This is a vintage wood crate from Harvard Brewing Company, Lowell, MA. Markings appear on all four sides, although somewhat faded. The corners have metal strapping. The top opens to reveal great storage space. There's some wear and tear from age and use. I tried to show the overall condition in my photos. The measurements are: 12" High 21" Wide 13.5" Deep Thanks for checking out my shop. I hope you enjoy this, and the many other great vintage goods I have. All my items are actual vintage, I never sell reproductions. Please review the description and all photos so you're aware of the condition of this item. Description Specs Method PUSH YOUR COFFEE BREWING TO A NEW LEVEL! The inventor of the original Aerobie Flying Ring is apparently not just a one-trick pony - he went and created the AeroPress - an amazing way to brew coffee! And even more amazing is the fact that it has even given birth to the World AeroPress Championship, and has been celebrated by the specialty coffee community! And rightly so. The AeroPress is an exceptionally forgiving and consistent way of making great coffee and is particularly useful for travelling and/or workplace java breaks. It is effectively a big BPA-free plastic syringe with a filter at the end instead of a needle and it makes around 250ml (8oz) of coffee per serving. You can also make a stronger coffee solution and dilute if you so desire but, whichever way you choose, it takes less than a couple of minutes to make a delicious cup of coffee and is really easy to clean. The AeroPress Original comes bundled with everything that you need to get started: AeroPress Stirrer 100 filters Scoop AeroPress Original Capacity: 10oz (296ml) (maximum as stated by AeroPress) AeroPress is BPA, BPS, and Phthalate Free Made from Polypropylene and medical grade thermoplastic elastomer (styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene) 1 year manufacturer warranty on material and workmanship defects AeroPress Original - User Guide So how do you use it? Here's our favourite AeroPress Brew Method: Put your freshly ground and weighed out coffee into the inverted (with the filter end pointing upwards) AeroPress. As a guide, start with 15-16g for 250ml of water and adjust to taste. Put the filter into the filter holder and wash through with hot water to get rid of any nasty paper taste Pour just off-the-boil water over the coffee, filling the AeroPress nearly to the top Stir a prescribed amount of times (we use three) and top off with water Attach the filter holder and secure (before the end of the brew time) Leave to brew for your preferred brew strength (our preference is about a minute from when the water makes contact) Turn over onto the top of your favourite sturdy mug and push down the plunge until the AeroPress is empty, and you hear a slight hissing sound. So how do you clean the AeroPress? You can clean the AeroPress in the top rack of the dishwasher. However, a simple rinse is sufficient because the plunger wipes the chamber. If your chamber ever gets sticky, wash it with vinegar, occasionally removing the seal from the end of the plunger for a good washing inside and out with warm water and dish soap.

Our huge collection of kids books were being stored in a short Ikea billy bookcase in the playroom. I decided to add a craft desk in the playroom, but that meant the books had to go somewhere else!
Saturday, I dove right into my wine storage solution. The sonotube wine rack just wasn't cutting it. You can see that project here! More storage is needed as our winery is growing. One can only make so much jam when you have an abundance of raspberries. So we took up the art of winemaking. I shared our raspberry wine recipe here! I bought some plywood sheathing as a wine bottle doesn't really care what kind of wood it gets to rest on....does it? I guess I should have asked! I had the lumber store cut the wood into more manageable pieces; 13"x48" strips. I cut the smaller pieces for the shelves, at home. For each unit I cut 2 - 13"x42" pieces, 4 - 13"x40 1/2" pieces, 6 - 13x13" pieces. I assembled all four units........ I used my trusty label maker and labeled all the different wines. I guess I could paint the shelving but it kind of matches the pine shelving in our cold room already. So meh......I will leave it for now. Plus I don't think I could be trusted with a paintbrush once I sample the product. Looks like we need to make a lot more wine. Check out my new wine labelling system. It's perfect now!! Cheers!

