Thank you for joining me last night for my weekly live presentation on my YouTube channel, youtube.com/stampingala. Every Thursday I create three projects live for my followers. Last night, I used new products out of our new 2024 Spring Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration Catalog. If you missed the live presentation, you can watch the replay below. My first project is this beautiful Thank You card. The birds are fussy cut from the Flight & Airy DSP. This DSP is a free item during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying $50 purchase. Next, I created a creating card just to say hello!

Today I have several cards to share with you today using the same design. The measurements will be the same but I used a variety of Designer Series Papers (DSP) and embossing folders. I used the same stamp set for each card from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle (free with a $100 purchase).
Hello and happy Monday to you! Do you ever get an idea rolling around in that brain of yours about a card idea that just percolates for a while? Then all of a sudden, you've got a full-blown idea that you can't wait to try making? That's what happened with today's grouping of cards. I love the layout I'll be sharing with you today. It's one that is a real stand-by layout for me, and it gets used often. The premise of the layout all hinges on a 2" strip that goes down either side of the card. From that point, the possibilities are truly endless depending on colors and DSP used. I hope you enjoy the collection I have for you today. I tried to stick with a small palette of colors and the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper that is one of the awesome items you can earn free during Sale-a-bration. Let's have a look and you can decide if you like this layout, especially with this DSP. This is the collection of cards that I made yesterday. All of them use the Flight & Airy DSP as the focal point of the card, but there are different sentiments, colors, die-cuts, and embellishments. I chose all the colors by using the colors listed on the DSP. Aren't they a wonderful mix of bright springy colors? They look like they belong in a gift set, and that might be how they end up. Or they might all be sent out individually. Who knows? Let's get started with the instructions for each individual card. This one starts with a base of Misty Moonlight cardstock. The layer of Flirty Flamingo cardstock measures 5 1/4" x 4". The DSP print measures 2" x 5 1/4" and is attached near the left edge. The bird is one of the Flight & Airy DSP sheets with all birds. I fussy cut the entire sheet of birds and will continue to play with the individual birds adding them to cards as needed. The fussy cutting was very easy as there wasn't very much detail. The sentiment is from the Perennial Postage set. It's stamped with Misty Moonlight ink onto a Basic White piece punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. The leaves are all punched with the Bough Punch. The green colors used are Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive, and Lost Lagoon. They are attached to the label with adhesive. The label is attached to the card with Dimensionals. The bird is added to this with Dimensionals also. The gems are the Misty Moonlight color from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack. Next card starts with Boho Blue for the card base. The layer is Misty Moonlight. The DSP print is the same as the first and measures 5 1/4" x 2". It's attached near the left edge. The focal point started with a label die-cut with the Perennial Postage set using Petal Pink. It's attached flat with adhesive. The same assortment of leaves is attached to the label with adhesive. One of the birds from the collection was added over the leaves using Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Timeless Arrangements. It's stamped with Misty Moonlight ink on a 1/2" wide strip of Basic White. The Banner Pick A Punch was used to flag the ends. It's attached with Dimensionals. A double bow made from Linen Thread was tucked under the bird and is attached with a Mini Glue Dot. The beautiful finish pieces are the pink pearls from the Blooming Pearls set. The next card in the series has a base of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. The 2" strip of DSP is a different print than the others that I've used. This is the back side of the blue print used in the next card. It has a frame of Misty Moonlight cardstock surrounding it and attached with adhesive. A large circle was die-cut from Basic White cardstock. It has a sentiment from the Perennial Postage set stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink. The same collection of leaves was used with another bird attached with Dimensionals. The circle was attached to the card with Dimensionals also. A double bow made from the Simply Elegant Trim was added to the sentiment area. Three of the Misty Moonlight color gems from the Tinsel Gem Three-Pack were added to finish the card. This is where my card designs changed, and I started adding the embossed background for added interest. The