Hello & welcome! Today I have a sweet & fun card to share with you - my Just Add Ink Design Team project for this week's colour challenge and made for my darling man. It's a very supply friendly card, combining the cute & new to me Badger Besties stamp set with my well used fave, Biggest Wish, plus ink and card in Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. Some gold Gilded Leafing adds a luxe touch. And no dies or punches were needed - surprise! Here's my finished card. Let's start with the cute badger pair. I stamped two of the three badger images in the set with Memento black ink and coloured them using my Watercolour Pencils (black, gray & white). I didn't wet the image as I was trying to create the look of fur/hair (do badgers have fur or hair?). Then some fussy cutting & grumbling commenced as I'm a bit rusty, but I got there in the end. To create the background I stamped a cluster of both 'happy' sentiments in the Biggest Wish set. All the block letter images were stamped off first onto scrap. The script 'happy' is full strength. The cluster of words was inspired by the messy grid paper on my desk which had image tests from one of my World Card Making Day projects. Inspiration is everywhere I tell you. Check out Instagram to see what I worked on. The strips of coloured card anchor the badgers on the card, and the gold Gilded Leafing added touches of lovely shine. This was my first play with the leafing and oh my goodness what a mess I made. It does add a nice touch though don't you think? Inside is very simple, replicating the pink strip & stamp cluster, but it all adds to the coordination. So that's my take on the colour challenge. I hope my darling man loves his card as much as I enjoyed making it. Remember to check out the Just Add Ink blog to see all the beautiful cards created by the Team. It's always fun to see how everyone uses the same colours. Thanks for visiting today and I hope my card has given you some ideas to try. To try your own creation, head to my SU website to see and order all the supplies you need to make it. Leave a comment if you have any questions or just to say hi. Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you another colour for Colour Creations blog hop and we are now at week 7 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. The next colour is Azure Afternoon which is part of the Brights range and it's so pretty. I need to use this colour more often in my projects. It comes in Cardstock, Classic Ink Pad, Ink Refill, Embellishments, Designer Series Paper and more Stampin' Up! products. Today's project I created a blue and white theme card using the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which includes the stamp set and dies. As this week's colour is blue I used the teapot image and stamped it in Night of Navy ink. I colured the teapot in with the Stampin' Blends in the following colours Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushell, Balmy Blue, Pecan Pie and the Colour Lifter to blend in the colours together. I also went over the coloured teapot with Watercolour Pencils using Blue, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. I find the pencils give you more control when colouring in and they make the colours seem brighter. I also used the arrangement of flowers for the teapot and coloured them in with the Stampin' Blends in Azure Afternoon and Old Olive. Again, I use the Watercolour Pencils using Blue, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green. The additional flower on the left is from the Country Birdhouse stamp set and die-cut with the coordinating dies. I used the same colours and techniques as above. I wanted to have the teapot sitting on something different and not from the Country Flowers stamp set, so I had a light bulb moment and went with the pile of books stamp which is from the Bird's Eye View stamp set. I used the Stampin' Blends and Watercolour Pencils in similar as the teapot, I also used Crushed Curry and White in the pencils. The sentiment is from Country Flowers Stamp Set and is stamped using Night of Navy ink with each word on each of the books. I wanted to try out one of the templates which is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and you can find them on page 22 of the catalogue. I do like to challenge myself and my creativity. The teapot is layered over a blended inked up panel using Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Pecan Pie inks and applied with the Blending Brush. Then layered over Azure Afternoon cardstock panel. Next, I created three strips of Azure Afternoon Designer Series Paper which is from the Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper cut at 3cm x 14cm. I used the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder and dry embossed the strips. To show through some of the white from the DSP I used a nail file to remove some of the Azure Afternoon from the paper. You can see more embossed detail by doing this technique. