Hi Stamping Friends!! Just a quick post today. I wanted to share another card from my Bring On The Cake card class. If you live in the Tulare County area, I would love to stamp with you! A $50 registration fee is due by March 20th. Spots are filling up fast, so don't wait! This is a "man" card. It's always difficult to have a masculine card that would work for any guy. Some guys like sports. Some fishing. Some racing, etc. Not all men are interested in the same thing. For women, you can make a general card with flowers and be able to give it to anyone. But not the guys. Until now! BRING ON THE CAKE So there it is! A "guy" card you can give to any guy!! Here are the details about the card class. Email me if you have more questions. I'm off to my Friday job. Have a great weekend! Hope you get to stamp a little. Me? I get to hang out with some friends at a women's conference called Current. I can't wait!! Happy Stamping! Krystal

Bring on the Cake! It was birthday time again in our family - this time our sweet daughter-in-law! So a sweet and quickly put together card, perfect for the occasion. I love the paper; candles and polka dots paired easily together with a scalloped border. Bring on the Cake has been one of my favorite go-to stamp sets for birthdays since it was first introduced. And.... the birthday girl. The beautiful Mom to two of our handsome grandsons!
Sometimes you just want to switch up a traditional card and go for a fun fold, but an easy fold! This one could not be easier! All you have to do is cut a regular card base, 11" X 4 1/4. I then scored it at 5 1/2" and again at 2 3/4". Then use your bone folder to crease those score lines in a Z pattern and decorate as you wish! I decided to bring out one of the Best of Series Stamps, the Best of Flowers. I used a blender pen and Tangerine Tango and Pistachio Pudding to color in the flower. The DSP is from our new Watercolor Wonder, which I absolutely adore! The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Bring on the Cake. A little accent with one of our In Color Boutique Details and this card is sure to make anyone you send it to 'ohhh and ahhh'! After I posted Pam's Triple Time Stamped Convention Swap last week (you can see it here), I was asked by one of my blog readers to provide a step-by-step tutorial of this technique. What a fun challenge! This is just for you, Sonny! Before I begin my step-by-step tutorial, here's
Hello! Are you ready for a fun TREAT KIT from Taylored Expressions? It's called Tombstone Treats. My daughter just moved to college so I created this duo......card and treat box, to give her! My card started out with ink blending some Pink Champagne and Macaron inks. Very lightly, some clouds were ink blended over the top. I added in some tombstones in the same colors along with a marker that was white heat embossed. The dies included in the kit are awesome because they include a "backer" for EASY layering! I tucked the tombstones into some ink blended die cut grass. I added some black rhinestones as accents along with tiny flowers from Garden Variety to make this more feminine. The treat box was SUPER easy to put together. I do suggest using Scor-Tape for assembly. My treat box was decorated similarly as the card. ********************* This kit is $49 and comes neatly packaged in a handy zippered pouch with a custom sticker, making it easy to access everything you need to create delightfully spooky treat boxes. I have been having fun with the new Spring Sampler stamp set and Floral District Designer Series Paper making note cards and bookmark cards. The card on the right is the bookmark card. I used the Two Tags die to make the bookmark. It has mini magnetic buttons to hold it to the card and then you simply remove it to use as a bookmark. It is a fun note card and little gift. I'll post more samples of this set later this week. Hey folks! All I want for Christmas are craft supplies and a snowblower. I'm already sick of this whole snowy Winter gig already. Shoveling snow twice a day is for the birds. I'm looking forward to warmer weather, flowers blooming, rain and rainbows! Since Mother Nature and I don't seem to have a close working relationship and I can't do anything about the seasons or the weather, I'll practice sympathetic magic when I can and color rainbows. If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy. I used the Bring On The Cake Stamp Set by Avery Elle and stamped the Cupcake Image on two pieces of Neenah White Cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used Inkadinkado Stamp Masking Paper to mask them off. On this card, I also stamped a Sentiment fro them Stamp Set with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder. Instead of Die Cutting, I fussy cut the Cupcakes. Once I had them stamped, I colored both Panels in with Copic's (you can see the thumbnail links below for my color choices). I used the Curved Edge Dies from the Stitched Slopes and Hills Set by Simon Says Stamp on the Panel, but also on a strip of DCWV Gold Foil Paper. For this card, I also stamped the Simon Says Stamp Black Card Base with Versamark Ink, then lightly went over the Ink with Ranger Perfect Pearls in Perfect Pearl, then let it dry. I finished both cards off with a TON of Clear Wink of Stella (I feel as though rainbows should sparkle) and added some DMC Gold Embroidery Thread to one of the Cards. That's it peeps! Easy Peasy. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp You Have My Heart Release! It's awesome!!! Up next will be some Newton's Nook Festive Flamingo's. Its time! The wait is over! The July release products from MFT Stamps are now available in the store! If you are still trying to decide what to purchase, hop along with the team, and if you already know, stop on back for inspiration while you wait for your order to arrive! For the New Product Launch, I am showing off the stamp set, Delicious Birthday. While this set goes perfectly with Die-namics Bring on the Cake, it also has fantastic sentiments for all your birthday cards and projects! Each of these phrases is a separate stamp in Delicious Birthday. I set each of the images onto my die cut Oval STAX Set 1 to line them up. Then I placed my acrylic block over the top to keep them spaced perfectly. I removed the word big and stamped the other two words with Nightshift Blue ink. Then I stamped the word big in Tangy Orange ink. The candle flame got a little orange ink too. The background is Whip Cream ink on Nightshift Blue cardstock using the Confetti Background stamp. I adore that image. A lot. And the Fishtail Flags STAX die cut is Tangy Orange cardstock stamped with Tangy Orange ink with Diagonal Stripes Background. One final touch because a birthday card just needs a bow, a Nightshift Blue cardstock bow die cut using Blueprints 17. Did someone say cake? Who doesn't love cake? And cake stands, but you already know that. I adore my red cake stand and it was the inspiration for this card. I die cut the cake stand from Die-namics Bring on the Cake from Electric Red cardstock. I die cut the dome top from Sno Cone cardstock and also MFT Vellum. I thought layering the two made it look slightly more realistic. I stamped the sentiment from Delicious Birthday onto the vellum and heat embossed it with white powder. Part of me really wants a glass dome and to etch this sentiment onto it! The background was stamped in Sno Cone ink with Confetti Background. I also added these banners from Blueprints 17. How great is it that these banners die cut and then fold over your cording? Brilliant and makes it so much easier! One last card tonight, inspired by my love of cakes. And topsy-turvey cakes! I die cut the same size cake layer from Die-namics Bring on the Cake from Lemon Drop cardstock. Then I stamped each layer with Happy Birthday Background in Lemon Drop ink. The frosting layers are Razzleberry. The stars are from Blueprints 17 and are in Blu Raspberry cardstock. The background is Smooth White cardstock embossed with Stencil Diagonal Stripes. (Warning, I will be doing this a lot. A whole lot.) And finally that fantastic sentiment from Delicious Birthday-get your cake on! Perfect! Remember there is a chance to win by leaving comments on the designer's blogs! For all the details, stop by the MFT Blog! I first saw this style of card on Gina K's Stamp TV blog, and thought it would be a great card for a fancy folds class because it is quick and easy to do. It's a fun gate-fold card with a twist - it has flaps on both sides! Since I'm always in need of birthday cards, I made several to have on hand. The patterned paper used was from the (now retired) Domestic Goddess DSP. The masculine version of the card, shown below, was the same sheet of paper, just the reverse side! Notice, no bling - just another strip of ribbon to balance the other side. Stamps: Bring on the Cake (both the image & greeting) Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Domestic Goddess DSP Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka-Dots embossing folder, Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones Basic Jewels