card base on this one is Misty Moonlight. The layer is Flirty Flamingo, and the DSP print is the blue background floral. After attaching the DSP, the cardstock is embossed with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder that is found in the Sale-a-bration brochure as a free combo item. I love the delicate design it gives here! Then it's attached to the folded card base. The Heartfelt Hexagon Punch was used again, as was the Perennial Postage sentiment. The same assortment of leaves were added to the sentiment. The bird was attached to this with a Dimensional. It's all attached to the card with Dimensionals. A small double bow of Linen Thread was added under the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot. A trio of the new Iridescent Foil Gems was added to finish. This card starts with a card base of Petal Pink. It's embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder before adding any layers. The 2" DSP is back to the pink floral. It has a thin layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock behind is to frame it. The large circle punch was used for the sentiment which is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink. The same assortment of leaves was added. It was attached to the card with Dimensionals, and a bird was added with Dimensionals also. A double bow of Linen Thread was added to the sentiment layer. Three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added as an accent. The last card in this collection starts with Boho Blue cardstock for a base. The layer is Calypso Coral this time with the 2" DSP layer attached to the left. It's embossed with the Timeworn Type on both layers. After embossing, they're attached to the card base with adhesive. The Perennial Postage dies were used to die-cut a Petal Pink label. This is embossed with the 3D Basic cross-hatch embossing folder. The assorted leaves are attached to this, then it's attached to the card front with Dimensionals. The bird is added with Dimensionals.. The sentiment is from Timeless Arrangements and stamped with Boho Blue ink. The ends are angle cut. Then it's attached to the label with adhesive. A double Linen Thread bow is added with a Mini Glue Dot. Three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to finish the card. There you have six cards all made with the same basic layout and using most of the same pieces to assemble the cards. What a pretty set of cards these turned out to be. The different prints in the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper pack are all gorgeous and easy to create with. It was hard choosing what prints to work with. I still have more ideas for cards using these items. I love how the mixture of different greens on the leaves add a lot of visual interest without taking away from the overall look. I started making these cards with only Garden Green leaves, and it just didn't have the same appeal to me. Once I planned to use more colors of leaves, I just punched a bunch of each color then picked through the stash to find what I wanted for each card. So now I still have a stash of leaves and another of all the extra birds that I cut from that one sheet of DSP. Ah, I see more cards in my future! lol Have fun creating your own cards with these ideas. If you love this Flight & Airy DSP, place a $50 order so you can get the DSP for free. It's only available through February 29th or until it's sold out, so don't delay on getting this. It seems to be the most popular item in the Sale-a-bration brochure. Happy stamping and creating, Sharon
Stampin' Up!, Flight and Airy, Free Product, Heartfelt Hexagon, Softly Sophisticated, Sale-A-Bration, Go To Greetings, 2024
It's Sale-a-bration time again! This is Stampin' Up's biggest promotion of the year! You can choose free SAB products with every $50 or $100 purchase. Check them out HERE. For today's project, I used the beautiful Flight & Airy DSP (Designer Series Paper) that you can get free with a $50 order. The birds were fussy cut right from the paper. I got the idea for this fun fold card from a card made by Jaime Babarczy. The measurements for the corner fold card are below. To see how I got the triangle pieces cut just right, watch THIS VIDEO where I make the card step by step. Corner Fold Card Measurements in inches: Boho Blue card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4 Pink Floral DSP: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 Blue DSP: 1-5/8 x 3-5/8 Basic White: 4 x 5-1/4 (cut 2, one for inside and one for the front) Basic White: scrap to die-cut label Other products: Linen Thread and Blooming Pearls Directions: Cut your cardstock and DSP according to the measurements above. The next few steps will be easier to understand if you watch this video, but I'll try to explain in writing as well. Measure down 2” from the top right of the card base and put a small mark with a pencil. Score from this mark to the middle score line of the card. This flap will fold over. Lay one of the white panels on the card front (without the corner folded down) leaving a 1/16” edge around top (ignore the bottom) and place a little pencil mark