Good Morning folks! I am a little later with my blog this morning as I am having an easier morning after running many many events over the past 10 days including my weekend retreat which finished yesterday. Over the next few days I will be sharing our makes from the Saturday using the Jar of Love bundle which I included in the kits for my attendees. This was a card CASED from one by our lovely team member Chris who made me a gorgeous card for my birthday using this design but with the Baby Bear stamps so I tweaked it for my Jar of Love stamps. Once we got the construction sorted my ladies loved this card and I hope they will make more with their goodies they got to take home. The great thing about this style card is that it also folds flat for postage! Hope you like todays make and I will see you soon!

I had a lovely crafty session with a couple of stamping friends recently and had the opportunity to play with the Jar of Love bundle. These sessions can turn out to be expensive! I hadn’t paid any attention to this set at all but inevitably I loved it. What I particularly liked was that SU have thought of everything. I cut out the jar, but was wishing I could make it transparent... then discovered that there’s a die to cut out the middle of the jar, too, so I could! I used this colour combination, based on the ink pads that just happened to be on the table, and when I returned home, I realised it just happened to be a Mix It Up Monday combo, using a colour combination from my latest set of In Color charts! Well, it is if you discount the Soft Sky, which I am going to do as it’s very subtle behind the vellum. Hello Peeps!!! Today I am sharing another sneak peek of Jar of Flowers! Don't you love these flowers? I stamped the image with Black Stazon onto Thick Whisper White card stock. I colored with my water brush and ink pads, I used Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Pretty Peacock and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. I fussy cut hem all out and did the same with the jar and stems. The center is more whisper white and is embossed with the new Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. The DSP is from the new Flowers for Every Season 6 x 6 pack. I a few glitter enamel dots and a twine bow. Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this project. Stamping this fun card with the Jar of Love set and the Fruit Stand designer paper from Stampin' Up! is about as close to canning fruits or veggies that I will ever get! My grandma used to can EVERYTHING and I have fond memories of watching her.. but I guess I'm just not that domestic.. It's not on my bucket list.. but I LOVE stamping with this fun stamp set! The fun magic about this card is the window sheet die cut jars that I placed on top of the 'fruit' jars!! It really makes them seem

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms celebrating their special day! The card being shared is the one that I sent to my mother but the sentiment from Dragonfly Dreams is appropriate for a variety of special occasions. The Jar of Love stamp set bundle from Stampin' Up! is fun for creating a colorful floral bouquet. Note: due to the intense color of Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder inks, the stamps were inked and stamped onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto the cardstock. This gave the color hue that I preferred for the card. Stampin' Up! Jar of Love Bundle with sentiment

Well, tomorrow is Mother's Day and yesterday I spent some quality time with my daughter's two youngest children, Jaden and Rorey! As 9 and 10 year olds go these days, they are the most fun loving, caring, beautiful children on this planet, states their Grandmother! As such, I was thinking how much I appreciate my daughter for raising my grandchildren to be the way they are. So, because making a card shows how much you care or love someone, I made her a card from me for Mother's Day! Her favorite color is Bermuda Bay, I used that for the card base and the small flowers and hearts. Daffodil Delight was used for the main part of the large flower (it's a two step stamp) and for the center I used Crushed Curry. I used the 'Jar of Love' stamp set, which, by the way, will continue to be in the 2017-2018 Stampin Up catalog, yipee! It's a beautiful set with 37 stamps in total! Along with the stamps, there are framelits. The set of 'Everyday Jar of Love' framelits contains 17 dies. Enormous value for your dollar I would say! I used both on this card. One of the dies is the small strip of hearts at the bottom of the white mat, first I used the die to cut out the hearts on the white mat, then I repeated the cut on some Bermuda Bay glitter paper (which sadly has retired). I then glued those tiny blue hearts into the spaces left in the white mat! I embossed the rim of the jar using copper embossing powder, a new item in the catalog this year, and then popped it up on the jar using dimensionals. All the stamped images and die cuts are from the Jar of Love sets with the exception of the sentiment. I wanted to hang a label from the jar so I used Teeny Tiny Wishes as that stamp set is just like it states "Teeny Tiny" and this worked really well on the jar. I put dimensionals onto the jar and placed it on half of a white doily. To finish off, I die cut the label with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and tied it to the jar with Bermuda Bay bakers twine. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I will celebrate Mother's Day with my daughter, her husband and my grandchildren! If you would like a 2017-2018 catalog, please email with your name and address and I will gladly send one out to you. If you have shopped with me in the past 6 months, you will automatically receive one. Similarly, if you would like to purchase any of the items listed here, please do not hesitate to either contact me by email or shop online from my store, both of which are listed at the top right of this blog. I wish all of you out there in blogland a very happy Mother's Day!

This card is a lot fiddlier than it would appear, but I think the fiddle was worth it and I can't wait to make some more cards with this pretty stamp set. Fiona's notes: I love the way this stamp set layers up so that the flowers get a good dimension from the darker top layer. It does make producing one flower a three step process - stamp, stamp, diecut - but I do think it's worth it. I just won't be making 20 of these for anyone in a hurry! Stamps: Jar of Love, Itty Bitty Banners Inks: Dapper Denim, Night of Navy, Pool Party Papers: Whisper White thick Accessories: Jar of Love framelits CASED from: Doro Engel - thanks so much! Thanks so much for stopping by today, Fiona
One of the reasons why I think the Jar of Love stamp set has been so popular is that you can make so many different kinds of cards with it. The different sizes of jars as well as the variety of flowers and all the accents makes it easy to make a card for any occasion. I needed to have a few blank cards on hand to be able to pop in the mail quickly so I grabbed the Jar of Love set and started stamping. The card base is Soft Sky and then a narrow strip of A Little Foxy DSP in nice soft Smoky Slate. I stamped the water stamp in Soft Sky on Whisper White and then added the greenery stems in Pear Pizzazz. The jar is stamped in Basic Gray onto vellum for that transparent glass jar look. The lid was also stamped in Basic Gray. The flowers are Flirty Flamingo with Watermelon Wonder centers. I cut all the shapes with the coordinating Everyday Jars framelits. The jar is adhered over the water and stems by just a small bit of adhesive where the flowers and lid overlap it so you can't see it through the vellum. The flower are popped up on dimensionals. I'll add a sentiment when I need to mail the card so I can use it for anything! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Jar of Love Ink: Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder Paper: Soft Sky, Whisper White, A Little Foxy DSP, vellum Accessories: Everyday Jars framelits, dimensionals

Good Day Crafty Friends, I am back again with my favourite stamp set - Tropical Chic. I know I am bombarding you with posts at the minute, but its the first chance I have had to make it back into my crafty space after a week hiatus. Apologies, I am jamming them in while the visiting Mother In Law is busy and out of the house for the day. I have used the cross stitch die from the Stitched All Around bundle to create the stitched background onto whisper white card. Before adhering to the card base I slipped in a panel of Lemon Lime Twist so this would show through the stitching lines. The images have been stamped in bright summery colours and adhered with Tombow and mini dimensionals. The second card is another one of my "doodling stamping techniques". This time instead of adding drawn lines to my stamped images (like the leaves), I have added lots of dots to the Frangipani flowers. It does alter the appearance quite dramatically but I really like it. It looks great teamed with the lines drawn on the leaves. I have also added stamped and fussy cut images from Jar of Love and Cake Soiree as I really like these two leafy images together. Hope I have inspired you to get into your crafty space and have a play. Perhaps you will try adding dots to some of the images of stamp in your current collection. Until next time, stay crafty
