The ballet routine was to music from Frozen and the tap routine was a super hero medley finishing up with I need a Hero! What a Wonder Woman she made :-) It's such a fabulous dance school. No exams, no competitions, no make-up - just little girls of all shapes and sizes and abilities strutting their stuff! It's always a fabulous show; nice and relaxed. Only one 'Elsa' took her tiara out because it was a 'flipping nuisance'. Hehehehe. Sending hugs and hoping you're having a great week. Jayne xx

Candice back with you today mixing some of the new release with some classics! I just knew the Spring Garden stencil would go perfectly with the new flower set, Mallow Blossoms, and wanted to create a beautiful card with the two! -For my background, I inked the gorgeous flower pattern using the Spring Garden stencil with spun sugar, worn lipstick and picked raspberry oxide inks on a stitched panel. -I then created my three individual circle shakers by die cutting thick white cardstock many times from the stitched circle frames to be able to create the height for my sequins and kept three of the bases to fill them on. -I glued the circles to card front, filled with sequins and covered with the layered circle frames with the acetate between the top two. -Next, I stamped the flowers from the new Mallow Blossoms set, colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them out. I also stamped the sentiment and trimmed into a banner. -I simply finished the card by adhering them all with foam tape over the circle shakers! Always make your shaker windows big enough to fit your sequins to move. It is so frustrating when you make your shaker element and they just get stuck!
