Tattoos are a long-term investment, so it’s only logical to use good tattoo ideas and designs. With so many of them floating around on the internet, one branch, or category, has gotten a lot of attention from tattoo artists — animal tattoos. There are plenty of reasons why people choose to make these tattoos over others and they might inspire your next tattoo project, if you are in the market for one.
I really like to find different ways to say "Thank you!" I like this one - a retro guest check - the kind that you would have found at that little corner cafe tucked under your plate boasting the best, juiciest burger ever. Hungry, yet? Hi friends! It's a brand new month and it also happens to be Mojo Monday! As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on June 14, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. Since it's the first day of the month, there's also a new Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps release. There are SEVEN fantastic new sets in today's release. I'll link them up below so you can take a peek! Today I chose to play with the new God Bless America set. Love these handlettered patriotic sentiments, and the flag is two pieces, so super easy to get those crisp red, white, and blue colors. The papers are from an old Authentique pad. I love Americana and had fun aging this a bit with antique linen and walnut stain inks. I hand sketched a little frame on my sketch panels to give a little border without adding the bulk of extra layers. For the flag post, I just free hand cut a post shape, then layered the flag behind it, adding a little wave to it, by rolling the flag up with a stylus first, then adding glue in strategic places to make it "wave". A few star die cuts and this card was finished. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! If you want a little extra sketch inspiration, be sure to check out the Stay Crafty With Hero Challenge #9. I had the honor of being asked to provide a sketch for it! Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #9 - open through June 11 Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Hello there, I am delighted to be guest designing for the MFT Sketch Challenge this month. The June release is fantastic and I will be sharing cards using it for the sketch challenge every Wednesday. Today's card uses the new Fish You Were Here set. The sketch calls for three circles and I thought it would be fun to make them portholes looking through to the fish in the sea. I started off by die cutting my holes for the portholes. I took a panel of white cardstock and cut circles in to it using the MFT Circle Stax 1 and Circle Stax 2 Die-namics. I then needed to create the porthole frames. I used the same dies and cut the outside circle first and then cut the inside one to create a circle frame. I die cut the little circle pieces from the MFT Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics from more white cardstock and adhered these on to the frames for the porthole details. These were then added around the apertures on the panel with MFT On Point Precision Glue. I placed the panel over a white A2 card base and using a pencil, mapped out where the apertures will be. I took the fish from the MFT Fish You Were Here set and stamped them on to the card base with MFT Extreme Black Ink. I made masks for these and then blended Distress Inks around them to create the sea. I used Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I splattered the card with water, removed the masks and let sit to dry. Once dry, I coloured the fish with Copic markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area). I then placed the aperture/porthole panel of top with foam tape. I took a sentiment from the Fish You Were Here set and stamped it on to MFT Black Licorice Cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was cut in to a strip using the MFT Skinny Strips Die-namics set and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Clear Round Drops around the sentiment. SKETCH CHALLENGE: Here is sketch 440, which we are using today: Create and share a card for the sketch challenge and you could win a $50 gift certificate to the MFT store. For more details on the challenge, please head over to the blog. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card. Affiliate links are used on some products. My family loves to wrap presents early and put them under the Christmas tree. It increases the anticipation and just gets us all in the holiday spirit. For a long time now, I’ve kept a wrapping box and handmade card file. It’s my gift giving go-to box filled with all kinds of pretty papers, ribbons, bows, cards and tags. You’d think that someone like me who loves the art of wrapping, would have a box overflowing with goodies…. but somehow that box had dwindled over time and when I needed a pretty gift tag this week, it was slim pickings!! So….. I quickly designed 3 watercolour rose tags that will be suitable for a variety of uses. Each tag measures 2.5” x 4.25” and is
