Early Expresso with Nature's Harvest & Quiet Meadow Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart 2021-2022 Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a dark brown called Early Expresso. Early Expresso is part of the Neutrals Colour Family and is a wonderful colour for trees, twigs & the like and great when creating for fellas. It is an essential colour, however, not one I usually choose to hero on a project. This week's project was inspired by silhouettes seen while walking my dog at dusk. Early Expresso is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Watercolor Pencils; the Neutrals & Gingerbread & Peppermint, Blackberry Beauty, You're A Peach, Painted Christmas, Beauty of the Earth, In Good Taste Designer Series Papers; Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card pack; Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, Blackberry Beauty Ephemera pack and Faux Suede Trim. The card below has used Early Expresso card-stock and Classic ink, plus a range of other bits and pieces. In accordance with its name, Early Expresso is reminiscent of strong black coffee, so I was going to use the Love You More Than bundle for tonight's project. I also was thinking of using Painted Christmas Suite as the pine cones would stamp brilliantly in Early Expresso. I still want to try out my ideas, however the Early Expresso project ended up by using Early Expresso to represent nature's silhouettes as the sun is setting. The blended background was created on a piece of Shimmery White card-stock using Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy Classic Stampin' inks with Stampin' Up!'s delightful Blending Brushes. Water droplets were flicked over the blended background and once dry some White Craft ink was also flicked over the background. The little sketchy grassy flowers from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set were stamped over the base of the background in Early Expresso ink. A range of plants were die cut from Early Expresso card-stock using a mix of dies from both the Harvest and Meadows die sets. Each piece had White Craft ink added on the edges with a Sponge Dauber to add sense of dimension. They were adhered in place with a mix of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Dimensionals. Strips of both Early Expresso card-stock and Copper Foil paper were added to the left edge of the card-front panel and then it was mounted onto a piece of Basic White card-stock. In turn this card front was mounted on a Sahara Sand card-stock base. A sentiment from the Nature's Harvest stamp set was stamped in Versamark onto an off-cut from the blended background and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss powder and a Heat Gun. The sentiment was fussy cut and added to the card with thin strips of Dimensionals, A bow was tied with Gold Elegant Trim and White Crinkled Seam Binding and added with Glue Dots to the left of the sentiment. The final touch was the addition of some Genial Gems and a little butterfly die cut from Copper Foil. The card inner was created with a piece of Basic White card-stock and a few left over die cut Early Expresso plants; as well as an off cut of the blended background and a thin strip of Early Expresso card-stock. I ran out of time to create a custom made envelope. My plan is to use the DSP shown in the photos as a backdrop to create a specially sized envelope . I hope you find some inspiration through my card and or the whole Blog Hop. We all enjoy creating to share with you each week. If you live in Australia, don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of Stampin' Up's 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and or the July - December 2021 Mini Catalogue & Sale-a-bration Leaflet (don't forget Sale-a-bration finishes soon), then let me know and I will be delighted to send them to you. Hello there friends... I'm back today with another clean and simple card, taking a break from Christmas cards today and wanted to share a card I made using the Nature's Harvest bundle from Stampin' Up! To see how this card came together, you can click HERE for the video. I love to watercolor. It's my favorite way to add color to an outline stamped image. Something about the softness and shading makes my heart happy, so when I saw this stamp set I knew I'd want to use my watercolor pencils and

Happy Monday! It's a beautiful fall day outside, and I'm sharing a Harvest Meadow Thank You card that I made a couple of weeks ago. Welcome to Simple Sunday!! Today's simple card is created using Stampin' Up's! Nature's Harvest Bundle. The image is stamped with Memento on Basic White. Next, a mask was created by stamping the image again on a large post-it pad. This image is die cut and placed directly over the original image. I used a Blending Brush to add Pale Papaya ink around the masked image. The Timeworn Type Embossing Folder is used after the stamping and sponging. Here are the dimensions: Pale Papaya, 11 X 4-1/4, score at 5-1/2 Basic Black, 4-7/8 X

