Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends! Today I'm going to share the SUPER FUN Halloween Treats that I made for my two daughters to take into their fellow co-workers for Halloween. My daughters work with some amazing PEEPS and like it when I include treats for their peeps along with the holiday treats to the grandkids. Here is what I made for my daughters............ I made these fun mummy treats! They come together SUPER FAST with the help of a fun (now retired) Stampin' UP! punch. This punch was retired last year.....but it happens to currently be in the Stampin' UP! clearance rack and can be picked up for around $7.00. (http://KadieLabadie.StampinUp.net) To create these fun little mummies.....You just need to punch out two of the above punched images with Whisper White cardstock. I then assembled the bottom and sides together......Leaving the top open. Next I distressed the edges of the mummy holder and also of the 1/8" stripes of Whisper White cardstock (that I used to wrap several layers across the front panel to look like mummy wrapping). Here's a close-up of what the bottom of the mummy looks like! The mummy holds a Hershey nugget........ That I wrapped with a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The only other thing that needed to be done was to add a pair of goggly eyes to my mummy and he was DONE! So here's what the batch of mummies for my daughters looks like. SO STINKIN CUTE and SO STINKIN FUN to make! Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the Halloween Treats that I made for my five California grandkids. Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share. Keep Living Your Dream!

My inspiration came from Charlene who made a "Chocolate Book". But who am I to leave well enough alone, LOL! Of course I had to take the general idea and run with it..... Here's how my thought process begins - with scribbles, notes, measurements, etc. I've gotten these chocolate "tips" in emails many times before so it was high time I use them in a project like Charlene did! I love it! Supplies I used: (All items from The Angel Company, except the brads) Penelope Soar With It Collection Penelope Cardstock Penelope Ribbon Seeds of Blessings stamp set Scor-Pal Versamagic Eggplant ink 1/2" circle punch Recollections brads Computer generated title, rules, and back tag. Directions: Cut cardstock to 4" x 9 1/2". With the long side across the top of your Scor-pal, score at 6 1/2" and 6 3/4". (Scor-pal tip: to score at 6 3/4", place the 6 1/2" score mark on the 4" Scor-pal line and score at 4 1/4".) Now turn the cardstock so the short side is across the top of the Scor-pal. Place the left side of the cardstock on the 3 1/2" Scor-pal line, score at 4" and 4 1/4" from top to bottom. Turn cardstock around and repeat on the other edge. Now cut the sections out marked by red in the diagram above. Fold on all of the score lines. It should look like the picture above. Glue the flaps around to the back to create a "pouch" for the candy bar. This piece will be glued on the right side of the cover which is described next: Cut cardstock to 6 3/8" x 7". With the 6 3/8" side across the top, score at 3" from each side. Decorate the rest of your "book" as desired. Here are some more pictures of mine: I designed the "pouch" to be just the right height so that when you place your Hershey bar down in it, the letters HERS show at the top. Because this chocolate is HERS! heehee, pretty cute huh?! Click on the picture to enlarge it so you can read the rules! Stop by my blog sometime - Angel Stamper 2 - I'd love to see you! Make it a great day, Tootles!
One of my very first sewing projects was a heart-shaped Valentine's Day pillow. Under the fearless tutelage of my kindergarten teachers Pat and Dot, I first sewed together two pieces of bright red flannel. Then, with my shakey five-year-old handwriting, I embroidered "I Love You" in thick white wool. We all took our time using blunt needles to spell out those three little words, and I remember feeling so proud when I presented it to my mom. This year I'm revisiting that homey, straight-from-the-heart kind of Valentine gift with these hand stitched little Felt Candy Hearts. They're great for storing candy, notes and trinkets and are truly as easy as pie to sew. I love to think of the happy pride kids will have when they bring to school their very own sewn-with-care Felt Candy Hearts. I remember that feeling well! So grab a bundle of our ultra easy-to-use 100% Wool Felt (I used the pretty Fuchsia colorway) and some cheerful DMC pearl cotton, and get started, teacher! -- Molly PS: For more speedy to sew felt Valentine's project ideas please check out the following journals (listed clockwise from top left): Felt Coffee Cozies Valentine's Pins Valentine Heart Barrettes Rose Barrettes Happy Valentine's Day!

As your Halloween candy pile has dwindles into a pile of wrappers, we have a great upcycling project to satisfy your crafty cravings. Here we’ll show you an upcycling trick to transform wrappers into napkin rings – the perfect treat for your Thanksgiving celebration. Then, in the true spirit of recycling, you can reuse them again and again. It’s a sweet way to decorate your dinner party without spending a dime. You can follow the video above, or get the complete how-to by clicking below! Materials: candy wrappers scissors pen or permanent marker ruler glue stick Instructions: 1. Cut your candy wrappers to 1.75” x 4” rectangles. You’ll need 16 pieces to make a 2” diameter napkin ring. 2. Take one wrapper and fold it in half lengthwise with the printed side facing out. Open it back up. 3. Run your glue stick along the inside of the wrapper. Fold both sides of the wrapper in to the center fold line. 4. Run your glue stick along the folded side of the wrapper. Then, fold the wrapper in half lengthwise again, so it is now a narrow rectangle. 5. Fold the wrapper in half widthwise and open it back up. 6. Fold both ends in toward the center fold line. 7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 on another wrapper. 8. Now take your two folded wrappers and fit the two tabs from one piece into the slots of the other. 9. Keep repeating steps 2 through 8 for all 15 pieces. 10. To finish your napkin ring, follow steps 2 through 5 to fold your last wrapper. Push this piece through the two open ends of your bracelet. Then, tuck the two ends into the center of this piece. Your sweet, new napkin ring is ready for dinner. As an eco-bonus, use cloth napkins that can be reused over and over. You can also upcycle your candy wrappers through the TerraCycle collection brigade. For every candy wrapper you send in, you earn 2 cents for your favorite charity. It’s a sweet treat when you can raise money and upcycle at the same time!
