In an identity that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, Barcelonian design studio Ingrid Picanyol have crafted an astute concoction of charismatic typography and refined application in their brand for Mas Vell. Formerly a 14th-century farmhouse in Barcelona called El Mas Vell, the space is now a refined eatery, pizzeria, micro-brewery and co-working space. Rich in both history and striking architectural features, Mas Vell is and always has been a hub for its community. With its endearing spirit and heritage in mind, Ingrid Picanyol set to work doing justice to the phenomenal space, working parallel with architect Stefano Colli in their physical resurrection and development of El Mas Vell.

In the face of convoluted, hectic and hackneyed craft beer brands, Williamsburg-based brewery EBBS stands against the tide; taking a pragmatic, uncomplicated and characterful approach to their identity – which was crafted with the help of Michael Bierut and his team at Pentagram in New York.
From multiple locations in East London, Hackney Church has made a name for itself nurturing creativity, diversity and community; from hot meals, clothes swaps, coffee mornings and counselling, to knife bins, support groups, toy swaps and even their own brewery. Following a multi-million pound restoration of their primary Church, designed by renowned architect John Pawson and carried out by Thomas Ford & Partners, London-based branding agency OMSE became involved in crafting a new identity that could span their many endeavours. With multiple sub-brands, including family and kids programmes meant to support parents and give children of East London opportunities to support their community, play and prospect faith, OMSE’s identity needed to be flexible enough to bolster these individual brands, but instantly recognisable and accessible.

We created the visual identity and packaging design for New Products' Haisenberg craft beer. The local brewery that makes it maintains high standards and offers limited batches of affordably priced unfiltered beer. It uses locally sourced ingredients without additives and German-origin hops to ensure that the beer meets world-quality standards.The design solution is based on the modern rendition of Gothic typography as a reference to the German beer styles and employs high color contrast to differentiate within the product line. In it, we combined the beer's classic character and a color-coding usual for popular craft beer styles.