Hi Everyone, Today for Share it on a Sunday, we are showcasing things from the new Mini Catalogue and I decided to use the designer series paper called Harvest Meadow and a tag from the Pillow Box Dies and combine it with products from the annual catalogue too. Let me show you how I made it. Materials 1 piece of misty moonlight card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" 2 pieces of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" Scraps of misty moonlight and white card for the die cuts Scraps of Harvest Meadow dsp to punch out the shapes Scrap of misty moonlight ribbon Meadow dies Pillow Box dies Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine Misty moonlight ink Trimmer Bark 3D embossing folder Forever Fern stamp set Quiet Meadow stamp set Simply scored Bone folder Multipurpose adhesive Mini dimensionals Rectangular Stamp Punch Instructions Score the misty moonlight card on the long side at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Run one of the pieces of white card through the machine in the Bark 3D embossing folder. Die cut a flower and butterfly from scraps of misty moonlight card and a tag from the white. Punch out 4 rectangle stamps with the punch. Adhere the embossed layer to the card front and arrange the 4 punch outs in a line down the left hand side using dimensionals. Add the flower on the right, with the butterfly on mini dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment on the tag using misty moonlight ink and add the ribbon tied in a knot. Add to the card front with m ore dimensionals. Decorate the other piece of white card with stamps or a sentiment (I've used the Quiet Meadow set) if required and adhere to the inside of the card. Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. This is my first full day back in the Netherlands and I would like to share this Nature's Harvest card with you. I really do love this stamp set and it is retiring! Unfortunately, I just checked and it is sold out in North America, but it is still available in the Netherlands. If you want it, let me know!! Take a peek at the top right of this card and you will see a beautiful, delicate dragonfly. These trinkets ARE still available, so get them before they are gone! Nature's
I really enjoy the Nature's Harvest Bundle, and I've used this set a ton already. This time I used the dies quite a bit. I used the Calypso Coral Pieces of the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper and added some cork and the lattice (cut into a smaller piece) to add texture for this card. This Basic White Card is embossed in Gold with Gold Ribbon and Gilded Gems. It is perfect for friends who like shine! This background was made by simply dragging Pacific Point Ink from the inkpad across Basic White cardstock using a Blending Brush. Black silhouettes create a striking focal point. I also colored the Black and White Gingham ribbon with a Pacific Point Marker. You have to be careful not to smear the ink on things when you color ribbon with a water based marker. I typically let it dry overnight. For this card, I repeated the image from the designer series paper to the focal die cuts. I think this is a great fresh yet still fall inspired card. This card is bright and light and features the small thistle like flower image. In searching for some card ideas on Pinterest and You Tube I started watching card-making videos for ideas and techniques - and have become hooked. I was impressed with the quality and variety of coordinating products from Stampin' Up! and became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in May of 2017.
Hi Stampers! Today’s card features a simple card layout, the NATURE’S HARVEST BUNDLE and other items from the HARVEST MEADOW SUITE. (STAMPIN’ UP!®️ JULY-DECEMBER 2021 MINI CATALOG) This suite of products is my favorite one in the mini catalog. The Designer Series Paper’s color palette projects a soft natural feel that pairs nicely with the Cork Specialty Paper and the Brushed Metallic Dots. The Timeworn Embossing Folder adds a soft bit of texture to cardstock, and the Diamond Weave Ribbon reminds me of a crocheted edging. The stamp set is gorgeous, but my favorite item in the suite is the Harvest Dies! Two dies cut out images from the stamp set, two are label dies for sentiments, and four dies are silhouette dies (I love those.) Let’s take a look at the stamp set and dies. NATURE’S HARVEST STAMP SET HARVEST DIES And here is the card I made: As you can see the basic layout is simple; a portrait oriented card base with a 5 1/4” x 4” layer made from two different Designer Series Paper designs (Harvest Meadow DSP and Cork Specialty DSP). A bit of ribbon conceals the seam between the two pieces of DSP. I used 3 of the silhouette die cut images for the focal images, and added a bow. I die cut the sentiment with another one of the Harvest Dies. I finished the layout by adding 3 of the brushed metallic dots. SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD * Nature’s Harvest Bundle * Soft Succulent card base 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” * Harvest Meadow DSP cut at 4” x 3” * Cork Specialty DSP cut at 4” x 2 1/2” and embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder - this adds just a touch more texture * Kraft 6x6 paper - 1 sheet * Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon 5” to go across the front of the card, and about 8” inches more for the bow *Early Espresso ink * Blending Brush *Brushed Metallic Dots -3 bronze * Stampin’ Seal, glue dots, and dimensionals ASSEMBLY * Adhere the Cork paper to the DSP making sure the two pieces together measure 5 1/4” x 4” to form the card layer * Adhere one end of the ribbon to the back side of the card layer right above the Cork paper, then adhere the other end to the back side of the card layer. Adhere the layer to the cardbase. * Die cut three of the silhouette images from the Kraft paper * Stamp the greeting on the Kraft paper with Early Espresso ink and die cut it with the smaller label die * Use a blending brush and the Early Espresso ink to add a bit of color to the die cut silhouettes and the edges of the sentiment * Use glue dots in strategic places to adhere the silhouette die cuts together and to adhere them to the card front. I put mine at an angle * Tie the remaining piece of ribbon in a bow and use a glue dot to place it in the center of the silhouette die cuts. * Use dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the upper right hand side of the card * Finish the card with the three Brushed Metallic Dots That’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time… Stamp Happy! Kim All stamps and stamped images ©️1990-2021 Stampin’ Up!®️

