At times, photos are intentionally humorous, while other times, they simply capture a perfect moment due to fortunate timing. Although context can enhance the humor, many photos are able to be funny without any explanation. Presented here is a collection of amusing pictures that may lack a clear pattern or rhythm but are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Happy Friday! I can hardly believe my birthday is next Friday, which is also the first day of November. It's mind blowing! How are we already into the final months of 2013?! My dear friend Nicole, from Bloom, and I have been so excited to finally announce this Instagram challenge we've been planning for the last few weeks. Since I am smitten with everything "home" related, and November is a month where we truly remember to reflect on our blessings, many of which begin at home, we created this 30 day Instagram challenge. We're calling it the Joy Filled Home Challenge and we'd LOVE for you to join us! Below are the prompts for each day in November. November 1st (my birthday!), we'll kick off with posting a picture of your favorite room in your house. Be sure to read through each of the prompts before you start taking pictures each day, so you can really think about what you want to capture :) Be sure to use the hashtag #JOYFILLEDHOMECHALLENGE and tag Nicole and I in your post so we can go through all the pictures! We really can't wait to see all the photos of where you call "home" and really use this month intentionally to focus on everything God has blessed us with. So, if your house is big or small, finished or completely in the middle of projects, rented or owned, house or apartment (or even a dorm room!), we hope you'll join in the fun. Feel free to spread the word about this challenge! We made the image below for you to put on your blogs or instagrams: Follow us on instagram: @michaelanoelle & @nicolevcole Comment below and let us know if you're in! Happy weekend! xoxo

Given that her complete catalogue is composed almost entirely of work she produced as a student, the posthumous critical esteem for American photographer Francesca Woodman is astonishing. Unlike music or math, where precocious displays of talent are not uncommon, photography tends not to have prodigies. Woodman, who committed suicide in 1981 at age 22, is considered a rare exception. That she has achieved such status is all the more remarkable considering only a quarter of the approximately 800 images she produced—many of them self-portraits—have ever been seen by the public.