Today is my daughter Allie's 20th birthday, and this is her birthday card I designed for her. I used the new hostess stamp set, Array of Sunshine ... and the sentiment is from the new stamp set, Bring On The Cake. I was inspired by Vicki Burdick's card where she ran the Little Leaves die through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. LOVE the texture on those leaves! I was also inspired by Karen Hamon's card and just had to try my hand at the tone-on-tone Lattice Die, her awesome layout and color scheme. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLIE !!!! RECIPE Stamps: Array of Sunshine, Bring on the Cake Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White CS Ink: Calypso Coral and Concord Crush Embellishments: Wisteria Wonder 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewels Tools: Big Shot, Little Leaves Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Lattice Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Scallop Border Punch Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

Hey everyone! It's Friday, and that means the weekend is almost here. The weather has been amazing and the next few days are supposed to be nice, too. Can't wait to get out and enjoy it...but first a quick post.... Today I'm sharing a Birthday card...for a 5 year old..as you can tell looking at the numbers. I just realized I forgot to circle the" th"...oh well...I can do that later I guess! I'm entering this in two challenges: Seize the Birthday is looking for toppings of banners and pennants, or the usual Birthday. Time Out is looking for stamping with the optional twist of apples. This is part of one of Art Impressions birthday pop-up sets. This time, I only used one of the pre-colored die cuts from the sheet - as well as the sentiment. It is popped up on a Spellbinder Majestic Elements circles. I sprinkled glitter around the edges, and a bit on the cake - with a few stray sprinklings elsewhere!