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. The Stamps and dies will be part of the next Annual Catalog that comes out in May, but the papers are a special just for now. While I really do love the stamps and dies, that paper is amazing!! Hello & welcome to another project share. This project is part of the ESAD blog hop, which celebrates the creative possibilities in our 2022 Mini Catalogue & Sale-a-bration promotion, together with some of the talented Demonstrators from ESAD - the Extra Special Australian & NZ Stampin' Up! Demonstrators group on facebook. Whether you've arrived on the hop from Monica Formosa's blog or another way, I'm very glad you're here. I have two sweet bird house cards to share with you, both featuring the free Friendly Hello FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set and paper bundle, and the Beautiful Shapes dies from the 2022 Mini Catalogue. You'll spot some other new must have goodies plus Annual Catalogue loves too. Let's take a look at my cards. I created these cards after seeing & loving the fun house shaped fold used on these bird house cards created by Cheryl Algie (based on cards by Chantal Herve shared in this video in French). My version has a window in the front using two hexagon dies from the Beautiful Shapes die set to create interest and depth... and fun. You may notice the roof angles are different on each card, This was a bit of a happy accident, as I mis-measured the first card I made - the striped one which created a less pointed top. Take a closer look at each card. 1. Striped Bird House Don't you love a good stripe? This fab striped print is from the Friendly Hello paper has many of my fave colours and works beautifully with the birdie colours I chose. I stamped two birdie and flower images (from the Friendly Hello stamp set) in basic gray ink, then fussy cut and coloured one complete image plus extra flowers using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in coordinating colours. The 'Friends like you' sentiment is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set from the 21-22 Annual Catalogue. Did you notice the new Iridescent Rhinestones? The are fab-u-lous! Birdie & the flowers have lovely Wink of Stella shimmer but it's hard to see in the pics. I love that the bird house card base is pretty much just a standard top folding base made with half a sheet of card, and it fits a standard envelope. I cut the size down slightly to keep the maths simple for the scores and folds on top. Here's a view from the top. Can you see that I've embossed the front with the Timber embossing folder for extra texture? Measurements: Card base: 28cm x 10cm. Score in half at 14cm then mark the centre point of the card (5cm). Score & fold: Mark 4cm from the edge of the fold line on right/left of card front and back, then make diagonal scores. You can see the scores in this flat view of each side. To make the window I cut the largest hexagon from the front of the card, then cut the next smallest hexagon from the centre of another square of card, then adhered that to the back of the window. The inside has the smoky slate card panel - also Timber embossed with sentiment - and the remainder of the Friends like you sentiment stamp, plus another fussy cut blossom. I wrote my message to the recipient on the back of the card. 2. Floral Bird House Version 2 is based on the original scoring measurements Cheryl provided, being 5cm from each side (instead of the 4cm I used on card 1). This gives a slightly more pointed roof. The window shape you choose may mean one or other roof shape may work better for you. Have a play! For this version I stamped a floral background onto a smoky slate panel for inside the card, and added a sentiment and flower to the back. This is where you'd write your message. The sentiment on the front and back are from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set (& bundle) from the 21-22 Annual Catalogue. This is a brilliant sentiment set that covers a great range of occasions and has a lovely font choice too. A must have set in my book. So that's my first two house cards. Thanks for visiting today, and a special thanks if you've left me a comment. I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects and they've inspired you to make your own sweet bird house or other fun house project. Need Friendly Hello? Where can you find the Friendly Hello stamp set and patterned paper bundle I used? It's on page 12 of the Sale-a-bration brochure or see it here in the online store. You can choose it free with any $180 purchase (ex s&h) while supplies last during Sale-a-bration. The images and sentments in the set make a fabulous addition to your stash. Click on the pic for a bigger view. Speaking of Friendly Hello's, let's get back to the ESAD blog hop. Who are these lovely ESAD peeps? They're part of a lovely community of Aus & NZ SU Demonstrators. Read more about us below if you're a fellow SU Demonstrator. Let's Hop! Now it's time to hop on to the next fab project being shared by the talented Sharni Haines. If you get lost along the loop, check out the list of blog hop participants on the list below. Oh my goodness, this Bundle is TOO cute! It's called the Sophisticated Sled Bundle and I must tell you, the dies are over the top darling! Let me show you what I mean... Look at the skates in the picture above. The dies cut out the white skates with little slits for the laces. Then there are other dies for the laces. I used Pretty in Pink cardstock, cut out the laces, and then tucked them into the little slits in the skates. They fit perfectly and look so realistic. There are separate dies for the blades, and I used
