Description Light/Soil/Water Hardiness Pachyphytum Oviferum is a very rare and attractive succulent with pinkish chubby pebble-like leaves covered with a thin layer of white powder. It's highly sought after because many people love their lovely color and unique appearance. In winter to early spring, it produces dark pink bell-shaped flowers. Plants may be shipped bare root. It is a tender soft succulent that is not frost tolerant and need protection from hot sunlight. Extremely fragile. Some leaves may fall off during shipping. This moonstone is pink, but during shipping it may change color due to the condition in the box. It will turn pink and thrive again if well taken care of. This is a fragile plant, so we'll try our best to pack it very carefully with multiple layers of bubblewrap and peanuts, and the box will have multiple fragile signs. However, we cannot control how USPS handle packages. Therefore please understand that we cannot offer replacement or refund if some leaves break during transportation! We're more than happy to share tips on leaf propagation, so please feel free to let us know if you have any question. This plant is hardy down to around 25 degrees F. It does enjoy regular watering during the warmer months but it must be protected from cold weather (below freezing) during the winter. You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, please be aware that no 2 plants are exactly the same. Also be careful of overwatering because it may be prone to root rot if soil remains wet for too long. See more about my blog: How to care for Moonstones Pachyphytum Well-draining soil. Partial shade to full sun. Avoid letting water sit for too long in the rosette to prevent rot and fungal diseases. Generally non-toxic to humans and animals USDA Zone 10a: to -1.1 °C (30 °F) USDA Zone 10b: to 1.7 °C (35 °F) USDA Zone 11: above 4.5 °C (40 °F).
