Hallo allemaal, Bij de club kaarten maken met Tiets is er weer een nieuwe digi wedstrijd. Krista Smith heeft speciaal voor de club deze digi -Nikki-, gemaakt. Ze is nog niet te koop bij Krista. Na 30 november is ze wel te koop in haar webwinkel Saturated Canary!! Dus..........aan de slag gegaan. En tjeetje...............alles wat tegen kon zitten dat zat ook tegen. De schaatsjes kreeg ik in eerste instantie goed uit de mal. Maar na het airbrushen niet......grrrrrrr. Daarna een paar keer zo door de cuttlebug gedaan......ook niet. Toen maar weer m'n bakpapier gepakt en een paar keer hier mee doorgedraaid. Om een lang verhaal kort te maken...........ik ben alleen al met de schaatsen een dik uur bezig geweest. En zo zat er dus nog wel meer tegen. Maar goed...........t'is af en ik ben best heel erg tevreden ;-D (als ik zo 'bescheiden' mag zijn, hihi). De basis heb ik gemaakt met Color Core Snowflake, Stormy Gray en Blue Lightening. Het designpapier is van Bo Bunny -Powder Mountain Collection-. Ik heb het zo opgeplakt dat je de woorden Cold en Frost nog ziet staan. Leuk is ze hé?? Aan de ene kant van de kaart heb ik een Tim Holtz On the Edge Snow Flurries gebruikt en aan de andere kant de Distressed Doily. Deze heb ik allebei bewerkt met embossingpoeder Tinsel Snowflake van Ranger. Ook nog gebruikt gemaakt van een ijsrand van Marianne Design. De rand om het afdrukje heb ik bewerkt met Distress Ink Faded Jeans. De pompoentjes van het afdrukje heb ik flower soft wit opgedaan en wat glitter van le suh. Achter de schaatsen heb ik een Mini Bag beplakt met het design papier en met een figuurschaar een mooi randje aangeknipt. Hierin heb ik een zelfgemaakte label gedaan. Op deze label heb ik een afdrukje gemaakt met een Grunge Postcard stempel van LOTV. Hierop nog een Xmas greetings stempel afgedrukt ook van LOTV -Grunge Christmas Postmark-. In het rechterhoekje heb ik ook nog een stempeltje afgedrukt. Ik heb alle tekst gestempels met Memento London Fog. De schaatsen zijn van Marianne Design -LR0247-. De opgehoogde delen heb ik met de airbrush en B16 gekleurd. Voor de 'veters' heb ik scrappersflosh wit gebruikt. De schaatsjes hebben zelfs een 'bontrandje' gekregen ;-)). Het lint heb ik gekleurd met B16 (gewoon met de beitelpunt) en er een strik van gemaakt. Met behulp van de Bowdraba heb ik er ook zilverkleurig lint, belletjes en een zilverkleurige bedelster in verwerkt. De belleltjes zijn van Xenos. De zilverkleurige plakparels zijn van Joy Crafts. De blauwe bloemen waren wit, heb ik ook gekleurd met B16 (ook gewoon met de beitelpunt). De witte bloemen weet ik niet meer waar ik die vandaan heb. Ik heb hiervan aan de achterkant een heel stuk moeten wegknippen zodat het niet te hoog werd. Dit was ook weer even een 'prutswerkje'. Ik moest het namelijk wel goed vast houden en direct opplakken, anders viel de bloem uit elkaar (doordat ik het achterkantje had weggeknipt.......). Maar ik vond het zo mooier, dan moet je er wat wat voor over hebben, toch? Boven de bloemen zie je nog een stukje van de border -Frosty- van Memory Box. Dit zijn toch ook onwijs mooie stanzen, vind ik. Zo fijntjes!! Het hekje is een Doohickey van Magnolia (deze ook bewerkt met het embossingpoeder). Op de bloemen heb ik met een wattenstaafje Silver glitter writers aangebracht, zodat het niet teveel werd. In de rechterbovenhoek een superleuke bedel schaats (is niet goed te zien op de foto, maar hij is leuk!!!) In het bloementrosje zie je nog een bedeltje 'wantjes'. O, ja, ik had nog een sketch gemaakt voor deze kaart.........Ik heb me er niet echt aan gehouden, maar dat maakt niet uit........... Ik heb b.v. het hele smalle strookje over de kaart (van 2,5 cm) niet zo gedaan. Ik heb stukjes hiervan geknipt en links boven een stukje (met de tekst cold) en rechts boven een stukje geplakt (die zie je haast niet meer). De maten heb ik wel aangehouden, maar hier en daar wat verschoven. En in plaats van het strookje heb ik kant en lint gebruikt. Nog een close up van het gekleurde afdrukje. Het haar rechts had ik iets anders moeten doen (zie ik achteraf......). Op de helft had het stukje erboven lichter moeten zijn..........dat was net wat mooier geweest. Maar.............al doende leert men....toch?? Tortoise Card Original Linocut Print This card has been lovingly hand printed. A detailed cute card for all manner of occasions. Wonderful for tortoise fans, wildlife lovers, or general slowpokes! As these cards are hand printed, there may be some variation in overall finish. Every card is unique and unlike any other. Made with 250gsm card, left blank inside for your lovely messages. Gina K has started doing very short videos for very quick cards. Here is a CASE of one of them. I masked off the bottom portion of my image panel and used two different stencils to add the color, and then added a little more color - all with blending brushes. Then I stamped the sentiment in the bottom portion of the panel. I added a thin black strip at the bottom of the image, and then a thinner one under the sentiment. I matted the entire panel with black. That's it! A very simple (and quick!) card, but quite striking, I think. The stamps are both Gina K.
