So when homeware brand Tekla reached out to the team to reimagine the packaging system for their bedding collection, Goods went back to the drawing board to craft a direction that would not only use materials that are kinder to the environment, but would also redefine the very notion of luxury. Within Little Brazil, Norwalk, you’ll find Ipanema; a four-decade-old family-run restaurant serving a mix of Brazilian and Portuguese food that has thrived as a result of the family’s roots. Paying homage to this rich history, and the loyal customers that have grown alongside it, NYC-based creative agency Saint-Urbain have designed a fresh identity for Ipanema – keeping their heritage and kinship in mind, alongside the bustling retrospective inspiration of Brazil’s Rio De Janeiro during the 1970s.
Since we featured their ‘Turn the Page’ campaign in October 2021, Montreal-based design agency Wedge have continued their work with Indigo; creating a revitalised identity system for Canada’s largest cultural department store. Maintaining some core aspects of Bruce Mau’s original 1996 identity, such as the logomark and signature indigo blue hue, Wedge sought to take the surrounding elements in a playful new direction – aligning the friendly verbal identity of the brand with its visual aesthetic.
