Hello blogging friends and Happy Friday! Not too long ago Bazzill contacted me to see if I would like to try out some of their New Cardstock--Card Shoppe. Card Shoppe is a New cardstock that is perfect for card makers and paper crafters. It is smooth, heavy-weight (100 lbs), and folds with a crisp edge. It is prefect to use with Copic markers and it won't warp when using mists. Card Shoppe is available in 28 coordinating colors in 8.5 x 11 sheets. **NOTE--The Bazzill Basic Paper website has been doing some maintenance and once everything is up and going I will come back and add in all of the direct links. ;-) Over the next few weeks I will be sharing several projects with you using the Card Shoppe papers. Bazzill was very generous to send and extra paper pack so I will be having a fun give-away in the next couple of weeks too! So be sure to Follow, Subscribe or check back ofter--you won't want to miss out on this great prize!! Here is the card I designed using the Card Shoppe papers. I wanted to try a few different techniques with the paper just so I could see how it would hold up and the paper is Fantastic!! I did stamping, coloring with Copic markers, die cutting, embossing and paper shaping. To start I used Rich Cocoa ink and stamped the image on to Marshmallow (white) cardstock. Then I started to add color using Copic markers. I used four shades of blue for the flowers. Next I used two shades of green Copic markers to color the leaves. Sorry, but I forgot to take a picture of the bow after I colored it but I used three shades of pink to color the bow. I used S4-356 Floral Ovals die template to create the die cut. I wanted to air brush on the inside of the die cut so I left the die template in place and created a mask to put over the floral image. I used a yellow marker on the inside of the oval and a blue marker for the flowers on the outer edge. After die cutting, air brushing and removing the mask this is what the die cut looks like. Next I used Gumdrop (green) paper and S4-328 Foliage die templates to cut/emboss some leaves and then I used a green Copic marker to airbrush them. For the little flowers Icy Mint (lt. blue) Card Shoppe paper and two of the flower die templates from S5-089 Home Sweet Home. To shape the flowers and leaves I used a larger ball stylus and a foam pad. Here is a close up of the colored image and the die cut oval and flowers. I added Pearls for flower center and Diamond Clear Glitter to the flowers and leaves. The Pearls and Diamond Clear Glitter are both from The Rubber Cafe'. I added some May Arts Ribbon Sample Delicate Vintage Lace and May Arts 1/4'' Fuchsia Silk Ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. For the embossed background I used Icy Mint (lt. blue) Card Shoppe paper and EL-002 Regal M-Bossabilities Folder from Spellbinders. For the card base I used Gumball (med.blue) Card Shoppe paper. This is my first card using the Card Shoppe paper from Bazzill but I really like working with the papers. They are nice and smooth, work great with Copics and die cut and emboss beautifully! Hello my dear friends! I just got back from my vacation to Rome. What a lovely city. We just wondered around the little streets, ate a lot of ice cream and pizza. We also visited Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. I was so mesmerised by that beautiful art there. So amazed by the talent they had and how they were able to build those beautiful, huge buildings with the equipment they had in those days. This trip was a our first vacation just the two of us, my hubby and me, and we decided that no crafty blogs for me and no work emails for him. So, I am a bit behind visiting you but I'll come visit you soon. One amazing thing happened here in blogland while I was in Rome. I started my blog in last August but I had followed through Youtube some crafters prior that and one of those persons is Therese. I loved here tutorials already back then she is one of those first blogists that I started to follow. I adore her cards, they are so cleverly designed and her colouring is amazing. What comes to my colouring skills, I am not trained in any way, I've just watched many tutorials from the internet and tried on my own and I believe I've seen every video Therese has made. So big thanks along many others goes to her. I saw this amazingly wonderful card in Pinterest that she had made for her mom, you can see it here. And when I went to visit her blog today and leave her a comment, I was so blown away that MY IDOL had been inspired by my colouring. What an honour Therese, thank you! And how amazingly, I also have some magnolia cards to share here today that I made for my mother and mother-in-law. :) So, today it is my turn to host Altenew blog and I share these two cards of mine and a colouring tutorial how I coloured these magnolias with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. Well, I don't know what it is but every time I turn on my camera and start filming, everything starts to go wrong as you can see in the video. Too much pressure I guess. After several attempts to try to put that second card together, I finished it but I still felt that something was wrong about it but I couldn't figure out what it is. Luckily I have this awesome crafting friend, we chatted and she pointed out to me what was wrong about the card. Thank you, Kelly! You are the BEST! It’s Hero Hostess week on the Hero Arts blog this week and we’ve had such a fun time making birthday cards and projects for the blog! Linda and Sharon were first up on Monday with wonderful cards for a friend and a guy. On Tuesday Sally shared a stunning gift box which she had created and is sure to make a present extra special. Wednesday saw Anita with her very first video tutorial and she created a gorgeous card with wonderful instructions on how to make twisted ribbon flowers. So Friday is finally here and I’m sharing some gift wrapping ideas. Stamps (Hero Arts) Antique Engravings, Blossom Art, Large Flower & Birthday Messages I often make my own wrapping paper and embellishments for gifts. I love choosing the stamps and colours to make these and had great fun going through my Hero Arts stamps to wrap these particular gifts. Full instructions on how I wrapped the gifts are here on the Hero Arts website so I’ll just give the short version now. I stamped a butterfly randomly over pieces of some blue craft paper using VersaMark. To decorate the parcels I white embossed the butterflies and flowers on vellum and added a selection of gems – thanks again Joy for some of these! The bottom layer of the sentiment was also white embossed on vellum with the top layer white embossed on a scrap of the blue paper. The blue paper I used was from a roll which is 70m long and cost the same as a single sheet of wrapping paper. So I’ll be able to wrap lots of presents from this roll and will be able to customise them to suit the recipient’s tastes. The other day I wrapped a present for a friend using different paper and stamped embellishments. She told me that she has saved the embellishments so that she can make her first cards using them – hopefully she’ll get hooked on card making too! I'm submitting this project into The Shabby Tea Room "Party Time" Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Challenge. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

For my card, I used the 'Cherished Memories' stamps by Altenew which I coloured with my Copics. The sentiment is die cut with a Simply Graphic die. This card is made from purple cardstock and comes with a white envelope. It is 5 3/4" x 4" (cm 15 x 10,5) when folded. It is white and blank inside for your own message. On the front, I glued patterned papers and a stripe of yellow satin ribbon. The digi stamp is colored with Copics and glitter and is embellished with purple rhinestones.