on the right side just above the right score line on the card base. Place another pencil mark on the top left just slightly inside the score line. Cut from one mark to the other to get your white triangle piece. Now lay that same white piece on the card front with a 1/8” edge around the bottom and sides and place a small pencil mark on the right side just below the score line. Cut from that mark to the top left corner. Take your piece of DSP that is 1-5/8 x 3-5/8 and cut from one corner to the other on the diagonal. This will give you two pieces. You only need one for the card but can use the other to make an additional card. Attach your floral DSP to the white panel, then attach to the card front. Fold the right corner down on the score line and attach to the card front with dimensionals. Attach your triangle pieces to this folded area, first the white and then the DSP. Stamp your greeting in Boho Blue ink on the white label piece and add to the card with dimensionals on the left side (the right is already lifted because of the corner piece being on dimensionals.) Fussy cut a bird/flower image out of the DSP and glue to the corner area, being careful not to put glue on the part that goes over the edge so it won't stick to the inside of the card. Tie two strands of Linen Thread into a bow and attach to the card with a glue dot. Add Blooming Pearls to the card. Attach the white panel to the inside of the card. Optional: Cut a 1/2 strip of DSP to go inside. You can also fussy cut more birds to go on the inside. Below are some cards I made previously with this pattern using the Garden Walk DSP (retired now). The greeting is from Throughout the Year. Colors are Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock Thank you for stopping by today! Hello again my friends, With Christmas almost here it is a very busy time for everyone (including me) so apologies for not posting a blog every day over the next week or two. Today I am showing you one of the beautiful designer papers from Sale-a-bration which starts on 4th January along with the new mini catalogue. This pack is Flight & Airy 12”x12” DSP (#162977) and is a free product with an order of $90 (in Australia). It is easy to make a quick and easy card with beautiful DSP. I matted the DSP with the birds using Boho Blue card (#161733). The pink DSP is the reverse side of the birds paper. This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). “Happy Birthday” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Boho Blue ink (#161650), then cut with a Cracker & Treat Box die (#159182). I attached the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). So yes a very easy card which you can substitute any designer paper. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Card ideas using the Stampin' Up! Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper
Create this card using Flight & Airy by Stampin' Up! DebbieMageed SecretsToStamping #FlightAiryStampinUp #FunFold #stampinup #sharesunshine

I'm so excited to start sharing some sneak peek of upcoming Sale-a-Bration items. Sale-a-Bration begins on January 4th and it is a collection of amazing products that you can earn for free with every $60 and $120 you spend on any Stampin' Up! products. It is the best time of the Stampin' Up! year and I think that they really outdid themselves this time.Today on my YouTube live (see the replay below), I shared some ideas featuring 2 of these products; the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and t
Today is all about Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and some other free Sale-A-Bration Products. I wanted to take this opportunity to just create with some of the great free products being offered during Sale-A-Bration. What I ended up creating was 10 different cards using free products, products from the January - April Mini Catalog as well as products from the Annual Catalog just to show you how you can mix and match what you have on hand. That means today’s post will be a little less specific in it’s content and is intended more as a way to encourage you to go try some new things. CARD #1 The card base is Orchid Oasis cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11”, scored at 2 1/8” and 5 ½”. Find the center of the right side of the card base (2 1/8”) and cut from that point to the first score line at 2 1/8” on each side creating a “V”. Now fold back that score line toward the left and start to decorate. I did fussy cut out a set of the adorable little birds from the DSP to use as my focal point. Here are all the measurements and supplies used: Orchid Oasis cardstock 4 x 4 1/4, scored at 2 1/8 and 5 ½” and ¾ x 2 ¼” (sentiment layer), Flight & Airy DSP 3 x 4” (cut 3, one for the front, one for the inside left and one for the inside right), Basic White cardstock 2 ¾ x 2 ¾” (front diamond), 2 1/8 x 4” (inside) and ½ x 2” (sentiment) Go To Greetings Stamp Set Tinsel Gems 3 pack Orchid Oasis Ink Dimensionals CARD #2 The card base is exactly the same as card #1, I just placed the DSP in different areas. I also used the stamp set from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle