Fireplace for the Willow Tea Rooms, Glasgow, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, ca.1904
16 X 20 Roses by Charles Rennie Mackintosh was originally painted in 1916. Mackintoshs wife is thought to have helped in the creation of this piece as well as many other paintings attributed to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, as Marget Mackintosh was highly skilled with watercolors. Many of the paintings created by this duo were created to match with Charles Rennie Mackintoshs architectural designs. We have recreated this delicate piece using oil on canvas, capturing the same essence as the original. With its bold lines and colors, complemented by the soft organic shape of the flowers, this piece will be the crowning display of any space.
