Hello and welcome to Day One of MFT's Mixtape Card Kit Countdown!! What a fun kit this is, especially if you're "of a certain age" LOL! The Mixtape Card Kit will include the following products: Mixtape Sentiments Stamp Set Take Shape Stamp Set Cassette Tape Die-namics Card Stock – Frosted Black Vellum (1), Brushed Silver (1), Clear Acetate (1), Heavyweight Vellum (1), Smooth White (1), Ripe Raspberry (1), Orange Zest (1), Lemon Drop (1), Limelight (1), Summer Splash (1), Cornflower (1), Boysenberry (1), Cement Gray (1), Black Licorice (1) Pencil inscribed with 'Our Playlist Is My Favorite <3 MFT Neon LED Shutter Glasses Playlist Poster Available Separately: Mixtape Messages Stamp Set Portable Jams Die-namics I had SO much fun with this kit--brought back many musical memories. Road trip, anyone?? I used Equalizer Stencil to create my background on Smooth White card stock using Field Day, Lemon Drop, and Orange Zest dye inks. Once dry, I spattered with silver and black acrylic ink and when THAT was dry it was adhered directly to a Black Licorice card stock base. Using the cassette die, I laid out the rest of the design, then stamped the sentiments from MSTN Mixtape Sentiments and Mixtape Messages Stamp Sets, using Extreme Black hybrid ink. I used Gravel Gray, Black Licorice, and Smooth white card stocks to create my cassette, cut with MSTN Cassette Tape Die-namics, and once assembled, popped it up on foam tape on the card front. The RETRO part of the sentiment was cut with Essential Alphabet Die-namics from glitter card stock and popped up on foam for dimension. Some matching color enamel dots finished it off! And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for MFT's Mixtape Card Kit Release! For even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel. All products from My Favorite Things unless otherwise noted. Hi everyone! Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit and it is a beauty! Here it is: Isn't it lovely?! For the card I'm sharing today I decided to pair the gorgeous Alcohol Pearl Inks with the beautiful new flowers from the Delicate Flowers Stamp Set. I added the Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution to a piece of the white Yupo Paper and moved the ink around with my Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer Tool. After letting it get good and dry I went over it with my Powder Tool before white heat embossing numberous floral images from the Delicate Flowers Stamp Set. The key to heat embossing with the Yupo Paper is to keep the heat gun moving and not let the paper get too hot or it will warp (ask me how I know). I then die cut this panel with one of Simon's Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also diecut a piece of the Tim Holtz Silver Alcohol Ink Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle that is the next size up. I adhered the silver piece to a notecard covered with Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock, added foam tape to the back of my stamped panel, and adhered it in place. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a a piece of the ModaScrap Let Your Soul Bloom Pattered Paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and adhered the sentiment strip to my card. Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards using the new March 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Mix and Match Butterflies! This month's kit is full of fluttery fun! The included stamp set by the same name has some lovely butterfly images and sentiments, and there is a coordinating die for one of the butterflies! There is also a fun embossing folder, lovely pattern paper and some cute embellishments...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more! The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more! I had fun creating these light and airy cards with the kit! I started off by heat embossing each of the butterfly images from the Mix and Match Butterflies stamp set. in white on some pattern paper from the kit. I used the one coordinating die to cut one out, then fussy cut the others. Instead of stamping it, I just cut out the center die for each butterfly from the Matte Gold cardstock in the kit. To create a base for these, I trimmed down some of the Ivory cardstock, and used the included Dibble Tile embossing folder in the kit to add texture. I used some of the same pattern paper as each butterfly to trim strips in different sizes to layer diagonally across my card bases, then added the textured pieces (upside down!) over the top of that with foam adhesive. I added the butterflies, using liquid glue just in the centers of them and leaving the wings floating free, and stamped sentiments on the base of the cards. I finished off by rounding off one corner, and embellishing with some of the pretty coordinating gems in the kit! Here are more photos and close up views of each card: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means that if you use one of the links below, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting my blog, and stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!
