Hi everyone! I really like this weeks Mojo Monday's sketch but decided to turn it side ways! I used stamps from Verve's Tag Time set to create the circle. The grid was stamped in a light light yellow ink then cut out using a nesties die. Hello was then stamped in the center using Archival ink. The yellow Designer paper is from Making Memories and the green is from Lasting Impressions. Felt and paper flower and the button are also from Making Memories. I added some green ferns using the MS craft punch. I think the lace I used is really seam binding - It's been in my stash forever and I believe my Mom gave it to me a decade ago! My oh my, how we hoard stuff! Thanks for stopping by!

Last night, before bed, I was itching to make one last card.... So, I headed in with the intention of making a Mothers Day Card for my mum My mum loves all things Japanese, including the cherry blossoms (sakura 桜). So, I used the retired Stampin' Up! Set, Easter Blooms with my Stampin' Write Markers (in Rose Red and Chocolate Chip). I coloured directly on to the stamp, and then stamped on to the base cardstock, then without re-inking, I stamped it again a below, to give the impression that there were branches behind the first one. I then put a little bit of glue on some of the flowers, and a little on the main branch, I then sprinkled some super fine silver glitter on top. I don't know that you can see that in the picture above.... I then got out my Well Scripted stamp set (one of my favourites) which is also retired, and stamped Love You Much in Chocolate Chip ink in the bottom right hand corner to finish off this card. I am entering this card into the Less is More challenge for week 12's Off-Centre recipe. I am really happy that I am improving on my one layer cards, and I happily made this a one layer card without much thought... I am also entering this into the Hand Stamped Sentiments, Mothers Day challenge Until next time, Happy Stamping!
The Stampin' Up! Thinlits Card dies have literally been flying off the shelf! They make the cutest little flip cards. Today I wanted to show you how to cut your cardstock to make an extra flap on the right hand side. This project was adapted from a video I saw by the very talented Patty Bennett in the US. I'll give you the link to the video and to Patty's blog at the end of the post. The measurements here are adapted to an A4 sheet of cardstock, so that you can get two cards from an A4 sheet, s...
Creating geometry-based patterns from string is immensely satisfying, as is the punching of cardstock with a needle! This technique is called Curve Stitching; the creation of curves by use of straight lines. The Tropical Nights multipack provides luscious colors against which to contrast the texture created by string.
