WIDA ACCESS, the test that all ESL students take every year, can be a pain to prepare for. However, this bundle will ease your stress with a variety of no-prep paper and digital activities for your intermediate ESL learners. Included are three BOOM cards decks focusing on reading comprehension with the language of math, science, and social studies. Boom cards are self corrrecting, so this is a great way to evaluate your ELL's progress. Also included are two listening comprehension activities (paper), focusing on the language of social studies. For the speaking domain, this bundle includes science-based speaking task cards so that ESL students can practice using academic language and describing scientific phenomena. I had my students use these in stations and make recordings on FlipGrid in order to simulate the WIDA test. For the writing domain, included is a social studies a compare and contrast task designed just like WIDA's social studies sample items. In all of the included activities, no specific subject knowledge past 4th grade is required. Students gain the information they need from the readings or listening sections. This is done intentionally to make sure that what is being assessed is their overall grasp of English, not specific content or facts. This product is also a GROWING bundle, so more resources will be added at no cost to you! More to come! SAVE BIG! FOR THE BOOM CARDS: *You as the teacher will need a BOOM account, but your students will not. You will use "Fast Pin" to play with your students.
