I am so excited to introduce you guys to my favorite, most meaningful quilt pattern yet, Interwoven! I designed this quilt as a gift for my husband. He's been asking for a quilt of his own for the past several years. I've been hesitant to get started on such a project because well, I wanted it to be perfect. The colors, the design, the quilting, everything! If you've seen our home decor, you'd quickly pick up the fact that we love neutrals. Little pops of color here and there are nice, but overall, I love calm and soothing color palates for the majority of our decor. Sometimes grays feel a little too cool for me, but I really love the soft and warm tone of Kona Doeskin. I'd maybe call it more of a tan gray. I paired Doeskin with Kona Snow (always my go-to white), and I knew that I wanted his quilt to contain only these two colors. When brainstorming designs, I wanted to create something timeless. Block-based patterns are nice, but I just didn't picture that kind of quilt on Peter's recliner. I wanted something with depth and movement. Something that made you stop and stare. I love geometry and playing lines and shapes this was a fun challenge for me! I played around with these lines on my computer for several months before I was happy with the overall aesthetic of the quilt. I then turned my plans into action, and I ended up loving it even more than I originally did! And most importantly, he loves it too. :) While I am a huge fan of two color quilts, I know that many of you love color and gradients. I do too, in the right context :) So I decided to introduce a fun color option for this quilt. I toyed around with how to incorporate colors into the quilt. Alternating colors between the lines was an option, but that seemed too busy and circus-like to me. I finally decided on doing a gradient across the horizontal axis of the quilt to give it a entirely different look. Not only do your eyes move with the lines, they also move as the colors fade from top to bottom. Love it! This is such a fun quilt to use with color gradients! The throw size uses eleven colors while the crib size uses nine. I suggest choosing 1-3 colors, then build your various shades from those colors. Both the two color and multi-color versions include instructions for two sizes, Crib (42

It's here! My Homecoming quilt pattern is now available! . . I designed this quilt as a gift to myself during one of the craziest times of my life. The symmetry and bold shapes reminded me of the comforts of home. After four unexpected and extremely long months of temporary housing, this quilt was all that I could think about. This design symbolizes warmth, comfort and a sense of belonging. . . My initial draft of the design only used two colors (because ya'll know how much I love two-color quilts!) There's just something about the simplicity and character of a quilt that has minimal colors. Its calming in the sense that, your mind doesn't have to figure out how to categorize it. Your eyes don't bounce around as much and you're simply invited to sit and rest on the overall design on the quilt- not so much on the fabrics. They're almost soothing, in a sense. I then decided to spice things up and see what would happen if I added extra colors. For my cover quilt, I knew that wanted to use Art Gallery Fabrics, since their fabrics are just so soft and drape-y. I have recently fallen in love with quilts that have darker backgrounds (have you read my Sage Vintage Lace blog post??). As I was looking through all of their colors, Magnetism really caught my eye. But what to pair with it? Ohhhhh, how I love me some peaches. I was immediately drawn to these four colors. I love that they are slightly similar to each other, but yet they each bring something different to the table. . . The colors are Art Gallery Pure solids: Peach Sherbet (a typo on the chip) Apricot Crepe Cinnamon Raw Gold Magnetism I have a quilt kit for this exact quilt in my shop! Everything in my shop is handmade, by me. I put a lot of love into each and every item that I make. The pictures shown in this listing will reflect what your quilt will look like. All prints used in the picture will be the prints used to create your quilt. Placement of the fabric will vary, as each quilt is made to be uniquely yours. This particular quilt has a lovely floral mix, with earth toned colors, lots of creams, golds, browns, and yellows. All together these prints create a magical little quilt. The quilt top is made out of 100% cotton quilting fabrics. The fabric in the picture will be the fabrics used to create your quilt. If you wish to customize the prints (add or take something away) please message me ahead of time to make sure I can accommodate your request. Each square is hand cut, pieced together and sewn by me. The center of the quilt will have a thin layer of 100% cotton quilting batting. The batting helps add a little weight and warmth, while still keeping the quilt light weight. The bottom of the quilt will have a minky dimple dot print. There will be a few color options for the backing. If you do not select a color, I will use the same color as shown in the listing pictures. The minky on the back makes this quilt extra SOFT and cozy, perfect for a new baby. If you would rather have a cotton quilting fabric on the back as well, the back can be done in one single print of your choice, found in the quilt. Quilts are made with both baby and parents in mind. These quilts are durable and meant to be well loved by your little one! Easy to care for: Machine washable on delicate and dry on the lowest heat setting.
