Kuyén: Ancestors and Past Lives Kuyén is the Moon Goddess of the Mapuche people of Chile and Argentina. She represents the three phases of the moon: Kuyén Ulcha (New Moon), Kuyén Ñuque (Full Moon), and Kuyén Cushe (Crone Moon). Kuyén also controls all the lakes and oceans of Earth. She is the wife of Antu, the Sun God. He struck her once so she eludes him and stays out of his reach and will until she is healed.
