Hi Everyone, Sometimes you just need a really quick card or two and the Frames & Flowers DSP can come to your rescue. The papers are beautiful but the special parts are the die cut pieces you get with the DSP. The die cuts are all in the same colors as the DSP and you can pick and choose a few to layer on your card to get the look you would like. Just add a sentiment and you are done! Hope you enjoy! Hi again, Firstly, I am taking a well deserved break for a couple of weeks but I will be back again soon. Today’s card is another easy one again using the Frames & Flowers 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#163765). The Petal Pink card front (#147009) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), then matted with Pretty Peacock card (#150886). This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The die-cut leaves and flowers are from the Frames & Flowers DSP. The leaves were taped to the card front. The sentiment from the Adventurous Sky stamp set (#163439) was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083). This was cut with a Happy Little Things die (#163709). The Petal Pink card under the sentiment was cut with a Stylish Shapes Die (#159183). This was attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I attached the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and the flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added glimmer to the flowers with Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897). “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hello again friends, Have you seen the beautiful Frames & Flowers 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#163765) which includes 3 sheets with single-sided die cuts and 3 sheets of double sided designs. These pre-cut elements are great for a quick & easy card or you can step it up with extra elements. The DSP for the background is also from this pack and attached to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550). The Pretty Peacock card (#150886) was punched with the Retired Banner Triple Punch and attached to the card. I attached the floral die cut to the Petal Pink card (#147009) which was dry embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder (#163483). “Just a Note” from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) and cut with a Stylish Shapes die (#159183), then matted with Pretty Peacock card. A fun curtain fold card design that was inspired by a scrapbook page that I made using the Stampin’ Up! Frames & Flowers Designer Series Paper
This week's challenge at Just Add Ink is to case one of the gorgeous creations of the equally gorgeous Nikki Spencer, one of our Design Team members. I decided to CASE this card, as I own, but haven't used, Stampin' Up!'s Build A Blossom stamp set and co-ordinating Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I love the reds used by Nikki, but challenged myself to go with a blue colour scheme, as I rarely reach for blues. Here's my version: As you can see, I've used my standard top-fold A5 sized card (as opposed to Nikki's square). I have difficulty tilting panels on my cards, so I placed the sentiment straight; perhaps I need to work on that neurosis! Here's a closer look at the sparkly butterfly that is perched on the satin ribbon. The stamped image was coloured in with markers, then spritzed with Champage Shimmer mist (shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol). Stamps: Build A Blossom, Kindness Matters, Field Flowers, Four Frames Card: Marina Mist, Whisper White DSP: Marina Mist Patterns Designer Series Paper Ink: Bashful Blue stampin' pad and marker, Marina Mist stampin' pad and marker, Wild Wasabi and Basic Black stampin' pads Other: Decorative Label punch, Blossom Petals Builder punch, Framed Tulips embossing folder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Antique Brad, Champagne Shimmer paint, Basic Pearls, Crimper, sponge dauber, Bashful Blue satin ribbon, sticky strip, mini glue dots, paper snips
Never one to shy away from bold designs at first glance, I challenged myself to use this DSP. The coordinating stamps and dies from the Wildly Flowering Suite sure did make these very nice cards and easy to design. The trick is, use lots of white! I kept with the main colours - Misty Moonlight and

Today I'm sharing several new products from the new Annual Catalog. I used the Country Flowers Bundle (which includes the Country Flowers stamp set and Country Flowers Dies), Country Lace Designer Series Paper, Deckled Circles Dies and Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.
Oh my goodness! Do you ever buy a stamp set on a bit of a whim and then absolutely fall in love with it? Well, the Country Flowers Bundle was that for me. I'm a sucker for a teapot (both real and stamped!), and I also love a set that provides the opportunity to colour in, so this one made its way into my shopping cart. For this card, I paired it with Country Lace DSP, and used that to base my colour scheme on. I coloured the image using Blends in Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue. I am also loving the Spotlight on Nature dies - circles in lots of sizes with pretty detailed borders. These are getting quite a workout! I'll be back with another card soon! Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn. I'm part of a fantastic group of like minded crafters sharing inspiration in our monthly blog hop! This Month, we are sharing and featuring Watercolouring! Watercolouring is one of my favourite techniques - I can feel a bit artistic and not really need any skill!! The stamped images help do all the work for me! (And I do love the 'artistic look' of slightly messy watercolouring - no precision required!!) I'm featuring a NEW bundle/suite coming in our New Catalogue starting in May (perks of being a demonstrator is that I can get these things early!) called Country Woods. The background paper is the Country Woods DSP (and it has a look of watercolouring!!) and the stamp set is the Country Flowers stamp set. I've used watercolour paper and Saddle Brown stazon ink to stamp my images. I then added ink using a water painter. To add the ink, I smooshed my ink pad onto a stamping block, and then used my water painter to pick up the colour, water it down for changes in tone and shade, and then painted the image from the left to the right leaving some bits on the right side unpainted for light reflection. Inside the card is some more painted leaves and flowers just for fun!! Make sure you keep hopping to see LOTS of amazing projects!! I'm sure you'll love them all. Blog Hop Index Watercoloured Country Flowers Please head over to my online store if you wish to see these products in more detail - and you can place your order anytime (if you're in Australia) while you're there (even if you're in your pyjamas!!)
