Here is a tutorial of how to join two ends of Romanian point lace to each other. Usually this is best to happen in a spot where you will be making the join above another cord so it is more invisible from the front of the lace. After you have unwound both ends of the cord to the spot where they just barely touch each other thrad one of the ends and pick up 1 set of stitches from each cord and place on needle and pass the needle threw them. Now thread threw the first cord again but the last set of two stitches on there then go to the second cord and do the same Now make the bar on both the top of the cord and the bottom of the cord and weave in the tails.

Couching lace to paper pattern, the first stage of making tape lace. Tape lace making is faster than real needle lace and it looks quite lovely - but I could use a thimble, my fingertips are starting to hurt from pushing the needle through paper and backing fabric. Nauhan harsiminen mallin mukaisesti paperiin on ensimmäinen askel nauhapitsin teossa.
