Hi Stampers! Today’s cards feature the PICTURE THIS DIES, now available in the Stampin’ Up!®️ 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This set is one of several stand alone dies sets available in the current catalogs. Annual Catalog sample card can be found on pages 67. Let’s take a look at the dies: PICTURE THIS DIES Here are cards I made using the dies: There are several ways to place the images in the cut out frames. The cards demonstrate three ways. Let’s take a look: COUNT ON ME STAMP SET For this card I die cut the Soft Sea Foam cardstock, and used the same die to cut out a Basic White frame and used the circles for the images. SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD: *Card base - Soft Sea Foam 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” along the 8 1/2” side. * Other cardstock - 5” x 3 3/4” pieces of Soft Sea Foam and Basic White cardstock, a piece of DSP (Pattern Party used here) cut at 5 1/4” x 4” * Inks - Memento Tuxedo Black, Mango Melody. Stampin’ Blends - Crumb Cake (light & dark), Old Olive (light), Petal Pink (light & dark), Cinnamon Cider (light), and Cajun Craze (light), Pool Party (light), and Soft Sea Foam (dark). * Other - White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon about 18” * Adhesive of choice and dimensionals. ASSEMBLY * Die cut the Soft Sea Foam and the Basic White cardstock using the Picture This circle frames die. For this card use the Soft Sea Foam frame, and four of the circles from the Basic White frame (save the frame for another project. * Stamp the images and greeting (from Kangaroo & Company) on the Basic White die cut pieces. Stamp images with Memento Tuxedo Black, and stamp the greeting with Mango Melody. Color the critters with Stampin’ Blends. * Dye the ribbon with the Soft Sea Foam (dark) Stampin’ Blend. * Adhere the DSP to the card base. * Place dimensionals on the back side of the frame panel, and center it over the DSP. * Adhere the die cut images to the card - they will fit right in the cut out holes. (NOTE: I found the easiest way to adhere the stamped images is to put a dab of liquid glue on the card, then slip the image piece inside the die cut hole.) * Tie the ribbon around the card, tie in a bow, and trim the ends. WHAT’S COOKIN’ STAMP SET For this card I simply adhered die cut images inside the framed area of the PICTURE THIS die cut. SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD * Poppy Parade card base 11” x 4 1/4”, scored and folded at 5 1/2” along the 11’ side. * Other cardstock / DSP - Poppy Parade cut at 5” x 3 3/4”; scraps of Basic White for images and greeting; DSP cut at 5 1/4” x 4” (Pattern Party used here). * Inks - Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Memento Tuxedo Black. * Other - Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon about 8” and Tasteful Labels Dies and Cookin’ Dies. * Adhesive of choice, glue dots, and dimensionals. ASSEMBLY * On Basic White cardstock stamp the images and the greeting * Die cut the frame with the Picture This die with rectangular cut outs. Die cut the greeting and the images. * Adhere the DSP to the card base. * Adhere the Poppy Parade frame to the card front with dimensionals. * Put dimensionals on the back side of the images, and place them inside the framedareas. * Place a dimensional on the left side of the greeting piece (side that will be closest to the measuring cups), and place adhesive on the other side. Put the greeting in place. * Tie a bow with the ribbon; adhere it with a glue dot. Trim the ends. GARDEN BIRDHOUSES STAMP SET For this card I used the die and printer paper to make a template. The template ensured perfect placement of the stamped images. SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD: * Coastal Cabana card base cut at 11” x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2”. * A piece of Basic White cardstock, a piece of 6” x 6” DSP- Brights (Coastal Cabana), and printer paper all cut at 5” x 3 3/4”. Scraps of Basic White and Coastal Cabana cardstock for the greeting. * Inks - Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party; Stampin’ Blends - Pumpkin Pie (light and dark), Pool Party (dark), Crumb Cake (light and dark), Pale Papaya (light and dark), Daffodil Delight (light and dark), Bermuda Bay (light). * Other - Stitched Rectangles Die (1 3/4” x 1 3/8”); Pool Party Sheer Ribbon - about 14 inches. Blending Brush. * Adhesive of choice and dimensionals. Washi tape painter’s tape - any type of low tack tape. ASSEMBLY * Cut a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock at 1 7/8” x 1 1/2” to made the greeting. * Stamp the greeting with Coastal Cabana ink on Basic White cardstock. Stamp the two birds with Soft Suede ink. Add some color to them with the Crumb Cake (light) Stampin’ Blend. * Die cut the greeting with the Stitched Rectangle Die. * Place the piece of printer paper on top of the DSP, and die cut the two pieces together using the Picture This rectangle frames die. Remove the rectangle pieces from the frame, and gently separate the printer paper and DSP. * Place the 5” x 3 3/4” piece of Basic White cardstock under the printer paper die cut frame. Use the Washi tape on the corners of the printer paper to hold things in place. * Stamp the birdhouses inside the frames onto the Basic White cardstock with Soft Suede ink. * Remove the printer paper frame. * Color the birdhouses with the Stampin’ Blends. * Use the Blending Brush and the Pool Part ink to add a bit of color (sky) around the birdhouses. Also add a bit of the Pool Party ink around the greeting. * Adhere the Coastal Cabana DSP frame onto the image panel. Place dimensionals on the back of this piece and adhere it to the card base. * Adhere the greeting to its mat, and attach the greeting to the card with dimensionals. * Wrap the ribbon around the card, tie it in a bow, and trim the ends. Hello Friends, As you all know, I works quite a lot with alcohol inks and yupo. Till now, I used to source it from USA as it is very expensive here and most of the time not available. Recently, I found a new source in India for YUPO. NoteGrab - The paper is same but prices are great...:). It is available in different sizes and microns on Amazon.in. You can check the products HERE. Their Instagram handle is Notegrab.in. They were kind enough to send me a pad of these papers to try. Surface is same as yupo, the