which is another of the free Sale-A-Bration offers. Here is the list of supplies for this card. Orchid Oasis cardstock 4 x 4 1/4, scored at 2 1/8 and 5 ½” and ¾ x 2 ¼” (sentiment layer), Flight & Airy DSP 3 x 4” (cut 3, one for the front, one for the inside left and one for the inside right), Basic White cardstock 2 ¾ x 2 ¾” (front diamond), 2 1/8 x 4” (inside) and ½ x 2” (sentiment) Softly Sophisticated Bundle (SAB) Garden Green, Bubble Bath and Orchid Oasis Ink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins Dimensionals CARD #3 This card is all about layers so it really is just layering the Soft Seafoam, Garden Green and DSP. It uses the Flight & Airy DSP and a sentiment from the Quiet Reflections Stamp set that was die cut using one of the Thoughtful Expressions Dies. Here is a lift of supplies for this card. Soft Seafoam cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 5 ½”, 2 7/8 x 5 ¼” and 2 7/8 x 4 1/8” and a scrap for the sentiment, Garden Green cardstock 3 x 5 3/8” and 3 x 4 ¼”, Flight and Airy DSP 2 ¾ x 5 1/8”, 2 ¾ x 4” Quiet Reflection Stamp Set Thoughtful Expressions Die Set Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Loose Frosted Dots Dimensionals CARD #4 This card makes the most of the Designer Series Paper making it the main focal point and just adding a single small layer and some embellishments. Here is the lift of supplies for this card. Bubble Bath cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, Soft Seafoam cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” and a scrap for the sentiment, Flight and Airy DSP 4 x 5 ¼” Boho Blue Textured Ribbon (adhere the DSP to the soft seafoam layer then wrap and tie with a bow before adding to the card base) Quiet Reflections Stamp Set Thoughtful Expressions Die Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Loose Frosted Dots Dimensionals CARD #5 CARD #6 The next two cards are the same basic layout they just have different sentiments. I wanted to show here that you can use what you have since the sentiments are the only stamping on either card. Additionally, while I used a die for the sentiment a simple cut rectangle would be quite effective so remember that when creating (use what you have). Here is the list of supplies for these cards. Both: Tahitian Tide cardstock 4 ¼ x 11”, scored at 5 ¼”, Vellum cardstock 4 x 5 ¼” that has been embossed using the beautiful embossing folder that is part of the Softly Sophisticated bundle (another of the free items from Sale-A-Bration), Bubble Bath cardstock 3 ¼ x 4 ¼” and Flight & Airy DSP 3 x 4” (attach DSP to Bubble Bath and wrap with Linen Thread and tie a bow before attaching), scraps of Basic White cardstock for sentiments Linen Thread Dimensionals Azure Afternoon Ink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins Dimensionals Card 5: sentiment from Softly Sophisticated Bundle (SAB Freebie) Card 6: sentiment from Inked & Tiled Stamp Set CARD #7 CARD #8 These two cards and card #9 are all three created with the same card base. It is created using a slightly smaller than normal card base that allows part of the inside of the card to become part of the front of the card. It really is a simple technique but adds some fun interest. Here is the list of supplies for these cards. Lost Lagoon cardstock 4 ¼ x 9 ¾”, scored at 5 ½”, Flight and Airy DSP 4 x 4” for the front of the card and 1 x 4” for the inside, Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 ¼” for the inside of the card. Attach the 1 x 4” to the right side of white layer. Scrap of the Lost Lagoon for sentiments. VersaMark Ink White Stampin’ Emboss Powder Heartfelt Hellos Stamp Set (another SAB freebie) Heartfelt Hexagon Punch Tinsel Gems 3 Pack Dimensionals CARD #9 This card uses the same layout as cards 7 & 8 but just captures another of the beautiful papers in this pack. Here is the list of supplies for this card. Boho Blue cardstock 4 ¼ x 9 ¾”, scored at 5 ½”, enough to punch out a 2” circle and the Heartfelt Hexagon punch, Flight & Airy DSP 4 x 4”, enough to punch out a 2” circle and 1 x 4”, Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 ¼” Calypso Coral Ink Tinsel Gems 3 Pack Dimensionals CARD #10 This card is a very simple fun fold, the key here is the take the scored 1” area on the left and attach it to the base of the inside of the card. Note: I wrapped my ribbon and made my knot before attaching it. I did use score tape to attach this area because of the ribbon and the folding back and forth while opening the card. Here is a list of the supplies I used for this card. Boho Blue cardstock 4 x 11”, scored at 5 ½ and 6 ½” and a scrap to punch out one of the Hexagons from the bundle (cut this one in half and adhere behind the white leaving a little reveal above and below, Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 ¼ (inside) a scrap for the sentiment Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle Boho Blue Ink Boho Blue Textured Ribbon 2023 – 2025 In Color Dots Dimensionals I hope you enjoy all of these cards, this project was really a lot of fun for me and I am thrilled to be able to share so many ideas with you.
