This embossing folder, Mandala Flower, is part of the Be Bold Collection from Spellbinders. This unique folder adds texture and dimension to your background by creating a beautiful partial mandala design. This folder embosses a border design, and also works on mini slimline and slimline cards. For a different look, add some ink to the folder before running through your die cutting or embossing machine, or just swipe the ink pad across the design to highlight the embossed design. This embossing folder measures 8.5" x 5.5".
Hi all. Happy March! I've been wanting to create a card with a mix of Spellbinders' Garden Favorites collection. I just thought that would be a fun project to tackle. And, this past weekend, I finally got a chance to do so. I am pairing up Lilac Etched Dies and Peach Blossom Etched Dies from the Garden Favorites Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I started by piecing together all the parts for the Lilac and the Peach Blossoms. For the lilac I used colored cardstock and added some shade on the edge of the petals with Copic markers. For the peach blossoms I used white cardstock and colored them with Copic. While waiting for the glue to dry, I ink blended some soft greens to the card panel. Then, adhere the flowers to the card panel. For fillers, I die cut some pieces from Be Bold Blooms die set. Next, adhere the panel to card base and add a gold strip. Finished by adding sentiment from Yana's Layered Script Sentiments Etched Dies. This card surprisingly comes together faster than I thought. I guess since this is the second time I am playing with this flowers, I am more used to it compare to the first time. Especially for the lilac. Well peeps, I hope you enjoy this blossoms duo. Have a blessed day.

Hi again, crafty friends. Today’s card features products from THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp… To create this card, I started by dry embossing THIS stencil with a piece of THIS watercolor cardstock. By using THIS embossing mat in my die cut machine, the pattern of the stencil presses into the paper. It’s a great technique to get more out of your stencils. Next, I die cut THIS die from the same white watercolor...Continue reading

Hello, crafters. Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video! I’m creating cards with the Flower Block stamp set in this video. This set is genius. We all have floral stamp sets in our stash, but probably none that allow us to create a colorful background all while creating beautiful flowers. This stamp set does. Yes,

I made this matching birthday card and gift card holder set for a very dear friend who used to have bunnies as pets when her daughters lived at home. Although I love teddy bears and nearly always use them to decorate my cards, I figured I should change it up once in awhile to keep things interesting. One other thing that is different about this card and gift card holder set is that I put everything together without the use of my Silhouette cutter at all... now, that's definitely a game changer for me! All the embellishments, and even the pop up mechanism inside were cut using thin metal dies. All bunnies were cut using "Eline's Collectables Baby Bunny" set, and I used Spellbinders "Be Bold Blooms" and Karen Burniston's "Fence Add On" sets for the flowers. Spellbinders Nestablilities "Open Scallop Edge Circle" together with Circle dies were used to create the lacy circle frame, and Lawn Fawn "Stitched Scalloped Borders" to cut the beaded decorative border. I used Spellbinders "Hexi-Gems Sentiments Set" to hot foil and die cut the fishtail Happy Birthday sentiment. On the inside, I added a fun pop up bouquet using Karen Burniston's "Little Twist Panel Pop Up" die. This mechanism was originally designed to create cards with a fun accordian folded, four panel pop up inside, but recently talented Karen Burniston design team members Sandy Diller and Nicky Foden have shared how they've used this same mechanism to create amazing pop up flower bouquets. After seeing their cards, I knew I wanted to give it try as well. Essentially, the only change made to the original mechanism was cutting away all the corners of the panels and loading what was left of the mechanism with blossoms and foilage. Easy peasy, but I loved the result! Just added a couple more bunnies and a sentiment box and it was done. Can't wait to try more of these type of cards! I used Karen Burniston's "Slider Box", "Surprise Cube Pop Up", and "Bam Box" dies again to create this fun pop up gift card holder. Also used Karen Burniston "Big Birthday Charms" and Lawn Fawn "Happy Birthday Border" dies to decorate the boxes to match the birthday card.