one I got was very thin but they have thicker papers too. As it is waterproof paper, thickness didn't make much of a difference. These are used for water colors too which i have to try yet. The weather is quite humid and alcohol inks don't like moisture so i had tough time maneuvering inks but enjoyed all the things I tried. Lately, I am liking the contrast in textures. I have created abstract land scape here with various Ranger and Piniata inks. Another abstract. I used tonic nuvo Gilding Flakes to add little glamour . Abstract landscape with some hand drawn trees...:P . Hills are painted with palette knife . I have used Art Impression stamps for cabin and trees. Love the cliff on this one. Last two are my favorite. Believe it or not it is just one ink - Ranger's Pitch Black . It is magical how one ink gives so many shades. Took long time to build all those layers of petals but love the end results. Once again, just black ink and some details with white sharpie. Please check their Amazon & Instagram for more info on this paper. I hope you enjoyed the post. Please mail me on [email protected] if you have any query regarding this paper or any other materials. Thank you for being here.G

Today is the day I have been waiting for forEVER. I am so excited to share a little something that I dreamed up and Taylor from Taylored Expressions helped me turn it into a reality!!! Today we are introducing Masking Stencils! What is a masking stencil you ask? Well, let me show you! (I have lots to share so hang with me!) I have 2 projects to share today along with a video showing a little about how to use them. First up, a couple of videos..... _____________________________________ MASKING STENCILS One of my favorite techniques is masking around the front of a card and adding in ink blending. The problem with masking is that sometimes the masking tape decides to hold on to your card stock and rip your creation. That has happened to me several times. I knew there had to be something easier so this masking stencil idea just came to me! I drew it out with a Sharpie and called my friend Jill Hawkins and asked her what she thought. She told me she needed it yesterday! :) So I assumed I was on to something. Next, I called my friend Heather Nichols and she drew it up for me exactly like I pictured. And then I called Taylor and the masking stencils were born! Talk about an exciting day when they came in the mail. I wanted to mask every card I made at that point. They worked beautifully. Here is the first blending project I did with the large rectangle masking stencil layered with Taylored Expression's Mosaic Leaves Stencil.... Here are the 4 sets of Masking Stencils that we have created. There are 4 shapes, 2 of each which are all pictures below. The stencils are $14 for the set of 2 and $48 for the full set. The Masking Stencils will have lots of uses for mixing techniques but here are a few benefits.... 1. No more masking with washi tape hoping your lines are straight and your paper doesn’t rip when you remove it. Simply use Pixie Spray or purple tape to adhere the stencil to the back of your cardstock panel - no more ripping! 2. There are two lines etched into each stencil for perfect alignment of an A2 card base or the layer just inside an A2 size (4” x 5.25”). Takes the guesswork out of centering the mask! 3. The stencil mask also includes the solid shape that falls out from the middle allowing you to reverse mask or apply two tones of ink to the project. Masking Stencils - Circle Masking Stencils - Rectangle Masking Stencils - Square Masking Stencils - Oval _____________________________________ CARDS Here are the projects I made using the Masking Stencil layered with one of Taylored Expressions Stencils. First up, the Oval. I attached the card to Oval Masking Stencil and then layered the Blooming Beautiful Stencil on top. I was able to use the amazing Taylored Expression Brushes to add little bits of colors onto the flowers. When I removed both stencils, this perfect Oval shaped background was revealed. I add the hello die in silver glitter paper, shadowed with vellum and then finished it off with a Simple Strips - Friendship sentiment and die cut. If you haven't had a chance to see Taylored's Simple Strips, click HERE. Amazing!! Check out the Masking Stencil - Circle..... The stencils do all the work for you. They center your masked of area instantly. The tape or adhesive all goes on the back of your card front so the part of your card front that you want clean, is completely protected. All of this can be done so quickly! After using the masking stencil, I added in some Fresh Picked Florals to the card front. Taylored Expressions has a set called Handlettered Sentiments.....you don't want to miss this one....and I used it to add in the Choose Joy. Click HERE to check out how to purchase all 4 Masking Stencil sets in ONE BUNDLE. _____________________________________ LIMITED TIME PROMOTION For a limited time, if you purchase the Bundle of all 4 shapes, you get a free 1/2" Purple Masking Tape..... _____________________________________ MASKING STENCIL INSPIRATION Check out more Masking Stencil inspiration by stopping by these blogs.... Thank you for sharing in my excitement! I hope you love these masking stencils as much as I do! Head on over to the Taylored Expressions blog to see all the new stencils along with more design team inspiration and all the details! I want to send a HUGE thank you to Heather for helping me along the way! And to Taylor for making this fun little idea turn into a reality! So blessed to count you both as friends! Designed by Mikecz, Melanie. This canvas wall art is reproduced in Oopsy Daisy's San Diego studios using the best digital printing method currently available, resulting in great clarity and color saturation. After printing, the canvas is stretched by hand over a custom built 1.5inch wood frame. The canvas wraps around the sides providing a finished decorative edge. While not needed for canvases, solid wood framing in a contemporary floater style is available in ten sizes and two color choices. A saw tooth hanger is attached for easy hanging and artist biography information is included on the back so that children can learn more about today's working artists. Canvases are exceptionally durable and can be cleaned with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