Vintage Wooden Crate Beer Crate Hull Brewing Company Haven Connecticut - Breweriana - New Haven - Brewery Beer Crate - Vintage Advertising This is an old beer crate from Hull Brewing. While we cannot date it exactly - we typically only see the finger jointed crates like this pre prohibition. The crate does have some old chips, nicks, scrapes and dings throughout. The crate measures 19 1/2" by 13" and 8" tall. The inside bottom is has a space between the two pieces of wood that make up the bottom. The corners are all dovetailed or finger jointed. The Hull Brewing Co. History (found this information online) The Hull Brewing Company was established in New Haven, Connecticut in 1872 by Colonel William Hull. Shortly after it opened it was affectionately referred to as “Hull’s”. Brewing was nonstop at The Hull Brewing Company until prohibition hit in 1920. From 1920 To 1933, while most local breweries shut down, Hull’s stayed in business by producing ice and non-alcoholic malt beverages. Shortly after the repeal of prohibition in 1933, The Hull Brewing Company moved its operations to The Old Fresenius Brewery, located at 820 Congress Avenue, where it thrived. In it’s new location it ultimately became, to this day, Connecticut’s largest brewery. Hull’s was definitively Connecticut’s beer, however, mainly due to pressures from national beer brands penetrating the State, after 105 years it closed in 1977. In January of 2018 a young, 36 at the time, life-long resident of New Haven revived Hull’s. See our other listing for details on the other vintage wood crates. For my nephew who is turning 21, I wanted to use the 'Bubble Over' set to create a pack of beer. I found this photo (right) on Pinterest. No name was attached to it, but it was perfect for what I needed! So THANK YOU whoever you are! Now, I do not own the wooden crate dies, so I created a crate with the 'Wood Textures' DSP. Pretty simple... just 3 horizontal and 2 vertical strips of paper. The color of the beer was a little harder to achieve. I used Crushed Curry... and the full strength was too dark (I guess it could've represented dark beer, but I was going for the shade that was on the right). I decided to see if I stamped off excess ink on a scrap piece of paper before stamping on Whisper White would work. It did! So, I only inked the bottle not quite close to the top of each bottle -- thus making it look like liquid in the bottles! As you can see, with the bottle that is tilted a bit... I stamped the ink on at an angle too! Attention to detail for sure on this card! HA! Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look! Supplies Used: Stamp Set - Bubble Over Ink - Crushed Curry, Memento Paper - Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP, Silver Foil Accessories - Die Cut/Emboss Machine, Bottle and Bubbles Dies, Basic Black Twine

Vintage Wooden Crate Beer Crate Weibel Brewing Company Haven Connecticut - Breweriana - New Haven - Brewery Beer Crate - Vintage Advertising This is an old 1930's beer crate from The Weibel Company out of New Haven Connecticut. This is an absolutely beautiful beer crate in great condition. The black writing really pops on both sides and the red in the logo on the two ends really pops as well. The crate has the metal banding around the outer edges and it is in great condition as well. The crate measures 20" by 13" and 10 1/4" tall. The inside bottom is slatted with compartments to hold 240 bottles. The two long sides have a space of about 1 1/2" open to see the bottom of the beer bottles - this is not a defect - it is the way the crate was produced. The Weibel Brewing Co. History (found this information online) There was a Weibel Brewing Company in New Haven between the years 1859 to 1936. The original brewery was started by Charles Nicklas and was located at 270 – 310 Legion Avenue in New Haven from 1859 to 1883. In 1884 they actually did not move but expanded the brewery and the address was changed to 322 Oak Street. It was at this time that Joseph Weibel became president of the brewery and renamed it “Joseph Weibel’s Oak Brewery”. This lasted between the years 1883 to 1894. Joseph had a son, Joseph Alexander Weibel born October 11, 1876. I mention him now because he was the president of the Weibel Brewing Company at the time when the Imperial can was just a thought on paper. In 1894, Joseph’s wife Teresa Weibel took over as proprietor, lasting until 1898. The original owner, Charles Nicklas, then took over again lasting until 1925. It was at this time that Joseph Alexander Weibel took the helm lasting as president until Weibel went bankrupt in 1936. See our other listing for details on the other vintage wood crates.