Daffodil Delight with Nature's Harvest Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart 2021-2022 Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a bright yellow called Daffodil Delight. Daffodil Delight is part of the Brights Colour Family and it is a wonderful colour for daffodils, daisies and other flowers as well as a sunshine - to name only a few. This week's project was inspired by a brilliant yellow daisy bush growing outside my bedroom window. Daffodil Delight is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads, re-inkers & ink spots); Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Blends, Watercolor Pencils, Soft Pastels Assortment, the Brights & Hand-Penned Designer Series Papers, Hand-Penned Memories & More cards and Shaker Shapes embellishments. The card below has used Daffodil Delight card-stock, Classic ink, Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Write Marker and some Hand-Penned DSP, plus a range of other bits and pieces. As soon as I started thinking about a project hero-ing Daffodil Delight I thought of the daisy bush that I see every morning as I open my curtains. While the flowers in the Nature's Harvest stamp set aren't daisies but coneflowers/echinacea, in my eyes they are reminiscent of my daisies. I've used the Nature's Harvest bundle and the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder from the Harvest Meadows Suite. I started with a Basic White card-stock piece and embossed it with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder. This is such a delightful EF. Its texture is gorgeous and if you look closely you can find individual words. Some ink was splattered using the thick end of both Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Markers. It's only a light splatter. A piece of the Daffodil Delight side of the Hand-Penned DSP was die cut with one of the Basic Borders dies and added to the embossed card front with Dimensionals. The echinacea flowers were stamped onto Basic White card-stock using Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends, ie Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate Combos and the Color Lifter. As I wasn't at my desk and was feeling lazy with my dog on my lap, I fussy cut the flowers rather than die cutting using the coordinating dies, which would have been sensible. Some sprigs were die cut in both Basic White and Daffodil Delight card-stocks. The stem of the Basic White sprigs were coloured with Smoky Slate Blends. The flower sections were trimmed off the yellow die cuts and adhered to the top of the coloured sprigs. The yellow floral tips were also sponged on one side with Daffodil Delight ink using a Sponge Dauber. The twiggy die cut some Basic White twigs. A piece of Pale Papaya In Colour Open Weave ribbon was cut in half length-wise and then one piece of it was tied in a bow together with a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding. A sentiment from the stamp set was stamped on Smoky Slate card-stock with Basic Gray ink and die cut with the long label die from the coordinating die set. This was positioned with Dimensionals over the bow. To finish off, a few of the cute yellow Matte Decorative Dots were added near the sentiment label. To decorate the card inner, a thin strip of the Daffodil Delight Hand-Penned DSP was adhered to the LHS with an extra flower and single long thin flower. A C6 Basic White envelope was stamped on the front and the envelope flap with the flower stamp in Daffodil Delight ink. While yellow is not one of my normal "go to colours", I do enjoy creating with this bright cheery colour. I have loved playing with Daffodil Delight in its various mediums, which has shown this colour in various strengths (lighter & darker) and mixing with Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee (the Decorative Matte Dots). I hope it has given you some ideas. Quiet Meadow Silhouette Cards I have seen so many gorgeous cards made using this layout and I just had to make some as well! This is such a simple layout. I simply used Balmy Blue Card Stock as my card base. Either landscape or portrait orientation. Then I cut another piece of Balmy Blue C/S measuring 5 1/4" x 4". I embossed it using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder and attached it to the card base. I die cut some Basic Black C/S scalloped circles using the Layering Circles Dies. Then I die cut circles using the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper and attached them to the Basic Black C/S scalloped circles. Attach them to the card using Dimensionals. Die cut some floral sprigs from the Quiet Meadow Dies using Basic Black C/S and on one card I also used a Balmy Blue C/S floral sprig. Attach them to the circles. For the sentiments, on one card I stamped directly onto the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper using Memento Black Ink and on the other card I added a separate sentiment strip. I used the Quiet Meadow Stamp for the sentiments. Add some Rhinestones if you would like and that's it! Simple right? The best part is you can earn the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper for free during our 2022 Sale-A-Bration promotion!
